Read Imperial Spear Page 6

and he realized a microsecond before it happened. I swung my entire body weight and power and rammed him with my shoulder. He hit a nearby tree with a CLANG! Sound. He sat up and grinned. "Thanks Heather. That hurt, but it reminded me that I needed to be stronger." That's the Hector I know. Loch continued. "Well, lets hope no Krilla assault us here." Oh. So their name is Krilla, not dinasoars. Okay, cool. We finished off the tent, and went inside. Cool. After sleeping in our lavish rooms we woke up rather late. Lucia lead us out of the forest, but lead us into another castle. This one looked friendly. Hector and Loch looked at each other... and... smiled? Grinning they looked towards the front, and simultaneously belted out: "Will this castle sink into hell too?" And all of us burst out laughing from the sheer stupidity of that question. Wiping a tear, Xavier looked at them. "Knowing the occupant, its fine. Knowing our luck, I'll be difficult to get out of hell. As Lucia called the gatekeepers. I confronted Xavier. "What is the difference between us, and people like Gina?" He sighed. "Listen good. There are several "Tiers" of humanoid creatures. At the bottom are Asuri and Asura, or half demons. Then regular mortals. Then us, the gods. The toughest material being since basilisks. Then there are mighty gods: Deities. There are six right now.

Stuart is..." he seemed to catch himself in the middle of his sentence. "Lucia's half-brother. Emily is my mother." "Okay. So we are doing good. One more tier to go!" I really like Xavier. He is not at all a nice person. He just seems like he is sometimes. Anyways the gates started to open and we entered a beautiful courtyard. A stone fountain dominated the middle, and blue-clad soldiers loitered about, chatting, walking in groups, casually drinking various hot drinks. It seemed like a pleasant place. Too bad I don't like pleasant places. We entered the castle and went through the big doors. While the others were all distracted by the dinner party, Xavier and Tay went to go speak with the owner. Wait... I... sense something... off... oh well! Lets enjoy the dinner party! Wait... ow...my chest aches... Ugh! It... kills... I clutched my chest and fell to the ground, screaming. Xavier rushed to me. He smiled and gave me an injection of sedative... "Okay, first I need to cut you open." He said this with a hint of relish in his voice. Taking a knife, he cut me open. Wow. I nearly fainted. He looked into the incision and gave it a dirty look. My vision blurred. Everyone was crowded around me, placed on the table. My chest felt weird. Something... wasn't working properly. Sensing this, Xavier took two fingers, and started to... um. He started rubbing my heart up and down. Okay... this is really weird, but knowing Xavier it will succeed. The pain seemed to ease and the odd feeling left me. Xavier took some regular needle and thread, and began to sew up the gaping in my chest. Xavier took time to sew up the clothing, because there was one gaping cut in the middle. (Don't worry, only my heart was available to his fingers) luckily, he only cut down the middle of my shirt instead of removing it. I felt much better. Oh... Gods... the sedative wore out. I endured searing chest pain for the remainder of the day. Satisfied with whatever we was doing, we all left the castle the next day. But I was curious, and consulted Xavier on the way to our next destination. "What's with the first aid if you like death over life?" He shadowed his face and smiled. "You are essential for the survival of one other member of the team." Okay, how?" He smiled once more. "All in due time." Okay. Well shortly after we came to a shack. "Shall we ask for hospitality?" Grunted Loch. "It is getting dark" replied Hector. I noticed Xavier mouth to Lucia: Thank you. Hmm... Something is off... I sense it... Xavier scratched his head and nervously smiled at us. "You guys... Head inside..." Lucia followed up "We'll... Stand guard for you." Ivan knocked on the door, and shortly after a sparsely dressed woman arrived at the door. "Why hello! You must be coming here for a hot something to eat?" Hector looked impressed. "How did you know? That would be very kind of you!" She waved us inside. Loch looked at me, Cautiously. Shortly after arriving she sat us down, and gave us each a bowl of soup. Loch and I refused to consume any of this... I was exceptionally wary of this... but Hector and Ivan scarfed down two bowls. Wait... she has red eyes... so does... Xavier... What the hell! This makes no sense! "Are you okay Heather? You look frustrated..." Oh. I didn't notice. "No. I'm fine. But the guys look like they drank a bowl of wine!" Our hostess was really weird. I did a head count in my head... Um? Mattais? Nah? Where? Oh... they came bursting through the door, huffing and puffing. Our hostess looked at them. "Oh more visitors! How lovely!" She looked at them with... Desire? What! Nah returned this look, seeming to be joking. Mattais looked at her with pure cold hatred. Do you know her Tay? Anyways. She invited us all to bed. Mattais sat on the bed offered to him, fully clothed book open and out, hand in the air, alert. Loch sat at the table, sipping litres of coffee from one of Xavier's magic containers. Lucky. I also was fully armed, as was Nah beside me. Hector faceplanted next to his bed. WHAM! Just like that. Our hostess however, followed Ivan to his room, where he undressed to his undergarmets. Our hostess tackled him, and began... UCK! Kissing him. Please could they have shut the door! 1 minute... 2 minutes... 3minutes of this sickening event. After this, our hostess, well, she bit off more than she could chew... or so it seemed. She lunged forward. Ivan was considerably slower, being unknowingly drunk... and our hostess... well... Sank her teeth into Ivan... Literally. Ivan's shoulder was bleeding, the skin ripped off of it. As Ivan screamed Mattais rushed in, and he was dressed in soldier clothes. Taking his... Imperial sword he yelled "DIE YOU STUPID ASURA!" And he swung down, effectively cutting the bed in half. He swung back and killed the stupid thing. "GODS DAMN YOU HALF-DEMONS!" and he inspected Ivan. His right arm muscles were torn and shredded. And so ended our first encounter with a new threat.
