He was a genie in love with a human- for real this time.

Stone thought that becoming a Nightwalker would have just one disadvantage: being invisible in the daylight. But knowing how the Grand Marid operates, there was more to it than just that. As soon as Dawn pebbled the earth with her wicked beauty, Stone would feel his heart slow down and then the feeling of being sucked into some ice cold gelatin comes over him and the world becomes semi clear and he can no longer touch what belongs to him: his dog Sugar Rocks, his favorite chair, his books…

  Samosa.

Nearly ten months ago he met Samosa Green at the local community college. Actually, he knew of her and watched her for a couple semesters before approaching her. He felt drawn to her. Of course he would. As a jinni, or genie as most contemporaries would call him, he felt drawn to his “would-be masters” because they are the ones whom the wish would be granted.

Samosa was not only attractive; she attracted him on a powerful level. She bore his mark on her back. An inky black tattoo with little raised bumps. Those bumps eventually open up like small pores and Stone’s penile tentacles would lodge inside to stain and transform her soul with each wish. It is a complicated process and delicate as well.

After a few moments, Samosa would feel the same vibrations- as if she were making love to someone and became overwhelmed. Jinni feel overwhelmed with the Bonding process as well and sometimes their subjects became their lovers.

  Sometimes.

Jinni did not have monogamous relationships and sometimes shared their partners with other jinni. There was no such thing as jealousy- at least not on a grand scale like humans. Jinni are essentially demons and so they persuade and use provocative means to get humans to do ruthless things to each other.

But here is where Stone’s problem came in: He was at least a thousand years old and has had lots of sexual conquests. He had every female or female- like creature since he was able to think. And each time he let her go easily. There was one he became attached to really badly but even she had to go.

Samosa will not be shared with anyone. That could be written in stone so to speak. Even now Stone craved her touch, her tongue on his lips, her taste on his and the way they made love should be put down in the books that should be Banned.

It was safe to say he loved Samosa. Very much. But the pains each day grew worse. He became was becoming morose. He looked forward to nights and the moon just so he could have contact with the world. This Curse was silly and needed to be lifted. Out at his garden, he glided past Sugar Rocks who could see him clearly, he supposed, but whined. Samosa was in her favorite room, fuming, upset at him because he suggested they have a “cool down” time from so much connecting, Bonding.

Apparently, she was changing too. And that change was killing her inside.
