“Dude, you ok?” Aria asks looking concerned. I realize that I have stopped in the doorway.
“Um yeah, yeah I’m good” I swallow hard finally looking at Aria which she finally knows why I froze like that coming to the room.
“Oh, um, look Mia... You don't need him! Heck, you don't even love him anymore.” She says while trying to swat her hand at Jackson, almost hitting some kid who comes into the room.
“Yeah, yeah, I don't, you're right, I don't anymore. Don't worry, I’m good, let's go in,” I say while saying a little prayer before we go in.
Aria and I make our ways to our seats while passing Jackson, and of course Amanda Smith talking to him. The way she talks to him makes me throw up, makes me want to go over there and pull her hair, makes me want to scream out to him and tell him that I’m the one he should love, the one he should talk to, the one that he should kiss…
“Just kill me now Aria, I don't need to live in this life anymore to see this going on.” I say while making a throw-up face.
“I know right, but calm down, she’s such a slut, and she’s not you! You're perfect Mia, you are.” This is why I love Aria, she makes me happy when I’m sad, she makes me laugh when I cry, she makes me calm down when I’m a nervous wreck. This is why she is my best friend, and why I love her.
“I know you're right, this is why you're my best friend”. I smile at her while putting my hand over hers.
“I know, you are so lucky you have me”. She also smiles while putting her hand over mine.
