And lost you
Why
I may die tomorrow
You will not know
You made me choose
And I chose my love
The End
You were not only my son
But God’s son too
Your brought joy
To the lives around you
From the joyful beginning
To the heartbreaking end
I watched you grow
Each and everyday
One day you were a boy
The next day a man
You were a friend to all
None of us will forget
Your memories and smiles
Will always be with us
From beginning to end
I Will Survive
Your words hit my heart
Yet I did nothing
Your actions killed my will to live
Yet I did nothing
Finally, your fist hit my face
And I fought back
Many battle wounds later
I woke up
I packed my bags
And hit the road
Before you killed me
Or I killed you
Please Don’t Go
Please don’t go
Don’t give up the fight
The world is not right
God can heal you
Just believe and live
Let go of the here
Forget the past
You are my friend
I can’t imagine life without you
I can’t imagine a day
That you won’t be here
Please don’t leave
Please don’t go
I Called
I called you last night
You said you were busy
The pain in your voice
Was evident that
I had upset you
So much seems to be going on
So little time to talk
Our friendship should be forever
Nothing should tear us apart
I don’t know what to do
To get our friendship back
Some how we upset each other
For things we did not mean to do
Please call or text me
Let me know you are okay
Tell me what I can do
To make it all up to you
Please
Please don’t make me say good-bye
Please don’t make me let go
Please don’t make me forget
I want to hold on until the very end
I want to be by your side
Until the last breath
No matter the pain or heartache
You can’t push me away
I won’t say good-bye
Until good-bye
Is all that is left to say
If I Were
If I were to die
Would you care
If I were to leave
Would you miss me
If I were to forget
Would you remind me
If I were to stop breathing
Would you breathe for me
If I were to cry
Would you hold me
I Saw
I saw a space shuttle take off
It reminded me of the world ending
I saw a puppy playing
It reminded me of the old days
I saw people laughing
It reminded me of us
I saw the stars
They reminded me of your eyes
I saw the moon
It reminded me that you will never be far
I saw the sun
It reminded me of your smile
I saw my dreams
It reminded me of…
Where
Where are the arms
To hold me
Where are the hands to
Wipe away my tears
Where is the heart
To always care
Where are the feet
To walk with me
Where are you
When I need you
God Gave Me
God gave me
Two arms
To hold you
God gave me
Two eyes
To see you
God gave me
One heart
To love you
I Fell In Love
On a cold dark night
I fell in love
On a dark lonely night
Your eyes lit up my world
On a lonely road
Your smile showed me the way
On a night like tonight
You were there if only in my dreams
Our Hearts Beat As One
You had one heart
I had the other
In the beginning
They beat as two
As the years
Have gone
And time has changed
Our two hearts
No longer beat as two
But now they beat as one
You are the other half
Of my heart
We beat in perfect time
Our hearts can be apart
But distance cannot stop
Our two hearts
Finding each other
And beating in perfect time
Nobody Heard
You meant no harm
You lashed out in anger
Nobody heard you cry
Nobody saw your pain
You yerned for a friend
To be by your side
Everywhere you turned
The door was already shut
You feel that nobody understands you
You think the world hates you
I am not the world
I don’t hate you
There is a piece of my heart
Where you will always be
Each day you are in pain
I wonder how to help
Do I put my arms around you
Do I cry with you
Di I sit beside you and just listen
I would do all those things
If it would take your pain away
To Late
I needed you
But you weren’t there
My brother was more important
The phone call couldn’t wait
Society thought you cared
But the closed doors held the secrets
In public I was your child
In private I wasn’t there
I was in pain
You didn’t notice
I needed your arms
I needed your love
I needed you
But you weren’t there
As the years went by
I realized the closed doors held the secret
You cared about the world
But not about me
My brother was your favorite
He did no wrong
He was the perfect child
That you held in your arms
Now the time has come
You need me
I don’t have time
The phone call is more important
My family can’t wait
They need my love
My arms are for them
My heart is filled with their love
My family needs me
You can wait
The closed doors always held the secret
But I found the key
I don’t need your love anymore
I have learned to let go
Time has come
You need me
Your favorite is busy
He has no time
Now you need me
But it’s to late
The Call
As the days went by
I waited for your call
I co
unted the minutes
Until I could see you again
I missed you everyday
I could not get you out of my head
As the minutes turned into hours
As the hours turned into days
I realized that you did not think of me
That you would never call
All My Life
I waited all my life
For a love so strong
I wanted to find a love
That would last forever
I waited for a love
To fill my heart
I wanted it to over power
My every thought
I waited for you
But you never came
My life is now over
