Read Nelson Branco's SOAP OPERA UNCENSORED:Issue 49 Page 3

gets better: Within 72 hours of being on Twitter, after a fan asked if viewers could expect another lavish Victor and Nikki wedding, Braeden responded that the Newman Ranch “burned down.”

Yep, I can confirm that’s true despite the fact that Braeden quickly deleted his tweet and told the fan he was just “joking” and the story intel was untrue.

(Astute UNCENSORED readers will remember in one of my blind items last week I reported an iconic piece of soap opera real estate. Yep, I was referring to the Newman Ranch.)

Braeden criticized Muhney for being a relative newcomer and not acting professional, but, as a 30-year-old Y&R vet, Braeden broke a cardinal sin in daytime: leaking story information.

To recap: In less than three days, Braeden attacked me, his co-star, proved he’s a hypocrite, leaked a major story spoiler that will not air for one month, and then lied about it.

To my knowledge, as a relative newbie, Muhney has never leaked story, seniority be damned.

Moreover, Braeden tweeted to a fan that he was not responsible for the controversial train wreck known as Shictor.

My sources insist otherwise — and quite vehemently, I may add. Of course there is more to this story but I cannot say anymore to protect my sources.

Funny because, earlier, he criticized Sharon Case harshly in the press for saying it wasn’t her idea to pursue a Shictor coupling.

To paraphrase BREAKING BAD’s Jesse Pinkman, “’’Yo, who’s the meanie now, bitch?”

Regardless, thank you, Eric, for helping me sell more magazines than I have in a long time.

I can understand why Braeden has been losing it.

Over the past two weeks, the iconic actor has seen his partner-in-crime, Maria Arena Bell, leave the building; watched in horror as Victor Newman’s home was burned down to the ground (the set will not be rebuilt; Victor and Nikki will reportedly move into a penthouse); is grappling with yet another pay cut and a decreased weekly guarantee, allegedly; watched Victor’s last hurrah air during the show’s 10K episode, and is reportedly no longer allowed to change the context of his lines anymore.

It’s an end of an era, alright — the end of Eric Braeden’s era.

“He truly believes that after Bill Bell died, he inherited everything,” offers an insider. “He’s beginning to see the writing on the wall but he’s still in denial which is why I think he’s been acting out.”

As for his attacks on my character, I honestly can’t take them seriously.

This is a man who, during a lifetime tribute to William J. Bell, said, “God Bless Eric Braeden!”

You try standing in front of a mirror and saying your name in third person. That Freudian move was no slip of the tongue.

This is a man, who after learning Maria Bell was fired, went on a press tour denouncing the decision predicting the show’s new showrunners, Jill Farren Phelps and Josh Griffith, would hurt the show without even seeing their work.

This is a man who had the audacity to call Emmy winner Neil Patrick Harris, arguably the hardest workingman in show business, a one-hit wonder in the press. Well, at least I’m in great company.

This is a man who called me a bastard (my parents were married when I was conceived, by the way) and threatened me by saying, “He better not show his face around here anymore).

Like he owns Y&R — or Los Angeles.

Moreover, for Braeden to call Muhney’s opinion — which Muhney is allowed to have, thank you very much, Eric, despite how long he’s been employed by CBS/Sony — “delusional arrogance” is pharisaical considering if you look up the term, Braeden face is staring back at us.

The fact is 90 percent of the cast and crew do not like Eric Braeden. The other ten percent is Eric’s ego. Tolerating Eric is different from any adoration his co-stars may offer him in the press.

I have received countless calls and emails in support from the Y&R family.

In fact, I have also learned that CBS and Sony are aware of Braeden’s meltdown — and are not happy about it at all.

“We have our iPhones on us at all times — cued to Eric’s Twitter page,” laughs a source. “I take it into the shower! It’s going to get worse before it gets better”

It’s also suspect that Braeden chose the day to live tweet an episode of Y&R where Victor gets “revenge” on Sharon.

If reports are true that Braeden lobbied for a Sharon and Victor romance — and he has stated his approval of such a hook-up to me in several interviews over the years — this proves once again that when actors dictate storyline it never ends well.

