Cassias had followed the three people to the old building as his lord had ordered him to do, and was listening and watching intently through a crack in a boarded window. He had observed that the two men were indeed vampires with the unique ability to use magic, and the young woman was a powerful witch. She obviously did not yet have a handle of her magic but the two men seemed in complete control and very powerful in their use of that magic. Cassias was using his gift of hiding to stay unseen and undetected, but he knew that they would soon know he was present and might react badly. His lord had ordered him to first observe then to invite the individuals to his lords home as guests. Though he was dressed in clothes that were unusual for someone of his standing and his hair was styled differently, Cassias knew that the man with the green in his hair was the infamous prince, and he also knew that all vampires were supposed to be on the lookout for him reporting his whereabouts to the vampires in charge of the areas that he is seen in.

Ty, Brenda, and the Elemental were discussing different ways to form the magic as Valentine stood there listening when the man walked into the room. He was obviously a vampire, but seemed to be completely docile not showing any signs of hostility towards their group. He approached them and bowed to Valentine “An honor to meet you my prince, my name is Cassias and I serve Duke Samuel. He has sent me here to ask for an audience with you and your companions, he hopped that you would be his guests in his humble home.”
Valentine and Ty immediately put on their royal looks and Valentine spoke calmly “I will except his offer and will allow you to lead the way to his home. My companions are Prince Ahti of the Coven, my husband, and this young lady is a recently adopted sister of mine who will become a vampire soon, her name is Princess Brenda of the Coven. As for the being who is behind me it is of no concern to you or anyone else and will take its leave shortly.” And taking the hint from Valentine the Elemental disappeared leaving the book lying on the floor where the Elemental had stood moments before.
Though the sight of the vanishing creature surprised him Cassias hid his feelings and bowed to each member of the remaining group personally introducing himself to each in turn apologizing for his initial rudeness and lack of knowledge as to who they were. He just hopped that his lord Duke Samuel had not bitten off more than he could chew this time.
