Setup

Well, here we are at last. This is, as they say, “Where the magic happens”. First you will want to have your hosting (hopefully iPage) login and password ready. You will want to browse to your domain name. In this tutorial I will just use demo.com for demonstration purtposes.

You want to go to demo.com/cpanel then input your login name, your URL if you used iPage, and your password where they ask for it.

Once you log in you should see something similar to this:

You will need to scroll down the page until you get to the orange tab that says Website.

Under that tab you will have a few options available. For this part all you need to worry about is the blue and white W logo that says Wordpress underneath it.

  Click the Wordpress button.

Once you click the Wordpress button you will be sent over here to the Simple Scripts install page for Wordpress. This is the hard part, are you ready? Click the green Install button and wait about 2 minutes. It might take a little loner maybe even go a little faster. It depends on your connection speed. Just be patient, it will let you know when it is done. See, it even has a status bar.

Once that part is complete you will see your login information. The default user name is always going to be Admin and your password will look something like a408ssfdf. You WILL NEED THESE! Write them down before you go any further at all.

To log into your Dashboard, or your Admin Panel, you will need to go to your domain name.com/wp-admin. So for the example I will be using, demo.com/wp-admin.

Once you are there you should see this page:
