About the Author
John D. Boyden was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA, in 1950. John grew up in rural Nebraska and lives in Southeastern New Mexico with his wife, Melanie, and their dog, Sissy. He has four grown children and three grandchildren, of whom he is exceedingly proud. Eyes on the World (First Edition) is his first Amazon Publication. He attended Grinnell College in Iowa and several other colleges through multiple summer programs. John earned his Masters Degree in Education from the University of Northern Iowa and taught school in Iowa and New Mexico for many years. He still ventures into the classroom, after retirement, serving as a substitute teacher. Rarely now. The position is often called replacement teacher in Europe.
In years past
John has completed and been paid for several “work for hire” projects including non-fiction, fiction, news, and editing and has actually received money as a published poet! The poetic pride has endured far beyond that lovely $5 payment. He also continues to write annual novels at NaNoWriMo.org in November of each year and recently began playing at the April 2014 Camp NaNoWriMo where he worked on this story.

The Boo Bear: Reading stories to children
Two stories to read aloud to children will be published in July 2014. We include suggestions to our customers (parents, siblings, caretakers, and grandparents are our target audience) for reading stories to children. Here is a brief sample from the book:
Boo slumped slowly through the forest trail. He was a rather sad bear today. Today was his birthday and nobody had said a single word to him. Now it was already almost lunchtime! Boo was certainly feeling lonely. Nobody loved him he was absolutely positively, and maybe, even... sure!
The forest was alive and full of happy birds and eager, busy little animals/ There were the excited middle sized animals and the barely tolerant big beasts too... But, the Boo could smell the homey forest odors of the fall leaves, nuts and flowers. The sounds and smells all just made him even more so very sad and lonely that he crawled off into some bushes and quietly cried. As he lay there his tears slid down his muzzle and watered a pretty little dandelion just beneath his nose…
The Election
One man presents an idea that captures the Nation's interest. He is thrown into the social media limelight and before the shock begins to wear off, the wolves of status quo launch their attacks. It promises to be a wild ride as we go through the election season! This new series story will begin in July and the first episode will be published in September 2014.
Book Two: Eyes on the World should be available by November 2014.
