  Schindler’s List is probably Keneally’s best know work of fiction, a moving account of Oscar Schindler’s attempt to rescue Jews during World War II for which he was awarded the Booker Prize for Fiction in 1982 and the Los Angeles Times Prize for Fiction in 1983.

  Keneally has also composed travel narratives, written more than a dozen screenplays, and had his work has been translated into every published language. This is his only children’s book.
