Read Barrel of Monkeys Page 16

“Excellent idea.” Both men withdrew. Then they flipped her over onto her back, her head hanging off the edge of the desk.

Echo reached down and cradled her head so she wasn’t just hanging in space. “Open wide.” She did, and he slid his cock in, not deep enough to gag her, but as if gauging her reaction. “You’re going to get real good at deep throat if you stay with us,” he said, his voice husky and raw. “Nothing hotter than having a beautiful woman impaled between us, cock at both ends and coming all over us.”

She closed her eyes as Omega slung her legs over his shoulders. She thought he was about to fuck her again, but then his hands clamped around her thighs and she felt warm breath brush against her clit.

“What a sweet pussy,” he said before he latched onto her clit with his lips.

The explosion caught her by surprise. Echo’s fingers tightened around her scalp and he eased his cock in a little deeper to muffle her screams of pleasure. “There you go. You needed a little relief, didn’t you? Poor baby, you’ve probably been neglected for too damn long.”

She sobbed, moaning as wave after wave of pleasure crested through her. Omega’s hands slid up her abdomen and to her breasts, where he started pinching her nipples.

That set off the second round of explosions.

  Holy…fuck…

She’d never come this hard in her life. Or multiple times.

She started squirming on the desk, the sensations overwhelming, too intense for her to take, but the men were serious about their business.

“No,” Echo said. “You’re going to lie there and enjoy it,” he said. “You obviously haven’t had a real man to take care of your needs, so we’re going to give you a preview of what’s in store for you if you decide to throw your hat in with us.” His voice bore a teasing edge, but since all she could see were his inner thighs and his balls if she opened her eyes, she closed them again and let them have her.

Not like she was stupid enough to fight them. This was better than even the best sex she’d ever had with Dave, and this was only the appetizer.

Omega switched it up between playing with her nipples, to finger-fucking her, even teasing her ass with one finger while his thumb slid deep into her pussy. All the while his busy mouth sucked and licked and kept her rolling down one long pleasure wave that Echo kept talking her through.

Finally, Omega sat up. “What do you think?” he asked Echo.

“Been nearly ten minutes. I think we’re pushing our luck on time,” he said.

  “Okay.”

He stood, her ankles on his shoulders, and grabbed his cock, feeding it easily into her well-lubed cunt. He slid all the way in, leaning forward a little as he reached between her legs to find her clit. “Maybe one more.” He rolled her clit back and forth between his fingers, and Echo had to ease his cock deep into her throat once more.

  Echo chuckled. “How’s she feel?”

“Fucking snug, buddy. Like she was made for us.”

“Next time, it’s my turn.” He started fucking her mouth as Omega started fucking her pussy with his hands wrapped around her thighs, the two men finding a rhythm she had nothing to do with. They didn’t need her help, and she was shocked when one last, tiny orgasm rippled through her.

“Aw, now I done gone and did it,” Omega joked.

“What?” Echo gasped, his cock starting to grow even harder and hotter in her mouth.

“I think I just fucked one more out of her,” he said.

Echo let out a tense laugh. “Then we just ruined her for any other men, buddy.” He let out a groan as he took one last thrust in her mouth. “Swallow it all, baby,” he said. “That’s all yours from now on, as long as you want it. Nobody else gets it.”

She did, the salty, tangy taste far better than she ever remembered Dave’s being.

Then Omega came, burying his cock deep in her pussy with one last, hard thrust. “Good thing we took it easy on you this time.”

Echo helped her sit up and Omega pulled her into his arms. He kissed her, and she tasted her juices on his lips. He pulled her legs around his hips and turned, sitting on the desk.

“You just wait,” Echo warned from the other side of the desk, a wide smile on his face and a twinkle in his blue gaze. “You just wait until we get somewhere we can have a few hours alone with you and we work our cocks into that sweet pussy and that tight ass of yours at the same time.” He leaned across the desk and kissed her. “We do that, you’ll never want any other men, ever again. We promise.”

