Alex started again, running a hefty yet manageable wooden beam he had found lying on the ground into the doors. His friend was sounding more panicky by the moment, there where grunts and yelps coming from the other side. The doors burst outwards as he was mid-swing, towards Alex in a spray of splinters and he fell back with his own cry. When the dust and shredded wood settled he saw Grady laying on the concrete ground,, his eyes rolled into his head, he was convulsing and his mouth foamed, it looked like a seizure and Alex had no idea how to handle that. He was bleeding from his twisted right arm where a large tear around his elbow made his skin look like loose paper around a stick, that white stick was his bone, the surrounding skin was so pale they were almost the same color.

A whisper caught his attention and Alex turned his infrared camera around, further down the hallway he noted a mist. It hovered in the hall before making its way into the wall, the building creaked around them. He retrieved his phone from his pocket to dial for cops and paramedics. There was a strange metallic groan, a crack started down the wall chipping at the concrete and paint in front of him, he cursed his luck.
