I’m putting him in his sleeping bag tonight because I want to leave the window open a bit to let fresh air circulate. He kicks the blanket off. Will you open it?
Nick cracks the window open while Wendy slips baby Joe into his cute sleeping bag, which clips over the shoulders so his arms are free.
Wendy puts baby Joe in the cot, covers him with the blanket. She kisses him goodnight and then starts to cry. Nick tries to console her.

Hey, what’s this all about? Is it me? I don’t mean to be sarcastic. Let’s call it banter, eh?
wendy
It’s not you. It’s nothing.
She leaves the room. Nick picks up the baby unit from the window sill and notices that the battery cover and the batteries were loose behind it. He slots them all in place and puts the transmitter in the cot with Joe.

Wendy has her robe on as he enters, and is just kicking off her trousers. She looks antsy. Nick lifts the parent unit off the bedside table, and noticed a half bottle of gin, half gone. He snatches it up.
nick
Jesus, did you just neck half of this?
wendy
I don’t feel well and I want to sleep. Leave me alone. You have enough to drink most nights. I hardly touch the stuff.
