Chapter Three
The next morning Nine planned out his assassination. He would enter the house as Mandy's date, seduce Kyle Colt, get him alone in the room, then complete the mission before leaving the party unnoticed. He would check out, get into his ship, and camouflage his way out of the planet. Everything seemed to fit.
Nine messaged Strawberry, requesting information on Agent Six and Natalie's mission on planet Katy Perry, but received a reply that indicated the mission was still active. Something about sharks and beach balls, as well as a robot tigers that got in the way of Natalie and Six's mission. They were probably still working on it.
Nine decided to wear his black Boss suit, and shoes for the party. The shoes were a nice touch. He gelled his hair and brushed his eyebrows, trying to look nice for Mandy. He even sprayed a bit of cologne on his pants, in case things got heavy. Not that he was planning for it, but he wanted to be prepared. He then hid the bobby pin in an inner jacket pocket, his gun in his pants pocket, and his pocket knife in his underwear. He then placed the pocket knife in his shoe, thinking that maybe his underwear was a bad hiding spot for a knife.
When Nine reached the lobby of the hotel he spotted Mandy entering the bar. She wore a navy blue elegant dress and high heels. Nine walked to the bar after her. She sat down and glanced at him. She was very taken by his formal look and watched him take a seat next to her.
"Wow, look at you, you handsome devil." She giggled.
"Thank you." He replied and called the bartender over.
"I will have a beer and..." he looked over to Mandy who replied "a glass of white wine please."
"You look very nice yourself." Nine smiled at Mandy.
"I made the right choice then." she smiled back at Nine. "I have a car waiting for us outside the hotel."
The bartender placed their drinks on the bar and went to tend to customers on the other side. Nine loved Mandy's company.
"So what type of poetry to you write?" she asked him.
"Oh, the typical sunrise this and sunset that. Describing the senses, wishful thinking and that sort of thing." Nine gulped down his beer.
The two finished their drinks and got into a limo that was waiting for them just outside the hotel entrance. The limo took the couple through a dark forest, then turned onto a road that lead straight up the mountain to Kyle's house. The night made it hard for Nine to make out the road.
Once the limo pulled up to the house, Nine noticed it was well lit, with bright spot lights all around. There were many well dressed guests on his property, and camera men were also well dressed, aiming camera lenses on everyone at the party, but were off the property.
When the limo pulled up, the driver opened the back door allowing Mandy step out first, and Nine as her date, followed her. Mandy led Nine inside the house and grabbed two champagne glasses from a tray that was placed at the entrance. Nine gulped it down and followed Mandy, through the crowd, upstairs, and to the bedroom. Nine then realized what was about to go down. He wasn't against it, he just didn't plan it.
"I can't deny this attraction to you Tatum." Mandy pulled him closer to her. He wanted to kiss her but then, remembered the mission.
"Uh... Mandy, isn't it a little inappropriate to be doing this on your ex-husband's bed?" he asked her.
"Well duh!" she laughed at him.
"I will be right back." Nine pulled away from her kisses. "Let me get you another drink." he then quickly left the bedroom. Mandy didn't follow him, which gave Nine some time to find Kyle.
When Nine walked downstairs, to the spacious entrance of the house, through the crowd of many, well dressed guests, he looked around, trying to spot Kyle. He then walked to the kitchen, and found Kyle talking to a butler.
"I wanted shrimp! Not crabs! Shrimp!" he yelled at the butler who was shaking.
"Excuse me sir." Nine interrupted Kyle who was spanking the butler. Kyle looked at Nine, pushed away the butler, and was immediately wooed by his presence.
"Ah! You are Mandy's date are you not?" Kyle asked Nine.
"Yes." Nine replied. "I'd also like to talk to you about something."
"Well then, go ahead." Kyle nodded.
"Privately... I mean." Nine winked.
"Oh." Kyle looked around the kitchen. "Follow me then." and lead Nine to a room at the back of the house. It appeared to be Kyle's office. It was large, with books decorating the walls, a big desk in the middle, and it had high ceilings. As soon as the door behind them closed Nine pulled out his gun from his pocket and pointed it at Kyle's head.
"I know who you are." Kyle nervously said before Nine could pull the trigger. "You work for that Earth organization. Sebastian trained you. You probably don't remember me."
"How do you know Sebastian?" Nine asked, still pointing a gun at Kyle.
"You see, your organization is in trouble. Everything is hidden from you guys. Sebastian knew about it. He knew I was about to expose you all."
"What do you mean?" Nine questioned Kyle further.
"Your organization did good and saved many, but it also destroyed things, and you've made enemies my friend. Enemies who soon helped fund your organization to get to where it is today. Your organization is part owner of some of the worst drug cartels in the galaxy. Making you all responsible for half the war crimes that have happened in the last decade." Kyle paused and took a few steps back. "You are agent Nine, I knew you were coming for me. Sebastian warned me. He told me to keep my mouth shut or else." Kyle walked over to his desk and pulled out a letter. He then placed it on top of the desk. "Look for yourself." he pointed to it.
"So you're aware of my current mission Mr. Colt." Nine stated. "I must proceed and complete it."
Just then Mandy walked through the office door and saw her date pointing a gun to her ex-husband.
"I always pick the crazy ones!" She began to cry and stormed out of the room.
"Mandy!" Nine shouted as he turned around to go after her.
Kyle opened the office window and leaped out of it. Nine turned around, ran by the desk grabbing the letter, quickly folding it into his pocket, and ran to the window leaping out after Kyle who took off into the woods. Nine ran after him. It was too dark and soon Kyle was nowhere to be seen. Nine had lost him. He then decided to go back to his hotel and report back to Strawberry of his failed mission.
Nine ran back to his hotel on foot, still remembering the road from his memory, he took out the letter and read it aloud.
"Mr. Colt, as part of our agreement I granted you a wealthy amount of free passes. Your organized crimes are becoming a concern to the president but a huge profit for our organization. We request a take over as the president wants to absorb your business. I suggest you hand it over peacefully or you will find yourself pushing up daisies. Please do understand our agreement and read the fine print in our contract. Best of luck, Sebastian. PS: Also I'd appreciate it if you burned this letter, thank you in advance."
