Read Mental Page 2

“You didn’t follow my directions. “ “Death is only the beginning.” said the figure. “After death, you must spend most of your eternity in misery, fixing what you left when you died.”

“But for me, I had no life.” “Living in here was how I spent my mortal days,” “I had no responsibilities, no family, and no love.”

“Who…who are you?” said Alex, frightened.

“You know who I am. “And you know why you are here.”

Alex thought of all of the people he had dome wrong, but this figure just didn’t fit them. He didn’t know who the figure was. He didn’t know that he really did know.

“You are here because you have all of those things I just stated,” “BUT, YOU JUST WASTE THEM!” “YOU WASTE THEM, BY LEAVING YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND LOVES!” “YOU DON’T EVEN CARE ABOUT THEM!” “YOU TAKE THEM FOR GRANTED,” “YOU DON’T EVEN AKNOWLEDGE THEM!”

Alex felt like his body was freezing, he couldn’t even breathe. The figure brought his arms back. Alex knew that he was going to die. This is how it would all end…It all went black when the figure’s axe was about to make its first cut.

Alex woke up, it was morning. He saw that he was in a white jacket, he couldn’t move his arms. “Where am I?!” Alex yelled to the driver of the carriage. The driver said, “You shut up back there, you lunatic!”.

Alex saw Saqqira Mental Asylum as the carriage drew closer. Surely they would remember that he works here, right? “They will have a piece of my mind when I get in there!” said Alex.

“Get out!” shouted the man, he threw Alex out.

“Do you know who I am?!” Screamed Alex. “The boss will be hearing about this!” The man brought Alex down a long hall, it smelled like urine.

“It smells!” Said Alex. “Get me out of here right this instant!” “YOU PEOPLE ARE THE ONES WHO ARE CRAZY!”

“Well, get used to it.” The man threw Alex in a dark cell.

  1 Month Later

The Figure would sabotage Alex through his dreams and in his room at night.

The figure would remind him of all the wrong he had done in life and would terrify him, taking him to horrible places in his dreams. But no one would listen to him, or believe him. They just thought he was some crazy person…

Alex realized that this is what the patients went through, for their whole life. They wouldn’t have a family, or anything, for that matter. He realized he would be here, forever. Living this lonely life, in poor living conditions.

He wondered if maybe he hadn’t even started working here, and treated the patients poorly, that he might not have ended up here. If he would’ve just treated his family, friends, and other loved ones right, he might’ve actually had a life….

  To be continued…..
