had Crystal Chappell not been there and had Jessica Leccia not been my co-star. We’re family now, so it’s safe and easy. We feel so comfortable and close to each other that, if it had been some random project, I would have been terrified! [Laughs]
[Joking] You should be… Crystal sent me the nude dailies! [Laughs]
It turned out great. Hey, VENICE could destroy all of us because the camera gets a lot of boobage there… They have to artfully and skillfully get a tasteful and powerful love scene out of all that…. but VENICE always produces sex scenes beautifully. We did have a glass of wine beforehand, let me tell you! Doing love scenes on VENICE feels so right in comparison to the restrictive sex scenes on DAYS, for example. That’s what’s fun about working on VENICE: It’s organic… and we can let it all out… metaphorically and literally. Brandon [Beemer] loves my role on VENICE. He puts my sex scenes on loop!
So do I! My fave Nadia Bjorlin role to date is Lara.
Thank you. I love Lara, because a lot of people think they are not good enough… and Lara struggles with that a lot. She’s extremely raw and real.
Do you prefer sex scenes with men or women?
They’re both delicious in their own way.
Disappointed in E! not renewing DIRTY SOAP?
Yes, a little bit. We had a really good time doing it. I thought we had a good response and the audience wanted to see more, but E! decided to go in a different direction.
You guys were on their toughest night! Not fair! Are you open to doing another soap?
Of course. I never say never to anything. Especially in this business. I always say, “There are no small jobs, just small actors.” [Laughs] Or whatever that saying is! Look at all these Oscar winners doing TV now.
How is my mother-in-law Fary doing with all of this?
She’s very disappointed that DIRTY SOAP is not continuing. Shocker! [Laughs] I make my living playing other people, so this was the most vulnerable I’ve ever felt, but it ended up being one of the best experiences ever, because Brandon, my mom and I got a lot of closer. When cameras are in front of you during issues, you can’t ignore them, and that’s the reality in reality TV. Thanks to DIRTY SOAP, we are all better because of it.
Who do you think is sexy, you sexy beast?
Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender.
For a more revealing interview with Bjorlin, tune in next week, and find out why Chloe will be one of the last things on Nadia’s mind when she enters the last act of her life. “I love Chloe; she’s a part of me forever,” Bjorlin says.
WTF?
ABC Named #1 for 2011 Ad Perception!
This is unbelievable considering ABC’s $69-million loss last quarter and all the negative press it received last year, but no one lost a dollar underestimating the taste of the business world!
According to a press release, ABC has won the top award as the highest-rated media company in the 2011 Advertiser Perceptions Intelligence Report, a far-reaching survey of leading advertisers in the United States. ABC also ranked No. 1 in the Brand Strength and Sales Knowledge in the Broadcast Television category, and won more categories overall than any other media company.
ABC was selected as the overall No. 1 media company, out of more than 25 media companies, and more than 500 media brands, measured across all media, including broadcast, cable, print, digital, mobile and other advertising networks. This prestigious award was determined based on responses from more than 2,000 media decision makers about their perceptions of the media company that's highest rated across two waves (spring and fall 2011). The award recognizes the combination of the following metrics: "A good company with which to do business," its delivery of "ad results" and overall "customer service."
The Brand Strength metric was assessed based on the combination of audience composition, reach, image and advertising results. For Sales Knowledge, the recognition was based on the following attributes: "understands advertiser products and brands"; "knows the assets of their media property" and "knows the advertiser's market and competition."
Yeah, tell that to the advertisers buying airtime during THE CHEW and THE REVOLUTION.

WGA Controversy: Did ABC Stiff Its Writers?
In more ABC douchebaggery news, this weekend, daytime scribes will find out who wins Outstanding Writing in a Daytime Drama… but it will cost most of them — literally! Normally, networks buy a table at the ceremony, but a source tells UNCENSORED that ABC refused to purchase a table for AMC writers (ONE LIFE was inexplicably snubbed). However, the insider is not sure if ABC is footing the bill for GH. Other than AMC and GH, Y&R is nominated.
UPDATE: ABC is not footing the bill for GH, either, confirms a source after reading my e-zine (you’d be surprised who my subscribers are).
Regardless, ABC: Nice… keep that cash for paying extras in your REVOLUTION audience.
EMMY WATCH 2012
Exclusive: Pre-Nom Ballot Revealed! Deadlines Revisited! Lifetime Achievement Award Chosen! Ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel?
We’re getting closer to the gold: The Emmy pre-nom ballot is in — and was made accessible to voters last week. The early deadline for the two-minute reels was Dec. 22, but most actors and shows were given until Jan. 24 to submit. However, crews (like hair and makeup) will be allowed until Feb. 17 to submit their reels.
Great News: UNCENSORED has exclusively obtained the complete pre-nom ballot — and their submissions! Because we’re like that.
Also, a NATAS insider reveals that a Lifetime Achievement Award recipient has already been chosen. I hope it’s Susan Lucci!
As for the ceremony, if there are no takers in the broadcast arena, Melody Thomas Scott told TV GUIDE: “I was unofficially told that if nobody picks up the awards to televise them they are going to be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Which is a great room, cameras or no cameras.”
Below is the letter NATAS voting members have received:
You are required to choose 10 performers from each of the six categories. This means that you are reviewing and evaluating the quality of work from all drama shows, not just your own show(s). You may make your selections either by clicking on the box to the left of the control number (which will mark the box with an “X”), or by marking the ballot manually.
The pre-nomination judging period ends on February 27.