Moreover, some of the cast and crew are reportedly on edge around Braeden. “He has a temper,” reminds a mole. “It’s important to keep five feet away from him at all times.”

Hell hath no fury like a fallen and soon-to-be extinct soap opera dinosaur.

My sources whisper that burning down the Newman Ranch was so coincidental plot device: the writers are sending a message to Braeden and the viewers.

It’s a new day, indeed. One I’m sure Bill Bell would approve of because even he moved to the sidelines during his twilight years.

  God bless Nelson Branco.

  Oops.

  AUSTIN PECK DEFENDS CHICK-FIL-A

Former WORLD TURNS, ONE LIFE and DAYS fan fave sounds off

Is it something in the water? Move over, Missy Reeves because another soap star caught in a marital scandal is supporting anti-gay fast food chain, Chick-Fil-A. And his name is Austin Peck, the former DAYS, WORLD TURNS and ONE LIFE hunk.

Below is Peck’s response to a post written to veteran soap journalist Alan Carter’s essay decrying Chick-Fil-A funding hate groups:

I looked into the FRC and read their mission statement and critics of the organization. This is a very heated debate, a lot being flown back and forth. In FRC mission statement and other articles about it, I didn't see anything that resembles hate. A belief based upon biblical precepts pertaining to family and society. I have many thoughts on the subject. I'm not attracted to men and could not imagine what that would be like. I could not imagine the intense difficulty of being so in a world where there are people and beliefs that tell you your wrong for that. It's an issue that the Christian community has truly dropped the ball.

Unfortunately, the Bible says very clear, definitive things about the subject and people who have faith in Gods word, feel very strongly about it. Along the way, the most important part can be lost and or misinterpreted...LOVE. God loves, first and foremost. His words and laws are true.

I'm a SINNER! In the biggest way, I should be stoned (old testimony style) but God redeems, forgives and covers with His grace.

To judge, (which is hard not to do, being human and all) places me in judgment. Standing up for ones belief in love, even when it's unpopular, is risky as hell!

  Okay...This is a the TRUTH.

We live in a time in western culture where our media is influenced and controlled by the homosexual community. Alan...this is true. I lived in it and worked in it. Make up/hair/designers/crew/execs/writers/performers/casting...etc. If one isn't gay there’s a 100% chance they know and are close to ones that are. To deny this would be just that, denial.

If any one states a point of view that might disagree with the life style, choice, desire, belief, being born that way; you are immediately coined a hate monger, bigot, judgmental, fanatical, radical, ignorant, close-minded, prejudice, etc...

Alan. I have MANY, MANY gay friends. I Love my friends and all they've experience from me has been love and friendship; not perfect friendship, but what is? I have been around it for years and have seen A LOT and I do not believe that one is defined by what they do with and where they put their genitals. It's not a gender nor ethnicity.

I believe that people are made in the image of God and there should our identity lie. That God loves you no matter what you do! No matter what! That nothing can separate you from His love. We all have a choice and the choice is; do we receive His love or not,
except it or not. Whether you desire a man or not, act on it or not, is irrelevant. God loves us, loves you here and now, no matter what.

The rest is a distraction from the enemy of man.

You may not believe in the devil but he believes in you.

God is here for you now as well as me.

Years ago, when on TBN (one of the strangest places I’ve ever been), before being interviewed, I prayed and for some reason knew I was going to be asked about what I thought of homosexuality, I didn't want that but said I would answer according to the bible. I dreaded it! I was asked. I said what was said in the bible and after, some said I was speaking "hate". WHAT?!?! Isn't that just convenient to do that having never met me? You have. Did I act hateful towards you? I even prefaced by saying I had a lot of gay friends, which I did and do (that will now change, I'm sure).

I'm taking a big risk here by saying this and you can turn right around and take snippets from this and spin a version that makes me look hateful. I really hope you don't, I really truly hope you hear my heart. Because in the world in which you and have lived and live, my belief is SOOO not cool. I'll be wearing the scarlet letter.

Were all in the same sinking boat in need of life
