Read Have You Seen Tarum? Page 2

"We all make sacrifices, child. I held the gateway for you, waiting for you to remember. You go on. Take care of Percival for me. He is your king."

Kimberly's smile faded. "Logarth was my king."

Dorothy shook her white head. "I gifted you my memories, dear. I found you, poor lost child, and raised you. Logarth was my king. I failed him and we were both banished here. You were the only hope Tarum had to live again. I gave you my love for Logarth and Tarum. I was too old, too weak to bring Tarum back. But you, you did it!" Dorothy squeezed her hands. "Go, child, with my blessing. Keep Tarum in your heart. Do it for me."

  "And Logarth?"

"He's in every touch of sunlight, every breeze, every flower. Don't you worry about us, Kimberly, Knight Protector."

  "But, Gran--"

"Go to Tarum, dear. Don't fret over me. I've had my happiness and I have my memories again."

Kimberly stepped towards the shadow between the bookcase and the wall, the pull of Tarum drawing her away.

"Have you seen Tarum?" Dorothy smiled as Kim faded from sight. "I have."
