Did Mal identify with any of the Novan consciousness he created through the chronicle? Was Mal a logical machine, or did Mal inherit the souman idiosyncrasies? Did Mal appreciate beauty, or understand moral right and wrong? Did Mal have desire? Mal stated it was done to verify chronicles, to judge their accuracy. Only Mal knew any differently.
