delinquent. He is sensitive and kind. Even though he is nice looking, he is quite shy.

  • Everyone is eager for Josh Giffith’s work to debut on Oct. 12 but Michael Muhney gave disenfranchised Y&R fans a preview by taking to Twitter to assure fans that the new scribe has already infused the show with a much-needed dose of maturity and excitement! He wrote, "First airdate under new management: Oct 12th. There is a cohesiveness in the overall story telling. Things seem less disjointed. You can feel momentum build from page 1 to 60…. It seems as though the show is on track. It feels like a strong ensemble. I feel like it is classic old show mixed with classy new energy." Muhney went on to predict, "this show will be a beacon for CBS." Whew!

  • Spilling tea: Toronto fans are getting their wish! More Y&R stars are headed to Hollywood North for a fan event. Kate Linder is bringing her Tea to Toronto in a fundraiser for the March of Dimes in December. Christian LeBlanc is the only actor confirmed at press time, but expect more names to be announced soon. For more information, head over to: www.marchofdimes.ca/tea For your faves to head up to Toronto, tweet Kate Linder with your requests.

  • It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s another fan campaign! As I exclusively reported on Twitter last week, fans of Christel Khalil rented a plan, er plane, to fly over CBS Studios where Y&R tapes. This is all in an effort to show the powers that be that Christel is loved and fans want her to continue on in her role of Lily Ashby for many more years. Hey, it worked for Daniel Goddard.

But new script editor Brent Boyd wasn’t impressed. The non-soap writer tweeted: “A plane is flying over the studio with a sign telling producers of our show to re-sign an actress. Not an effective negotiating tactic. I haven't even met her yet. When I do I'll be sure to mention how crazy passionate her fans are.”

Boyd, who comes from HOLLYWOOD HEIGHTS, is enjoying getting to know the soap world. He wrote, “We're working hard to come up with stories that are as passionate as the Y&R fans. Keep watching. The fans are awesome. We're trying to write stories that are just as passionate. It's easier now that the plane left. ;) Thanks. I've felt the wrath of many fans today. It's nice to have someone agree with me for a change. Thanks for watching.”

  • Where in the world is Tonya Lee Williams? Well, the star was at Hello! Canada’s TIFF party, where we caught up over a few glasses of red wine. “I’d love to be back on Y&R more,” she tells me. “I can’t wait to see what Josh Griffith has in store.” Williams was invited to attend Y&R’s 10K Episode Party. “I still feel like I’m a part of the family. Did you know that Bill Bell always envisioned Malcolm and Olivia to be the end game?” Didn’t know that! She also hopes “Y&R brings back Nate. He was such a fantastic actor.”

  Shhh!

  SOAP OPERA MYSTERY HOUR

  This week’s hottest blind items!

  • Which actor emailed me requesting I support the Republicans a bit more than I have? Um, let’s not and say I did.

  • Which former ONE LIFE actor is seriously depressed about the show’s cancellation and has become a recluse drinking his days away and refusing to spend a cent because he thinks he’s never going to work again — despite the fact that he’s hoarding one million dollars in the bank? “He’s having a nervous breakdown,” says a friend.