Heaven help her, she wanted it right then and knew there was no way they could do it. Too much risk as it was of someone interrupting them.

Her gaze caught the Baynes family picture lying facedown on the desk, and guilt swept over her. She had responsibilities, and here she was, fucking two practical strangers on her former boss’ desk.

  Buzzkill.

Now she needed to clean herself up again. She finally untangled herself from Omega, and she realized she was standing there naked while the two men were basically still dressed.

  “I…uh…”

They laughed. “Need to clean up?” Omega asked.

She nodded. She grabbed clean clothes, wrapped her towel around her, and ran to the bathroom.

A few minutes later, she returned freshened up and fully dressed. The men had put themselves together, and pulled her between them, Echo in front of her.

“Are you okay, Gia?” he asked.

“Yeah, I’m just…the good kind of shocked.”

Omega laughed, a deep, rich, rumbling sound. “We’ve had that reaction in the past.”

“Oh. And here I thought I’d be shocking you.”

Now both men chuckled. “Honey,” Omega said, “you’d have to be sporting a peen in your pants to shock us.”

  “Why?”

Echo’s grin spread from ear to ear. “Because we’re straight and you’re hot. And nothing against peen, but we both have one and only want to grope our own, thank you very much.”

“Yeah,” Omega said. “We’d much prefer you were groping our peens for the long haul.”

Heat filled her, head to toe. “That sounds like a plan I can get behind.

  Chapter Twenty-Four

It took Gia a few minutes around other people for her cheeks to stop burning. She thought for sure everyone would know what she’d done with the two hunks, but no one acted different.

  Only her.

“Let’s go take a ride,” she said to the men once she’d eaten and made sure everything was still going as smoothly as possible at the station under the circumstances.

  “Why?” Omega asked.

“I’ve neglected some duties. I need to go by the chief’s house and check on his wife, for starters. See if she got out okay. Then I should go do some other family checks.”

  “Then let’s go,” Echo said.

They told Papa they were leaving and headed out in Gia’s official SUV. Her gut tightened the closer they got to Chief Baynes’ house.

How am I going to break this to his wife?

Gia hoped it didn’t make her a coward for hoping the woman wasn’t there. Family notification was, by far, the suckiest part of her job.

  Period.

And Gia didn’t know the woman very well, either. Yes, Gia had met her at holiday parties, official functions, things like that. But it wasn’t like she socialized with the woman.

“You all right?” Omega asked from his place riding shotgun.

“Ask me when I get through this,” she darkly said.

When she turned the final corner and the man’s house came into view, Gia saw a car and an SUV parked in the driveway, both standing there with the doors wide open and obviously in the process of being loaded for a long journey.

She slid her SUV in at the curb and shut it off, getting out and remembering to open the back door for Echo while Omega exited the passenger side.

Then a man walked out the front door, his arms laden with boxes, his face hidden by the
m.

Gia’s heart sped up, not quite believing what she was seeing. Surely that was one of his sons.

But when the man reached the car and turned, jumping a little, startled to see her there, he laughed. “Um, hey, Gia.”

With Omega and Echo close behind her, she walked up to him, completely forgetting that, up until a couple of days earlier, he’d been her boss.

And, technically, still was. “Um, dude? What the fuck? How long have you been back? Why didn’t you report in?”

“Look, I logged in from my home computer last night when I made it back, I saw you had taken command, and knew I wasn’t needed.”

Apparently she’d started to take a swing at him, because before she realized it, both Omega and Echo were struggling to pull Gia back and away from him while his wife came running from the house, drawn out onto their front porch by the commotion.

“You son of a bitch!” Gia screamed at him. “I had a fucking National Guard kid get his goddamned head blown off! Their friend was shot and killed! And you’re just fucking opting out?”

“You don’t understand what it’s like out there!” he screamed back “Fucking Kiters all over the place. Like a goddamned horror movie. I was the only one who made it back out from our group, okay? We got separated from the rest of the units and I barely made it out with my life.”

