Read A Not So Perfect Ending: Story of the Lost Girl Page 4

“He’s not. He’s my brother, he wouldn’t do it” replied Nicolette

As the two girls argue, Nicolas got up to his feet behind his sister and with a rock, he hit her head hard causing her to fall to the ground and eventually fall unconscious. He quickly snatched the gun from her hand and pointed it out to Savannah.

“Last chance gal. You either go with her to hell or you go with me and we’ll forget this happened” he said as he held still the gun on his hand

Savannah looked at the bleeding girl at her feet and back to the guy pointing a gun to her head. She had no other chance to save the girl but be with the guy.

“Alright. I will be with you but please don’t kill her. She didn’t do anything. It was your father, all the three of us hate your father” she said as she kneeled down pleading for the guy to not kill his sister

Nicolas looked at Nicolette and back to the kneeling girl.

“I promise I won’t ever see her if you let her live” said Savannah

Nicolas hesitated but then agreed. He loved Savannah as much as he loved himself and he didn’t want to share her with anyone, not especially with his sister.

“Let’s take her back to the cabin” said Sav holding her hand out to Nicolas to take the gun from him

Nicolas gave her the gun and leaned down to take his sister but before he could take Nicolette, he fell down on top of his sister eyes wide open and face covered with blood. He got shot to head by Savannah.

Nicolette woke up in pain. She saw her brother, head laid down on her stomach, unconscious. Dead. Dead she thought to herself and looked around. When she didn’t see anyone around, she quickly got up to her feet and stared at the dead body of her brother for quite some time. She still cannot believe what just happened. She couldn’t believe that her brother she loved the most, hated her for all his life. She cried ignoring the blood on her face and suddenly she remembered about Savannah. She must’ve done this, she saved me and she smiled though still in tears.

  Chapter 11

Savannah left right after she shot Nicolas on the head. She was sure he’s already dead so she ran as fast as she can to escape. She was certain Nicolette wouldn’t want to see her again after everything that happened. From her lying to her killing Nicolette’s brother, she was sure Nicolette, who she loves the most will never want to see her again but she was wrong.

Nicolette went back to the cabin and cleaned her wound. She wrapped her head with a bandage and took a pain killer. She planned to call Savannah to tell her to come back but she felt weak so she went to her bedroom and slept the pain away.

Nicolette was awoken by a knock on her door what she said to herself who would drive to here at this time of night she thought and remembered about Savannah, she got up and ran downstairs hoping it was Savannah. She opened the door and saw Savannah standing there; she smiled and motioned her to come in when she noticed police cars behind the girl.

Confused as she was, she looked at Savannah with questions in her eyes but before she could speak, the policeman handcuffed her and took her to the police car.

“W-what’s going on?” she asked as she was being taken to the car, she looked back at Savannah “What the hell’s going on” she yelled at Savannah but Savannah just looked at her with those glaring eyes.

With Nicolette being arrested and Nicolas dead, Savannah, who was lost to herself, smiled widely. And as she was going to get herself a drink, her head throbbed and she lost consciousness.

Savvy… she heard a voice calling her name, she was dreaming.

Sav wake up baby the voice said and she was certain it was Nicolette, she opened her eyes and there was no one there but her. She got up and walked to the window, I am lost I am so lost she cried. Then there, she realized what she’s done to her love. She ruined her life, killed her brother and sent her to prison when she’s done nothing but love her.

Bewildered, she sits on the windowsill staring at the unending darkness of the night. Not one star glittered in the sky tonight, even they, are lost too she thought to herself and tears came streaming down her face. She wept for a little while and crawled back to bed, pulled the cover over her body and forced herself to sleep.
