Read A Hundred Thoughts Volume 2 Page 3

violence,

  Screams of our silence,

  Piles of misery,

  Criminals running free,

  Hateful words,

  Bullets flying like birds,

  Friends as enemies,

  Chasing after liberties,

  Negative emotions,

  Doubts and confusions,

  Only one way to live;

  Without taking what you give.

  86

How much longer can these walls hold me?

For I want to live young and free.

The door of Love closed on my face,

So I’m not sure if I can win this race.

I dwell in my past for I’ve got no present.

The only help I have is from heaven sent.

They burnt my wings so I can’t fly.

All these smiles look so dry.

Even my shadow has now left my side.

There’s no one in whom I can confide.

The box of dreams lies in the dark at night.

People around me just scream and fight.

I wish to say something in my defense,

But they take my words as an offense.

I am forced to do as I am told.

All my freedom – gone and sold.

My rights are colored as wrongs.

All my friends are now books and songs.

  Hatred spills from every mouth.

They give me their problems to figure out.

I need nothing from those who hate me.

They’ve got black hearts they can’t see.

  87

  Somewhere in a raging sea

  Floats a treasure all free.

Many lives have been lost searching for it.

Some say it is with a great light lit.

No one has yet located its origins,

Or if it has survived any curses or sins.

They say good things to all who wait,

For you never know what's written in your fate.

  88

There is a world behind these stars.

A light always shines behind jail bars.

Beneath the great seas lies a treasure.

There are more wonders that one can measure.

Nature always writes its songs on leaves.

On these clouds an unseen genie heaves.

The complete reality never comes by

For there is always more than meets the eye.

  89

Dream spirals reach into the sky.

All your love will soon grow wings and fly.

Embers of hope sprout out of the fire.

Memory towers grow higher and higher.

Now and then, an idea lights up this darkness.

The aura of thought comes in consciousness.

The magic lights of the mind never go out.

With every answer, there is always room for doubt.

  90

  Waking up and living,

How these days keep on giving.

Small or big, love finds its way.

There are more words left to say.

Give or take, it’s a choice of possibility

Of living in this fake reality.

Neither the moon nor the sun

Can keep up with the moments that run.

  91

They are marching me to my death tomorrow.

I am not sure if I feel any sorrow.

The feeling to be free rages inside me.

They are just too blind in their glee.

So they say that death is an end,

Yet I am sure I will find myself time to lend.

All that I saw with my eyes

Has now burnt like faded butterflies.

So now that I have nothing to lose,

They will force me to choose.

  92

I cannot often become what I want to.

Some songs I would like to sing to you.

A little smile creeps up on your face

As you think you are winning in you imaginary race.

We both love in our own ways.

Remember our fights and our good days.

Turn the corner to stumble on my broken dreams

For only you can mend them, it seems.

  93

Color this void with your imagination.

Everything is possible with a little determination.

Sounds and images can be manipulated.

All you are now is forgotten and hated.

Never will this feeling sink into your heart

If you keep on wandering about where to start.

  94

I was the page with ink all over.

On my sidelines your words hover.

I was a guitar with broken strings.

Then you came along and gave me wings.

Unprepared lines were on my script.

Your ship kept me safe and adrift.

Dark was the place I rested in.

Your kindness erased all my sin.

Before our callous hearts could mend,

The inevitable Time brought us to an end.

  95

When will we reach the depths of our mistake?

All your love is but for your own sake.

Your voice is stuck in my deteriorating mind.

Give me clues to answers I cannot find.

Do not make me regret the choice I have made now.

When I am gone, you ask them why and how.

Do not lose the race you never were a part of.

These roads you walk on are broken and rough.

Goodbye is the only thing we have yet to say

Before we forget and go our separate way.

  96

How would they feel if we break and tether?

Sometimes all it takes is a red feather.

The bullets dangle in the warm, still air.

No one will try even they could dare.

Doing and asking is never the same.

Their money melts in their empty fame.

  Pleading before an empty throne,

Are they sure they aren’t a failed clone?

How and when and why and what

Is all the logic they never sought.

Temples in your mind, they burn.

So before they lose faith, just run.

  97

You said you would wait, so I stood.

Beneath my feet, the ground shook.

The sky refused to stay upright.

Light dances in my blinded sight.

Burn these words that float in me.

Everyone is deaf, no one can see.

We blink and the love we share

Is won over by life’s dare.

  98

It feels so lively to jump off rooftops.

Laughter erupts when the death cry stops.

Blood and bone, ashes and dust,

All we are is pieces of iron covered with rust.

Poisoned is my heart, broken is my mind.

Our hands find nothing with which to bind.

Rest in peace, when you hug the ground.

Don’t go too far, you’re lost before you’re found.

  99

  You and I and the people around us;

  All the birds up there creating a fuss;

  June and July and Sunday and Monday;

  So many deaths on your birthday;

  Remember and answer and doubt;

From the earth blood roots will sprout.

  Nothing, everything, and all that is in between;

So much we do not feel, things we have not seen.

  100

Silence – the image you stare into.

Misery – your refuge in days of black and blue.

Hope – a friend you murdered in cold blood.

Courage – the ship thrusting you in love’s flood.

Doubt – your excuse for caring less.

Ignorance – your way of cleaning your mess.

Hate – your cover up for promisi
ng.

Lies – your bandage to stop the bleeding.

Love – a stranger you’ve yet to meet.

Life – only colour you don’t see.
