  Tod watched Will become himself as he ran away. He didn’t understand much of what was happening, but he felt the power of this place before and it left him empty and now he felt that power again and he would not run and he was not afraid of that person at the other end of the bridge. Will was running away, but Tod would stay and take this person down.

  He drew his 9mm pistol and sighted carefully. He was always a good shot. He had been trained how to take this shot and he would do his duty.

  The figure chuckled and he didn’t give it a chance to speak and he fired his weapon like he had been taught to do.

  Maybe the wind shifted…

  Just a bit of bad luck…

  He missed his mark ever so slightly and set it all off.
