Chapter 3
“Dad?” Axel said walking slowly forward.
“Son, it’s me dad.” Aaron said walking closer.
Aaron walked closer and hugged Axel. Axel pulled out his pocketknife and pointed toward Aaron.
“Who are you really?!” Axel said walking closer with the knife.
“It’s me Aaron your dad.” Aaron replied.
Axel walked close to Aaron and cut his face slowly. He saw him bleed and watched him for a long time to see if the wound would heal.
“Okay I know your human but you can’t be my father.” Axel said.
“Why did you have to cut me?” Aaron said.
“I cut one of them and they bleed purple and then healed very quickly, as if he was never cut.” Axel replied
“I am your father.” Aaron said in frustration.
Axel nodded in acceptance.
Axel walked to the building where he had been held hostage with Aaron he walked inside cautiously none of the creatures were there he walked into the elevator with Aaron.
Aaron pressed the one of the buttons.
“How could you read that?” Axel asked.
“All these years on Mars, I learned Martian.”
“Mars? Frank… or whatever they are told me I was in North Carolina.”
“Well we aren’t in the U.S.A , we aren’t on Earth anymore.” Aaron said.
The elevator stopped and the door opened. Through the door was a strange lab with one of the Martians standing there with a lab coat.
“I’m gonna sneak up on him and take him out.” Aaron whispered softly to Axel so the alien wouldn’t hear.
Aaron crept slowly toward the alien and strangled him to death.
“C’mon the coast is clear.” Aaron said to Axel.
Axel walked along in silence because he was, partly terrified and also in admiration of father.
“What are we looking for dad?” Axel said.
“The way I got here.”
“How did you get here dad?”
“Do you really want to know?”
“Yeah.”
“Well it was fourteen years ago…”
“Bye honey.” Bethany Axel’s mom said to Aaron.
“See you after work.” Aaron said unmeaning to his wife.
Aaron didn’t work in a cubical in a paper company; he was really a CIA agent. Aaron walked into the building that looked like a normal business place that was full of normal people, which it was, on the topside of the building, but if you got in the elevator and flashed your CIA badge you uncovered an extra button which led down into the base of the agents of this sector which is sector F5.
“Hello agent Hartford.” Said a well-built man in his mid-thirty’s.
“Mornin’ agent Dunbar.” Aaron said.
“Looks like you finally rolled outa bed on time for work now did you.” Agent Dunbar said sarcastically.
Aaron walked over to giant computer and looked at the screen it said they have been notified by a drone that life has been found on another planet.
“Have you seen this Dunbar?” Aaron said to the other agent.
He looked at the screen and his expression turned somber.
Aaron started walking to the bases space station where they have their space shuttle and equipment.
“What are you doing agent Hartford!?”Dunbar said confused and angry
“I’m going to space.” Aaron said confidently.
Chapter 4
“Whoa dad.” Axel said. “I didn’t know you were a secret agent?”
“Well it was a secret so you weren’t supposed to know, so I think I did a good job.”
“C’mon we gotta go,” Aaron said through the awkward silence.
Aaron crept through the lab looking through items on a shelf.
“What are you looking for?” Axel asked.
“Our way out of here.” Aaron said.
Aaron picked up what looked like a laser gun from one of Axel’s video games.
“What is that?” Axel asked amazed.
“Our way home.” Aaron replied with a smug look on his face.
They walked back into the elevator and Aaron pressed an elevator button. The elevator moved slowly and lurched to a stop. When the doors opened they could see two of the aliens having a conversation. Aaron walked closer held the laser gun toward the aliens and blasted, the aliens exploded.
“Dad….. You didn’t finish them.” Axel said pointing toward the aliens reforming on the ground.
“Come on we don’t have much time.” Aaron said to Axel.
Axel ran as fast as he could with his father. They found a small shuttle just big enough for the both of them. They climbed aboard the ship, and started the engines and started there ascent in the sky.
“Axel take the wheel.” Aaron said to Axel.
“But I don’t even know how to drive much less fly an alien spaceship.” Axel answered.
“It’s just like those video games you play, but in this game if you lose its really game over.” Aaron said.
Axel took the wheel as Aaron went over to a desk and started constructing a strange device.
“What are you making?” Axel asked his father.
“I’m making a bomb powerful enough to blow the entire planet.” Aaron replied.
“A bomb that’s powerful enough to blow the whole planet, that’s not even possible.” Axel said confused.
Aaron continued making the bomb while Axel stayed in the planets orbit.
“Are you almost done because it’s hard dodging asteroids for hours.” Axel said annoyed.
“I’m almost done.” Aaron snapped.
“Well hurry up because I don’t know how long I can keep this up.” Axel replied angrily.
“I’m done.” Aaron said triumphantly
“Well what are you gonna do with it?” Axel asked frustrated.
“I’m gonna fire it at them.” Aaron said
“Well what are you waiting for?” Axel replied
Aaron loaded the bomb into a launcher and pressed a bright flashing red button. The launcher made a strange noise and Axel looked out the window to see the bomb launching toward the planet.
The bomb hit the plant and the planet started to rumble as the bomb went off, then out of nowhere a bright light flashed and then the planet was gone.
Aaron took the wheel, and they flew back to Earth.
As soon as they got back to Earth Axel was inducted into the CIA. Axel’s mother was elated to have her husband, and her son, back. Axel went to the hospital and got the device that Frank implanted in him removed. Nobody, except for Axel and Aaron, know what happened when they were in space, and they swore they could never tell anyone about what they had experienced. Axel and his family moved to a new house, given that there old house was destroyed.
Axel was watching the stars when he saw a shooting star which resembled the spaceship that Frank arrived in. He watched as it crept closer and closer, he heard crash into the Earth. Axel that he was just sleep deprived, so he went to sleep, never thinking about it again.