My love is dead and gone
I can’t wait for you any longer
My dreams are no more
You were my love
The one I always dreamed of
I tried to tell you
In so many ways
You would never listen
You never noticed
I waited all my life
For someone like you
Just to Say Hi
I called you the other day
Just to say hi
I left you a message
Asking how you are
I knew you were at work
But I called anyways just to say hi
It’s been awhile almost a year
Since I said hi
You don’t call
You don’t write
Did you forget
I’m your sister
The only one you have
Time and distance drove us apart
I miss you
I think of you often
You can call just to say hi
You are still part of me
I love you
I don’t want anything
I know you are busy
You have your life now
You can call just to say hi
Don’t let another year slip by
Without calling to say hi
Grandmas
God spent more time
On Grandmas than anyone else
He had to mold them
And shape them
He gave them
Two arms to hold us
He gave them
Tears to shed
He gave them
A heart of gold
He gave them
Love that won’t end
He gave them
Patience to tolerate us
He gave them
A door that doesn’t ever close
He gave them
Love of a daughter
He gave them
Love of a mother
He gave them
Love of a grandmother
God spent more time on grandmas
Not because He loves them more
He spent more time on grandmas
So that when we think He’s busy He sends them
Dads
Dads are meant to love
Not yell and abuse
Dads are meant to protect us
Not break us in two
Dads are meant to teach us
Not beat us black and blue
Dads are meant to hold us
Not teach us to push people away
Dads are meant to show by example
Not show us the wrong way
Dads are meant to make us proud
So we can be like them one day
Dads are meant to be a man
So we can marry one someday
Dads are meant to teach their sons
How to treat a wife
Dads are meant to teach us things
So we can pass them on
Dads are meant to love us
So we know what love is
Dads are meant to leave footprints
For us to follow not hands made of steel
Dads are meant to be fathers and friends
So we always have a lap to crawl into
Grandfathers
What is a Grandfather
Is he someone that loves all the time
What is a Grandfather
Is he someone that comforts and fights the monsters
What is a Grandfather
Is he someone that gives piggyback rides
What is a Grandfather
Is he someone that walks you down the isle
What is a Grandfather
Is he someone that teaches you how to fish
What is a Grandfather
Is he someone that takes you hunting
What is a Grandfather
He is someone made from God’s image
What Makes a Friend
What makes a friend
Having a heart of gold
What makes a friend
Giving a hand to hold
What makes a friend
Sharing a secret smile
What makes a friend
Trust and love
What makes a friend
Rambling phone calls
What makes a friend
Being there through think and thin
What makes a friend
Just being someone like you
Easter
You sent your son
To die for me
It was said
On the third day He would rise
When Mary went back
He was not there
The Angel told her
He had risen and was alive
He walked the streets
Healing the sick and raising the dead
The cross and nails
Could not hold him
His love for us
Was stronger than the Jewish men
He took the punishment
We should endure
He died
So we can live
Praise Him today
The day of His death
In three days walk with Him
Because He always walks with you
Take My Hand
Come into my home
Take my hand
Sing praises to my name
Let me fill your heart
And renew your spirit
Come into my heart
Take my hand
I want to get to know you
I want to hear you say my name
Cry out to me
Let me remove your burdens
I want to heal your wounds
Come into my home
Take my hand
And never let me go
Today Is My Birthday
Today is my birthday
Did you remember
Today is my birthday
Why didn’t you call
Today is my birthday
Where were you all day
Today was my birthday
I spent it all alone
Today is my birthday
I made a wish
Today is my birthday
I cried myself to sleep
Today is my birthday
I wanted to spend it with you
Today is my birthday
You didn’t even send me a card
Today is my birthday
Why couldn’t I skip it
Today is my birthday
Happy Birthday to me
My Prayer
I asked God
To send me a friend
He sent me someone
I thought was the one
I realized that they
Weren’t whom He meant for me
I kept asking Him
For a friend
I wanted someone that would
Help me become closer to Him
I thought I wanted someone
With similar interests as me
I continue to pray
For a friend that I could talk to
I wanted a friend
That I could be myself with
The years continued to go by
I continued to pray
Then one day
He sent me you
Only a Prayer Away
You seem so far
The road is endless
It has been only a day
But it feels like an eternity
The days are empty
Time seemed to stop
I filled the distance
I brought you closer
I said a prayer
For you
Now you are not so far away
God is keeping us together
The distance is there
But He is greater than all the miles
The roads may separate us
But in His arms we are not far apart
He will guide you
And watch over you
He will keep you safe
And bring you home
He will remind you
That He loves you
When you seem far
I know that you are only a prayer away
Your Room
Your room is a mess
I stubbed my toe
I think there was
