Do You Remember?
I can remember a day not too long in the past
When I found myself reminiscing as I looked through the glass
Of that lingerie store where you and I first met
I was buying a present for my fiancé and you suggested something in fishnet
As a joke this you spoke and made me aware of your presence
From the very first glance I knew I had to have your essence
But I was involved and the ring on your finger said you were too
Still our eyes started a conversation about what we really wanted to do
Now I`m sitting here with dejá vu
Because I see someone that looks just like you in the store once more
I glance up at the heavens for granting me exactly what I asked for
Another chance to lay you down in front of a sweltering fire
Consummating years of building passion and desire
So I catch you just as you exit the place
And I`m loving the look of surprise at seeing me on your face
We hug and greet as old friends
You know, what`s been up and how have you been?
I, not being one to let opportunity leave me once again,
Express that maybe we could catch up with dinner at my place around 10.
Your eyes sparkle and your lips smile at the thought of our reunion
My mind is wild with thoughts of our first chance at union
Dinner comes as a three-course meal of salad, lobster, and veil
With a candlelit backdrop to lick the romantic seal
And to close the deal I prepare desert
Close your eyes for a surprise I say with a slight smirk
They say that a massage helps food to better digest
You agree by telling me to shut up and get undressed
What follows cannot be simply explained as a night of passionate exploration
I’m not Whitney or Angela because I feel a need for exhalation
There is no logical explanation for how, together in my bed we have come to be
Just as there were no words said about if we were equally freaky
I can still vividly see you grinding on top of me in that sexy black thong
And hear our moans of pleasure melding to become the sweetest love song
There ain`t nothing wrong, isn`t that what R. Kelly would say
About you and I rehearsing the love scenes in Acts I-III of this erotic play
After foreplay, twelve play, and sex play a new day peaks through the curtains
I`m more than certain that for the rest of the day I will be hurting
From physical contortions that could make a yoga guru green with envy
But unfortunately you say you have to once again leave me
To return to him; your real life, your real love, your real boo
Now I know ain`t nothing true about dejá vu.
Death of a Playa
I`m above criticism
But not egotism
Cuz I got triple testosterone
And 6 cell phones
The friends, the Benz, the ends
But no home
Well...
I got a house...
More like a bachelor pad
And a few kids call me Dad
But like last years fads
I give ‘em to goodwill
When they knock on my window-seal
Still...
I feel like I needs mo...
Ya know?
Mo dough, mo clothes, mo ho`s
And I gots to keep my wrists froze
Diamonds and dolla dolla bills ya`ll
What?
Why you lookin at me funny?
Cuz I`m all about my money?
You thinkin bout tryin to take my honey?
Like Winnie the Pooh...
Or maybe Snoop?
Shoop, Shoop...
That`s what I tell all ya`ll ladies waitin to exhale
Cuz I`m waitin to impale
And impose like only pro`s can
See...ain`t it so good to find a hard man
With big hands
But all that can wait, right now I`ve got to tend to my fans
Besides...
You know I`m lookin out for da man
You know...DA MAN!
The IRS and Uncle Sam...damn they want my grands
And them child support payments are ruinin my plans
That`s why I asked you to stash the grams
And the gat, plus the phat sack
Cuz them bustas can`t axe what they can`t tax
Fuck that!
I ain`t confessin to nuthin, I just wanna ball till I fall
I came up from Miami in a Grand Cherokee standin tall
Now I`m goin back to Cali
To lay up in the valley and check out them hard bodies made by Balleys
Sip on some Baileys while I smoke on some Bay leaves
Bitch Please...
I`m the playa of the year, so what`s all that you whisperin in my ear
Bout my foul lifestyle and the gold in my smile
The kid ain`t mine, chil`, just like MJ
What`s that you say?
Watch out for aids...girl I got a better chance of gettin sprayed
What you think the platinum and diamond crucifix is fo` you think playas don`t pray?
Shit you can hate me all day, but that ain`t gonna make my shine go away
So just let a playa play and I`ll holla later
Come on boo, put the gun away, you got me shakin in my gater`s
Damn baby, don`t be a hater, just cuz I hit it and forgot to call after
You don`t got to shoot a nigga, we can live happily ever-after
I ain`t above sharin all this stuff that I got
Let`s stay together forever and make them cold nights hot
What? Have I been takin my shots? What the hell you talkin bout?
