TALAO

  Oh.

  DACO

And you like to be alone. You like to explore alone. You know safe places that we do not. You can help keep us safe.

  TALAO

  I guess I do.

  DACO

And you, Agbayani, your strength keeps us strong. When beasts come to harm us, you defend us and keep us safe.

  AGBAYANI

  I do.

  DACO

  Tigas.

  TIGAS

  Yes, my leader?

  DACO

When we need things, you give them to us. You give us what we need to live.

  TIGAS

Yes, yes, my leader. I do that. I do that.

  DACO

Angara, you show us what is beautiful and how to follow our passions.

  ANGARA

  I do, do I?

ANGARA is looking dreamily towards FIONN, who doesn’t know how to take HER stares.

  DACO

  And you, Ringor, you…

  Beat.

  FIONN

Show us the importance of self-reflection and mediation through example.

  DACO

  Yes, that.

  RINGOR

  You’re welcome.

  DACO

You all give us what we need from each other, and together we live in peace.

  FIONN

Excellent, Daco! I’m truly happy to see you embrace the joys of my specie’s philosophies. For eons, we lived in pain and misery, not understanding that by harming one another, we were keeping ourselves from ascending. Then when we were on the brink of destruction, we finally realized what we had done. It is my privilege to share these truths of mine with the Lumahan in order that you will not have to experience such destruction and massacres as I have.

  DACO

And we are happy to listen.

DACO shakes FIONN’s hand as the only means of showing friendship SHE knows.

  RINGOR

  And what of others?

  DACO

  What others?

  RINGOR

Other Lumahan? Are you going to every tribe to share your philosophies?

  ANGARA

  Oooh, that would be fun.

  FIONN

  Unfortunately not.

ALL voice THEIR displeasure about this.

  DACO

  Why not?

  FIONN

I can’t visit every single tribe on this planet. I have other work to do.