“You stick tested, man?” Omega asked him.

Baynes straightened a little. “Excuse me? Just who the hell are you?”

Omega handed Gia off to Echo, who could barely manage her on his own as she still struggled to get to Baynes to smack him. Omega reached into his pocket and pulled out a portable box of stick tests. “You been exposed. You test clear lately?”

“Well, I was close to Kiters and fought them, sure, but I wasn’t bitten.”

Before the man could react, Omega had grabbed his hand and jabbed him with a test strip.

Gia’s struggles ceased and she looked on in horror as the strip turned blue almost immediately.

“Get her back,” Omega told Echo. He dropped the test strip and let go of the man’s hand, stepping back and drawing his sidearm, holding it on the man.

“Just who the hell do you think you are?” Baynes yelled. His wife walked up behind him.

“We’re military. SOTIF unit. We’re in charge in this area right now. Ma’am, step back. Don’t touch him. He’s blue.” His wife nervously stepped back, staring at her husband with fear in her eyes.

“That can’t be right,” Baynes said. “Test me again. I didn’t get bit!”

“Hold out your hand,” Omega quietly ordered.

  Baynes did.

Omega, without touching him, shook a test strip into his hand. “Ma’am, you, too.”

She held out a trembling hand and he shook a test strip into her hand as well.

Echo spoke into Gia’s ear. “You got disinfecting wipes or hand sanitizer in your first aid kit?”

  “Yeah.”

“Get them.” He released her, and she ran to her unit.

Meanwhile, both Baynes and his wife tested blue.

“Motherfucker,” Echo whispered as Gia returned to his side and spotted the positive tests.

Gia stood there, in shock, the package of wipes in her hand. “Fuck, Rick,” she said. “You fucking came home last night, screwed your wife, and gave it to her, didn’t you?”

“But I didn’t get bit!” he yelled as his wife broke down crying behind him.

“Did you even think to test yourself before you came home? You had damn test strips with you!”

“Doc got better,” Echo softly said, just loudly enough Omega and Gia could hear him.

“Doc never tested blue, either,” Omega countered. “He stayed clear the whole time. They’re both blue.”

“Give me another strip,” Baynes said. “It has to be a mistake.”

Omega tossed the whole box at him and backed up another healthy step toward Gia and Echo. Baynes and his wife tested themselves again. Gia held the open package of wipes out to Omega and he pulled one out with his free hand. He wiped his hands and the butt and grips of his sidearm as well, transferring the gun from one hand to the other to make sure he got everything. Then he took a second wipe and repeated the process, just to make sure.

He dropped both wipes onto the ground. They stood watching the couple. Baynes’ strip turned blue almost instantly, while it took his wife’s a little time to get there.

Three more tests for both of them, each with the same result.

“Rick, this is bad,” Gia said. “You know it is. Have you had contact with your kids?”

The couple exchanged a glance. “No,” his wife said. “We were supposed to meet up with them in an hour.”

“You aren’t going to do that now,” Gia said. “You can’t. You’ll infect them all. Your kids, your grandkids.”

“I don’t feel sick,” Baynes insisted. “I’m fine. Those strips have to be wrong.”

Gia handed the package wipes off to Echo, reached down, and thumbed the snap on the strap holding her sidearm secure in its holster. She rested her hand on the butt of her weapon. “We have po-clo,” she gently told him. “Just like going to sleep.”

“Can’t you pretend you didn’t see us? I promise, we won’t touch them.”

“Really?” Omega asked. “You and your wife want to risk infecting your kids? Grandkids? Seriously? What kind of fucking man are you?”

“It’s a death sentence,” Echo added. “You know that.”

“Didn’t you people say someone got better?” Baynes asked. “I heard you.”

“One our guys caught a mutated form of Kite. But he never tested blue,” Omega said as he lowered his gun. “It was a different strain.”

