She takes out the wrinkled old piece of paper, reading it several times in a row. Her tears finally stop as she walks into the dirty old kitchen she once washed dishes in; the black and white tile no longer holding its old glossy luster. She rips a long rusted nail from the countertop. Putting it up to the essential artery in her neck. As she begins applying pressure, she says, “Reed, I am coming for you. Please wait for me.” She applies as much pressure as she can, shoving the nail through her neck. Letting out a loud fading scream, her very last tear rolls down her cheek and lands on the dirty old shoe. Leaning against the thin post, the blood slowly pools beneath her.

Saying life is painful is an understatement, but a life with love can heal the pain caused by our harsh world. A life without that love, is only a cold bitter one. I can only hope that this brutal life was worth living, to be able to see him again. The one person that could have saved all of the pain. The one who I loved. This one person... is Reed.
