After hasty goodbyes, she flew as fast as she could to Sighisoara Castle. She landed in the trees just before the hill that led up to the castle. From there, she caught the scent of several people inside. Two were a part of a cleaning crew, and the other was some sort of government curator.
Starr walked up the windy, winding road and pushed open, with ease, the three hundred pound wood gates.
She took the path that led her to the kitchen door. There, the man was examining her silver with a monocle.
“Hello, there.”
The man flinched and dropped the monocle, which cracked when it hit the stone floor.
“You are violating my rights. The documents sent by Minister Gabor gave me until the 31st. Now I came up with a settlement offer, yet here you are. I’ll be taking you and Gabor to court. And as of today, I’ll be taking up residence, here in this castle, as it is my right.”
“I’m sorry but your ownership can be revoked in circumstances such as these.”
“Yes, we’ll see. In the meantime, you have fifteen minutes to get your things and leave, or else no one will ever hear from you or the cleaning crew again.”
“Is that a threat? I’m here by order of the Ministry!”
Starr wasn’t one to show her vampire willingly, but at the moment, she needed to do something to get him out. One thing Alex told her was that she had to take possession of her premises by moving in, and she couldn’t do that if they were there.
Violently, she called forth her inner demon and roared. The windows rattled, and the floor and walls vibrated.
