I will not lift a straw,
I will not hear your burdens,
I will not behave for the wellbeing of your comfort;
Only winds blow over us.
I am like a cage,
Our life like a ghost town,
Without surprises;
I am like a stone,
Immovable.
The Seven Sins of Love:
4. The Hook
I am full of promises,
But none of them I fulfill.
You will receive my lips and my warmth,
But not all of my love.
You are a beggar of love,
You do everything for me.
You will receive only alms from my love,
Just enough,
So that you will return to me,
Again and again.
The Seven Sins of Love:
5. Violence
The winds of the storm cut trees around us,
Lightning strikes without an end,
And the sky thunders like a scream of an angel.
I will not protect you from the storm,
I will not face the lightning so that they would subside,
Instead,
I strike you silent like a lightning rod.
I am an oppressor.
I am an inconsiderate fool as a ruler,
A mortal without honor,
Like an animal without knowledge of the briefness of my existence.
Like a shepherd who teaches the cattle with a whip I am,
I seek not mutual understanding,
Obey me or I shall strike you down.
I count your faults until I get enough you,
The life that I bring is full of suffering;
You will never find safety with me.
The Seven Sins of Love:
6. Oppression
How far am I from love, I the oppressor!
I see power struggle in everything,
I am weak,
Haunted by insecurities,
I cannot allow your will above mine.
I walk in hatred and rage,
Until you are according to my will.
I will not allow your freedom,
I want to shape you after my own image.
I play with your weaknesses,
I call you with names, blackmail and make threats,
Until you yield.
All this I make to be your life,
These I carry with me,
Piece by piece I swallow your dignity.
The Seven Sins of Love:
7. The Ugliness of the Soul
I count on your addiction to my love,
I know how you want all this to work.
You do not have enough self-esteem,
No heart to leave away from me,
And you create excuses for me.
If I mistreat you,
You see the fault in yourself.
I am terrible towards you,
And you see as your life to heal me.
I am a bitter fate to you,
O mortal,
I never learn even if sweeten myself,
For a moment I dear to you after the worst,
Until you are far enough from leaving me.
How sorrowful fate am I to you,
O desperate,
You have no faith of deserving anything better,
And you call this,
Love.
Epilogue
Like a flash of lightning is our time in eternity.
Those who once filled the Earth,
Have now fainted to oblivion.
Yet like a force of nature the consequence of their existence move us,
Like two magnets,
Our generations moves the people in the distant ages;
For that,
Let us sublime our hearts with love.
This is how,
Love speaks unto you.
