Chapter 7
Young Herod
"He shouldn't have done that to her," cried Young Herod while being held by Jezzz.
"I miss her too. I can't imagine her not being around. It's tearing me apart. I thought Judas respected our value and contribution more than that. What are we going to do?"
"You were going to marry Lawrence, weren't you? I mean you love him, don't you? You don't have to stay with me. Your sister was my best friend. When my eyes started changing, she was there for me. I thought I would go crazy. I didn't understand, but she pulled me through it. She even took me to an optician like us who was able to take care of it. She got me through it all."
"I don't know if I can marry him now. It seems that humans, all of them, are our enemies. We're not supposed to associate with any of them. I didn't ask to be this way. I didn't ask to be a Nephilim. Lawrence was helping me forget it and put it all behind."
"Where is he now?" asked Young Herod.
"I told him to hide. He moved to Canada just two days ago. Judas would have killed him if he knew. I'm going to join him in a couple of weeks. I want as far from that madman Judas, as I can get."
"I don't want to leave. I want to get even. I want him to pay. I want them all to pay. I just haven't figured out how, when, and where, yet."
The phone rang, and Young Herod jumped up nervously, then calmed himself, stood still for a moment, then slowly reached for it. "Yes, Pilate. I
understand. Now? Right now? Can't it wait? Okay, okay, right now. Jezzz too? Okay. We'll be there in a little bit."
"Judas?" she asked.
"Yes, we have an assignment. He wants us to track down some suspected light Nephilims. He said there are two girls showing up on the database with believer names, and they're the daughters of the ex-President, Alex Tabor. We have to find them."
"And?" she asked.
"You know!" he exclaimed angrily.
"Now, we're murderers too?" she spoke in shock. "Blowing up the tabernacle and setting our people free is one thing but…" she replied in disgust.
"But wait a minute, Jezzz," he interrupted. "You know very well that our group murdered over 35 Jesus Priests and numerous of our own kind."
"Our group did that, I didn't. I don't want to kill anyone, especially a couple of girls. That makes me worse than Judas. That makes me as bad as what he did to you and me—to our Abele. What are you going to do?" she asked as she help his face in her hands while hoping for better answers.
"Do my job. Find them," he replied laughing.
"I thought you just said…" she started to interrupt.
"Do my job, and find them, and get even, remember?" he laughed.
"Yes, I remember. Can we get it done in two weeks? I have a date in Canada," she replied joyously.
"Watch us, girl. In two weeks, you'll be in Canada raising humans. In two weeks, I'll be even, big time even."

Deadly Assignment
Pilate whispered to Judas, "They're here. Are you sure about this, Judas?"
"I know what I'm doing. I'm giving them a chance to prove themselves. At least, with them on assignment, I'll know what they're up to. Especially, if I send babysitters."
"Babysitters? Who?" asked Pilate, very perplexed by it all.
"The Agrippa twins!" he replied victoriously while admiring his own secret.
"Are we purposely trying to attract attention?" asked Cobrata as she moved behind Judas' sofa chair with her face resting on his shoulder.
"Oh, yes. That's exactly what we're going to do. I want my big beauts to be seen and recognized. They are the biggest message money can buy," he replied, then kissed on her near cheek.
"I want Young Herod and Jezzz to get that message. A little overkill, but I bet they get it. The message is that we mean business. I have something else for the Agrippas to do."
The doors came open, and a very enthusiastic Young Herod and Jezzz appeared while holding each other closely as they walked. They appeared animated and excited. It was a startling change from what Judas had last seen, and he didn't know if he could believe them or not so he didn't. Whatever their motives for by acting this way, he figured the Agrippa twins would keep them in line.
"Judas!" spoke Young Herod loudly, bowed slightly, then approached him and gave him a European squeeze while Jezzz pulled herself into Judas to give him a cheek to kiss.
"Young Herod, Jezzz. I see you two are more of a match than you ever imagined, right?" he said while he pushed away from Young Herod and sat down again. He handed Cobrata some CDs for safekeeping. She looked inquiringly at the labels, not able to tell anything about them.
"I'll explain later, Cobrata. Just keep them safe for right now," he
said as he blew her a kiss and watched her smile.
Judas decided on giving Young Herod a taunting test to flush him out, "Young Herod, I know you have hard feelings about what I did. We're not a very forgiving lot. It's not our nature. We leave that kind of stuff for believers and their sort. So, don't pretend that you're happy, happy Abele's dead, and happy to see me. We all know better. However, let's put it aside a minute to accomplish our tasks. Maybe later, after the assignment is done, we can thrash it out one on one, the old fashion way, if you like."
Young Herod didn't back away but sat down next to Judas, uncomfortably close, but Judas moved over and placed his hand on the couch cushion between them. Young Herod knew he was making Judas uncomfortable and was enjoying it. He reached out and patted Judas' knee in emphasis, and Judas jerked his knee back instinctively, like he was shocked. Judas chuckled nervously in his embarrassment.
