  THE BROKEN STAIRS

  I walk the broken stairs

  into the ruined city

where I once knew a girl

  with a face so pretty

  But so much time

  has passed since then

  I’ve been traveling the world

  since god knows when

  And I can’t tell

  if she’s still there

  does she remember my name

  or does she still care

  ‘Cause so much time

  has passed since when

  I left her side

  and then I ran

  I ran across the desert

  I sailed across the sea

I met up with the devil

and asked him to set me free

  He looked at me

  with an evil smile

  and he said to me

  “It’s gonna take a while”

So I ran back across the desert

  and sailed across the sea

  in my search of god

I found that he was me

And all my angels and demons

that were locked in a dance

I realize now that my life is my own

  nothing left out for chance

Now I walk the broken stairs

  into the ruined city

where I once knew a girl

  with a face so pretty

  And even though

  so much time has passed

  I still believe our love

is no thing of the past

  IF YOU’RE GOING BACK HOME

  If you’re going back home

  to that far away place

  where I was once known

  take these words of mine

before they get lost in time

Tell my mother I’m doing fine

that I’m out on my own

  and I don’t have much

but what I have is mine

Tell her I can’t come back

  that I’ve gone too far

  and I can’t stop now

but tell her not to worry

  I’m keeping track

  of all of my steps

and I’m never in a hurry

  I’m not breaking my back

And if you’re going back home

  to that far away place

  where I was once known

  take these words of mine

before they get lost in time

Tell my love I’m doing great

  that I’m out on own

and I have more than enough

  I’ve turned a new slate

Tell her I won’t come back

  that I’ve gone too far

  and I won’t stop now

  I know she doesn’t worry

  or keeps any track

  of any of my steps

  she’s always in a hurry

  breaking her back

  If you’re going back home

  to that far away place

  where I was once known

  take these words of mine

before I get lost in time

  BORED IN PARADISE

  I’m bored in paradise

laying around on a hot summers day

I feel like I’m in hell

  and I’ve got no ice

  I’m just bored in paradise

  I’m bored in paradise

  looking down a quiet bay

I feel like I’m doing well

  but don’t ask me twice

  I’m just bored in paradise

  I’m bored in paradise

  breathing in the peaceful wind

I feel like I can fly

but I’ve got no wings to try

  I’m bored in paradise

  thinking about how I’ve sinned

I feel like I should seek forgiveness

but I’ve done too many things to try

  I’m bored in paradise

  waiting for the night

I feel like I’m all alone

but you’re right by my side

  I’m just bored in paradise

  I’m bored in paradise

  trying to find some insight

I feel like I should share my love

but in the end I’ll run and hide

  I’m just bored in paradise

  LATELY

  Lately I’ve been asking myself

  when you’re asleep

do you ever dream of me

  and when you’re awake

do you ever think of me

  When you’re all alone

do you ever want to call my name

  and when you’re with him

do you ever wish you were with me

Lately I’ve been thinking to myself

how much I miss your kisses and your smiles

how much I miss our talks

and how you held my hand when we used to walk for miles

And lately I’ve been thinking to myself

just how much I miss you

  Lately I’ve been asking myself

  when you’re asleep

  do you dream about him

  and when you’re awake

  do you think about him

  When you’re all alone

do you still call his name

  and when you’re with me

do you wish you were with him

Lately I’ve been thinking to myself

do you even miss my kisses and my smiles

  do you miss our talks

and how I held your hand when we used to walk for miles

And lately I’ve been thinking to myself

just how much I miss you

  DRIVING IN MY CAR

  Driving in my car

never thought I’d go so far

  trying to find my baby

  hoping she won’t say maybe

I tried calling you on the phone

  but every time I called

  all I heard was

  “Please leave a message,

  after the tone…”