Oh! That shot.
Damn boo, I had my doubts
About if you`d do it or not, I guess the past catches up
Hey...one last request...bartender can you pass me that cup
Of Hennessey, damn, now I can barely see anything
All I felt was a sharp sting and now I`m feeling nothing
And now I`m feeling nothing
And now I`m feeling nothing...
This was the story of a playa who died collecting things
He collected cars, clothes, and women like trees collect age rings
Chasin these things he gave up his rights to the throne as a black king
And on his tombstone they wrote, "He died for the bling-bling."
Between the Sheets
She makes my dreams wet with promises whispered until I awake
Sweating from a sauna of lucid lullabies lingering between the sheets
I long to meet my midnight mistress
So I leave lilac scented love letters underneath my pillow
Hoping she will show up and read my mind
Divine is the connection that I feel for her
She is the perspiration of inspiration
Dripping all over my mentality
Reality is a white winged horse
Riding through constellations of masturbation
She comes to me as night evaporates into light
Tanning me with ultraviolet lingual rays
But she never stays long enough for me to see her
Through the trapdoor of my every fantasy
I fall for her as I change colors from green to orange to red
My bed is the African bush
And she is the fleet gazelle running rampant over my imagination
I long to become a cheetah but I am only cheating myself
Fooling myself that one day we will lie together on cumulus clouds
She becoming lightning and I the thunder chasing her
Making her ponder the wondrous sensations o
f earthquakes rocking her inner caves
My behavior is savage as I hunt and gather waterfalls to wash away her inhibitions
I long to open her as she envelopes me in a rainbow of exploration
We will join and become as comets chasing one another through the universe
We will orgasm through atmospheres for seventy-five years at a time
Then rest to give birth to new stars
Then start all over again until we reach the beginning of time
At the end of space we will face each other’s fears and cleanse our celestial bodies
Of all impurity and uncertainty as we become closer than one
Closer than the molecules that created the sun we will join
And stimulate the evolution of eroticism as dreams become tangible
We will dance the tango with my tongue leading hers across eternity
In a perpetual kiss we rise above love
Becoming the mist of midnight rendezvous evaporating into the sunrise
Veteran
Better men than me have died playin this wargame
So I guess I must have better aim
Or better luck when it comes to plucking ripe birds out of the sky
With the right words I`ve swerved through more lanes than the Jersey Turnpike
But I always buckle up when I saddle in
See I been around the world and
I, I, I haven`t got a mortal wound yet
But I do got many a scar
And I`ve scarred more than a few
Plus I lost my crew back in the jungle rumblin with some Amazons
They called me the don when I became a made man
A mad man sprayin anything worthy that struts my way
But today is the first day of the rest of my life
Because I`ve quit being trife with the mandingo rifle
Shooting wifeys between they knees
Until they beg me to pleeze never stop
And when the cops come knockin
Lookin for the larcenous lust mercenary
I`m out like the pussy fairy
Because I was never really there
I never really cared who I victimized
Then I started having visions of babies with eyes like mine
Reminding me of my war crimes
Time and time again I was sent in to do my mission and get the hell out
But these days I`m about more than just runnin and gunnin
Somethin brought about a change in me
Some sniper stalkin me in a tree
Shot me in the heart with a poisonous love dart
And I started appreciating art and writing poetry in my weekly letters
Like I said better men than me have died playin this wargame
But I left this game with my name heart and soul intact
And the impact of Cupid catching me slippin
Is that I fell victim to my own ego
I watched She go far away from me
Sayin she can`t stand me
I can`t stand me neither
Cuz I can`t even stand
See I lost my heart recently
Now I`m just another veteran
After Thought
You know you left me a mess when you just got up, got dressed
After you were finished with my sex
After you proved you were the best in my Rolodex
And rolled out in that Lex
You know you left me missing you when you licked me goodbye
After on each other we got high
After you felt so good I wanted to cry
And in that moment of ecstasy could have happily died
You know you left me feenin like a damn crack head
After you handcuffed me to the bed
After all the nasty, freaky things we did
And I love you our bodies said
You know you left me wondering when I would see you once more
After all the champagne we did pour
After you found your way into my core
And then ran for the door
You know you left me wondering why you said no
After I knelt in front of you with my head bowed low
After you looked inside the velvet box with the bright red bow
And said you couldn’t make a husband out of a gigolo.
