possessive of the character… but in a good way. Even during all the craziness Chloe experienced last year, I felt proud that I was at least playing her and trying to anchor despite Chloe being so lost. I tried to stay as true to Chloe as possible. Chloe could still come back. Her story is open ended. It’s not over until it’s over, I guess.

Do you still watch DAYS? I would have killed to see you go up against Sarah Brown’s Madison for Brady’s heart and other organs.

Yeah, I still watch the show. Not religiously. But I turn it on to see my friends and catch up on the stories. I’m happy for DAYS… and want them to succeed. I want DAYS to be the last soap standing. I wish everyone there nothing but the best. I would be very sad to see DAYS go. They are genuinely my family — not only the cast, but also the crew. There’s a great spirit there. I hope people tune in.

More would if you returned. Despite your shitty storyline, you at least delivered some memorable performances. You stretched yourself…

A lot of it was challenging, yes. Some of it felt preposterous, but for what it is worth, you’re right, I did stretch myself as an actress. It may not have all been executed properly…. My main beef was the pace of the beats and the timing of the story. For example, the post-partum storyline didn’t really last that long. It was oddly abrupt. I thought I tried to honest during the post-partum and suicide storylines, but it sped by so fast. Yes, I had some great moments, but I also had moments that I wish would’ve played out differently.

One of my twitter followers wanted me to ask you if you have any plans for another album?

I would love to. Fortunately, and unfortunately, I’ve been so busy the last couple of years so I have put my music career on the backburner. But music will always be a part of me and one of my great loves. Hopefully, now I will be able to work on my music and it will come to fruition. I know I talk about it a lot, but now that I have time…

Who do you think is sexy, you sexy beast?

Angelina Jolie is still my number-one girl, but I’m going to say Charlize Theron. And I’m pseudo obsessed with Michael Fassbender.

  I bet!

It has nothing to do with his 12-inch penis! [Laughs]

That guy has a lot of talent, let me tell you!

He sure does! [Laughs] He should’ve been nominated for an Oscar. The Oscars are more about someone’s body of work instead of one specific role. I think the SAG Awards and Golden Globes get it right more times than not. Did you know Michael is only 34 years old? He has a long career ahead of him, so he’ll get his due. His work in the past two years has been mind blowing. His talent is super sexy. And he’s smart.

  How do you keep sexy?

Humour, first and foremost. I think laughter is sexy. Whether you’re just being witty or self-deprecating, it’s a must. I like it when people are striving to be the best person they can be — and not trying to be someone else. It’s more of an attitude, in my opinion, that’s sexy. Everything else comes and goes. Judge Judy said, “Looks fade, but dumb is forever!” [Laughs] And I so agree with that. It’s simple, yet so poignant. To sum it up, I think sexy is being well read, interested in the world, laughter and talent is very sexy.

  Stop talking about me!

  POINTLESS PROMOTION

  BARBARA BLOOM, WHO?

According to DEADLINE.COM, Brian Frons won’t be inflicting his show-killing prowess on the CBS line-up. According to DEADLINE.COM:

With CBS’ daytime talk show THE TALK doing well in the ratings, the network executive who oversees it, Angelica McDaniel, is getting a promotion. McDaniel has been upped to SVP, Daytime, CBS Entertainment, a position that had been vacant for the past year, since Barbara Bloom left in January 2011 after 8 years. In he new role, McDaniel will oversee CBS’ daytime lineup, including dramas Y&R and B&B, game shows PRICE IS RIGHT and LET’S MAKE A DEAL as well as THE TALK, reporting to CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler. It has been a fast rise for McDaniel, who joined CBS in August 2010. She most recently served as VP, Current Daytime Programs, overseeing The Talk, and will continue to shepherd the day-to-day creative affairs for the talk show. “Angelica has made invaluable contributions to the launch and success of THE TALK,” Tassler said. “Her strategic and creative vision and understanding of the daytime landscape will continue to move CBS Daytime in the right direction as this successful and profitable day part continues to evolve.” Before joining CBS, McDaniel was a creative executive in the Telepictures/Warner Bros. program development department

  CABLE WARS

  SoapNet to expire March 23!

It’s official: Disney Junior, the 24-hour cable network, will replace SOAPnet on March 23rd, according to a ABC press release. Michael Fairman from ON AIR, ON SOAPS writes: ABC/Disney is gunning for preschoolers 2-5 and their moms, instead of airing same day and date episodes of your favorite soaps, Y&R, DAYS, and GH. While this is another black day for soap fans, it forces us to look for, or continue, to seek other options to see your soaps by either watching live during the afternoon, watching online or by DVR.