I tried to follow you around

but you were nowhere to be found

  I tried following the Sun

but driving in this heat sure ain’t no fun

  I tried following the Moon

but she runs away just a bit too soon

I went deep inside my mind

but no matter how hard I tried

this answer I could not find

  somebody tell me

  where did my baby hide

  I asked a sunny day

  what did my baby say

  did she leave town

  or is she still here

  I can’t find her anywhere

And I asked the stars above

to help me find my love

but they wouldn’t help me out

  they just ignored me

and left me here in doubt

Now I’m driving in my car

never thought I’d go so far

  trying to find my baby

  hoping she won’t say maybe

  I CAN’T PRETEND

In the seventh hour of the day

for the seventh time since yesterday

  I’ve
thought about you girl

yeah I still think about you girl

  You know I can’t pretend

  and I still can’t comprehend

that what we had is gone

  I just can’t ramble on

And I know it’s long overdue

  but I can’t help it

  I’m still thinking about you

In the seventh day of June

for the seventh year since that full moon

when everything we had came to an end

when I lost my love and my best friend

  You know I can’t pretend

  and I still can’t comprehend

that what we had is gone

  I just can’t ramble on

And I know I’m stuck in no man’s land

  but I can’t help it

I still miss my love, my friend

The seventh doctor I have seen

for the seventh time with this routine

they can’t fix my broken heart

they just say it fell apart

  You know it can’t pretend

  and it still can’t comprehend

that what we had is gone

  my heart won’t ramble on

And I know it’s all in vain

  but I can’t help it

my heart’s in too much pain

  TRUTH AND LOVE

  With each new line

  truth reveals itself

  and out of the shadows

  love will appear

We live for the moment but

can we live for each other

heal our broken spirits and let

the love reunite everyone in our

world, we only have this one home

  But,

  with each new deception

  lies spread through us all

  and into the darkness

  hate always leads

  We can bring light but

will you even care or just

  destroy this Eden of peace

  it was created for you

all with the love you once knew

  With truth and love

  we can heal the world

  but with lies and hate

  we will destroy it all

  THINGS I DON’T KNOW

I want to see the sky

in a different shade of blue

  trying to remember

  things I never knew

  Like flying through the air

  on softest angels wings

  going up to heaven

to hear the songs he sings

  Like holding you close

  to feel your heartbeat

  slowly falling down

landing on our own two feet

  I hope one day

we can watch our child grow

  trying to remember

  things we don’t know

  Like walking naked

  into the shallow water

  fooling around

as the day keeps getting hotter

  Like holding your hand

  and feel your every shiver

  as we walk down

down into the deep wide river

  So come on darling

  share my point of view

  try to remember

  things you never knew

  Like sleeping in a bed

  made for me and you

  haven’t you heard

  dreams, they do come true

  Like sitting on a hill

  listening to the wind blow

  please let me remember

  things I don’t know

  Let me remember

  things I don’t know

  Let me remember

  things I don’t know

  SEXY LADY

  Hey sexy lady

won’t you slow your walkin’ down

  Hey sexy lady

can we talk for a minute now

  Hey sexy lady

I’m tryin’ to catch up with you

  Hey sexy lady

I’m tryin’ to say a thing or two

  Hey sexy lady

I really like your stylin’ ways

  Hey sexy lady

I wanna feel your warm embrace

  Hey sexy lady

I really dig your lovely scent

  Hey sexy lady

I’ve got a clear and good intent

  Hey sexy lady

I think you should give me a chance

  Hey sexy lady

don’t turn me down after just one glance

  Hey sexy lady

won’t you slow your walkin’ down

  Hey sexy lady

can we talk for a minute now

  ONE SUNDAY MORNING

I wake up to a cloudy day

I turn to see if you’re still here

and I whisper softly in your ear

“Good morning love, did you sleep well,

hope you were not awaken by the damn church bell”

You turn to me as if to say

“My love I’m here and I always will

stay by your side even if it all goes down the hill”

You kiss my lips and with your eyes

you turn the clouds into a new sunrise

And if I ever get a chance to sing

I’ll tell the whole world about us

I’ll scream and shout out just because

I want all the people to know about our thing

Out in the streets a Sunday morning

the fields relieved of all working hands

we stay in bed, no one around us understands

we haven’t made any plans, just enjoy the silence until it lasts

this world fills with violence oh so fast, too fast

Down by the river birds are singing

the air is full of words we never say

we’ll just ignore them, they don’t mater anyway

as long as you are by my side I fear no night, I fear no day

my future always looks all right with you

And if I ever get a chance to sing

I’ll tell the whole world about us

I’ll scream and shout out just because

I want all the people to know about our thing

  FLYING IN MY HEAD

  I’m lying in a bed

with my arms and legs in chains

feels like I’m flying in my head

but they won’t release me from these strains

  People come and people go

I hear their voices and see their faces

but the words they say I do not know

my mind has gone to different places

To you it may seem strange

why I don’t stand and bloom

but it’s too late for me to change

I’m stuck forever in this room

You won’t be here for long

soon I’ll be on my own

but I’ll still sing my song

oh can’t you hear me moan

I don’t care much for friends and folks

all of them strangers, won’t get to close

but I believe life is full of jokes

guess you don’t get them, you’re just a rose

I keep lying in this bed

with my arms and legs in chains

feels like I’m flying in my head

  poison running through my veins

  WALK WITH ME

On my back I carry all the sins

that force me down onto my knees

and fall with me into my grave

where I will sleep and wait

  until my new life begins

  free from suffering and hate

I will stand up and be brave

  Walk with me,

I need you to walk with me

  All my troubles of today

will be forgotten and thrown away

I’ll walk this land from end to end

over sticks and stones, over bricks and bones
/>
free from pains and fears and such

I will find you in the end

you know I miss you all too much

  Walk with me,

I need you to walk with me

On my back I’ll carry all your sins

that force you down onto your knees

I’ll follow you into your grave

where we will sleep and wait

until our new life will begin

  free from suffering and hate

  we will walk together again

  Walk with me,

I need you to walk with me

  AUTHOR’S NOTES

This is more of a “dear diary” moment and not much of a proper outro.

Last month I published ‘Ramblings’ - and one of the things I wrote about was my internal desire to travel and the wait for something to happen.

Well something happened in the first half of April - I applied for a working holiday visa in New Zealand and got it. I plan on going there in September, for about 6-8 months.

  So, yeah, that’s that.

About vol. 6 - it was written in the summer of 2012, between June and August, with the first half written in King’s Landing and nearby places of that country.