"I would like an opportunity to discuss that after this mission. I really would. Jezzz has been very good to me. I'm sure you can imagine. Still, it would be good to clear the air. We'll have time for that after I get back. Now, exactly what is it you want your man and his best girl to do?" he asked, just above a whisper, controlling the quality of his voice, not showing his true emotions.
Judas stood up to get away from him. Young Herod was making him way too nervous; and for some reason, he was unable to read him. Judas took great pride in his ability to zero in on what people were about. He realized that Young Herod was far more complex than he ever imagined. He knew he was still devastated by Abele's death, but he was acting completely under control. This put him high on the Judas list in becoming a top-ranking officer in the group. He needed Nephilims, who, in spite of how they felt, could play their hand out. He needed poker players who could go stone cold and give all sorts of wrong signals when needed. This was art to him. Young Herod was just providing good acting, and Judas liked it.
"In spite of how we're discussing this now, I do know how you feel towards me. I admire your ability to control your feelings. That ability serves you well in my organization. Now, Jezzz, are you as good an actor as your partner?" he asked as she eagerly moved in front of him.
He put his arms around her small waist, kissed on her ear, then bit it with a loving nip. She moved closer to him and kissed him passionately on his mouth and pulled his face forcibly into hers with a hand against the back of his head not letting him pull away until she was done. He was delighted at her response but thankful when she let him go.
"Jezzz, you please me. Both of you do. You must have been taking acting lessons from the same teacher. I'm impressed."
"What do you want us to do, Judas?" she asked in an unemotional tone that was just the opposite of her second-ago intentions. It was another display of drama, and Judas noticed.
"Bravo, Jezzz! Bravo, again! You both are amazing! Now, let's get to business."
"There are two girls known as the Tabor girls. We've figured that they must be about 30 years old by now. From one other incident, we believe these girls are not only light Nephilims, but they're going to experience going through their change pretty soon. White stars of bright light will appear in their pupils, soon, if not already. Their change will be just as noticeable as ours
was. Do you understand?" he asked while seeing them give affirming nods.
"Enough of my rambling. These two need to be found. You need to find out if they really are light Nephilims, then, if they are, kill them. By the way, have either of you levitated before?" he asked as he looked back and forth between them, then back at Pilate and Cobrata. All of them were shaking their head "no."
"I thought so. Give me the CDs, sweetie, will you?" he said as he reached out and retrieved them from Cobrata.
"I've been busy for the last six months by documenting the abilities of Nephilims. We are capable of many things. I have prepared information for your view on one of these CDs. I want to get them to Europe without a transmission by email—not enough security. I've contacted a Nephilim courier, and he's going to pick these up from you in Washington D.C. I don't want to reveal any of these well-developed tricks of the trade until you get back from this mission. I want to do it all at once with as much attention as we can muster. I want to educate everyone on these abilities after you get back. It would shock you to know what we are capable of, absolutely shock you."
"Next, this other drive has the battle plan on it, which includes the names of those Jesus Priests we've replaced. This has been very difficult. You know very well that our size has made it difficult for us to replace smaller, puny humans. None of you has any idea how to morph, which is a learned art in itself. You see how much we need to learn?"
He continued, "Well, we just don't grow small enough. We've replaced five Jesus Priests, to date. There are also only ten top Nephilim officers in our high council who know a little bit about the plans, except no details, yet. The first four represent Italy, Britain, France, Russia, and then, us. We five are completely responsible for the plans contained on this drive. We are the only ones who know about each other. This courier is the only one who will know each location where these CDs will go. He just doesn't know who the contacts are. He knows the first four countries but that's all. After all, we had to give him the airline tickets. When he's done delivering, he knows he's dead, and he volunteered for this kamikaze assignment."
"This battle plan drive contains information that I haven't shared with you. It contains details on some suggested placements of the nuclear devices in Jerusalem, the synchronization process, and how we intend to take care of the abyss. This is it, the only copy. I have it memorized since I created it. But, our counterparts overseas need to see it," he proclaimed triumphantly.
"You two," he replied while pointing to Young Herod and Jezzz, "are going to have company. The Agrippa twins are going with you to make contact with the courier. This drive exchange is too important. After, they will accompany you when you try to find the Tabor girls."
Young Herod exploded, "Those eight-foot apes are going with us? American cars aren't big enough to handle those guys anymore. I thought this was to be secret."
"Herod, where is that control I just saw? Don't let me down. Show it to me again. That's their problem. They're to tag around at a distance like they have an unseen tethered rope attached to you. You can't miss them, but they'll hang back enough not to suffocate you. Don't worry about them. They're driving a limousine specially built for their size."
"I hope the limousine has titanium shock absorbers," Young Herod laughed with all of them joining.
"No doubt. I want you two to enjoy your new time alone. As you investigate, try to unwind from my mistake. I apologize to both of you. I should have never allowed myself the luxury of killing Abele. Regardless, how well it worked out, I owe you both one."
Herod and Jezzz bowed to his apology and knew it didn't make any difference. The apology was just words, and words couldn't bring her back. They also knew he was acting just as they had been, but their own secret plan was still in action—payback.
