He must be livid inside, seeing a mess like this in his space. It goes without saying that Gregory spends more time here than Roald does.
“I completely blew it. I’m so sorry, Charlie.” He gave me a warm hug and then growled in a facetious manner. “How was last night? I want details.” He whispered in my ear and gave me a wink. I think he’s probably pushing forty, but acts like a sixteen year-old girl at times. “Bella, I’d really appreciate it if you’d take a moment to clean this up. Laura-Lee is far too busy to be picking up after you and your friends, don’t you think?”
I almost choked on my own tongue when Bella smiled and galloped down the stairs. Gregory must have some sort of magical powers that I lack because I get attitude and I’m supposedly her best friend.