“Well, maybe ours is mutated, too,” Baynes insisted. “We can stay here in the house, then, Gia. Send someone to check every day and make sure we’re here until we test clear again. We’ll lock the doors and not let anyone in. Tell the kids to go on, that we’ll catch up with them once we’re sure we’re okay. I swear, we won’t leave the house.”

  “I can’t do that, Rick.”

“Yes, you can. This will be okay—”

“This isn’t going to be okay,” Gia said, shifting her weight a little as she turned her left side more toward him. Narrower target, and he couldn’t see how the fingers of her right hand now curled around the grip in preparation to draw. “You know it won’t be okay.”

“But I didn’t get bit!” he yelled, his face growing red. “I swear!”

“You get blood on you?” Echo called out.

  “I…” His face went slack.

“There was blood on your uniform, Rick,” his wife softly said, horror creeping over her expression. “A lot of it.”

“Shut up, Malley,” he warned her.

Her jaw trembled. “It was all over your shirt and pants and I washed them last night. I presoaked them in the laundry sink. I used gloves like you told me, but maybe it splashed or something…” She looked ill.

Well, maybe it hadn’t been his welcome-home fuck that infected her after all.

Gia started to chide herself for the thought. This was anything but a joking matter.

But then Rick Baynes bared his teeth at them and reached behind him, and instantaneously Gia knew exactly how this would end. She drew her sidearm and fired before Baynes even cleared his concealed pistol from the holster tucked into the back of his waistband. Even before Omega could bring his gun up.

Her shot struck Baynes dead center in his forehead and he dropped with a sickening, wet thud. His sidearm hit the grass next to the sidewalk and fortunately didn’t go off.

Unfortunately, a spray of his blood and brain matter misted his wife standing a few feet behind him.

  Shit.

Gia maintained her stance, gun up and trained on the fallen man, while Echo eased around and looked without getting too close. He nodded.

Then the wife began screaming, collapsing to her knees on the sidewalk, hands
out in front of her.

“Just kill me! Please, just kill me, too!”

Omega holstered his weapon and rested a hand on Gia’s shoulder. “You don’t have to do this. One of us will, if you want.”

She shook her head. “My first aid kit’s on the tailgate. It’s open. Bring it to me.”

Gia now trained her weapon on the wife, hoping she didn’t have to shoot her, too. She didn’t want to kill her like this. She hadn’t wanted to shoot Chief Baynes, but she damn sure wasn’t going to let him kill any of them.

And she couldn’t let them walk out of there knowing they were infected with Kite.

Omega returned with the kit and held it out. “Echo,” she said, “in the bottom there’s a dark blue zipper pouch. Pre-filled boluses. Get me one, and a set of gloves, please.”

He did, getting them ready. She traded him her sidearm for the items and he followed her closely over to the sobbing wife, keeping the gun trained on her as he did.

“Malley,” Gia gently said, “please get up and let’s go inside.” She had to fight her instinct to reach down and help the woman to her feet.

“Just kill me now,” she sobbed. “Kill me, I don’t want to live without him.”

“Malley, this will be okay. Just, please, get up, and let’s go inside.”

Gia didn’t want to have to order her to do it, but she really didn’t want to do this outside, either.

They’d been taught what to do if they faced a Kiter who wouldn’t comply with orders. Gia had medic training in the past as part of her ongoing first-responder training, and had been trained in how to administer the shots.

But she didn’t want to force herself to pull that trigger again. Not with the scent of powder still lingering in the air, her ears still ringing from the report.

And she wouldn’t wimp out, shirk her duty, and ask the men to do it for her, either, even if they had offered.

Finally, Malley Baynes stumbled to her feet and through the front door, into their living room.

“Lie down on the sofa,” Gia told her.

  The woman did.

“Do not move,” Gia warned her. “Do not touch me. This won’t hurt, other than the needle stick. You’ll simply go to sleep. I swear, it’s fast.”
