  He kept on walking towards an unknown destination and looked back for the last time. She now resembled a tiny dot, hazy and obscure.

  The Sun was sinking slowly behind the azure hills spreading its orange hue.

  As it darkened, Osin reached a dense forest with no sign of people and houses around. He hurried his way through the forest careful not to fall on the graveled road. Fear was striking him like a sledgehammer but there wasn’t any other option. Now, what remained was the sight of moon. Thirsty and famished he dwindled straight taking the path that lead him ahead.

  Osin groped hurriedly through the darkness increasing his pace. In the sparse moonlight he saw a house at some distance. It was a poor abandoned shack with broken walls and a hay roof. Apart from dogs barking at a distance and the buzz of insects there was no sign of life.
