Rob pulled the flash light around to where it lit up Gary’s face, “Have you got any other ideas Gary?”
Gary pursed his lips, “A thick concrete building would be better, but the problem is, it's going to get dangerous from other people who are looking to hole up, no, I guess not. I don’t know if we can take this or not, but I doubt if the women can for any length of time.”
“We can haul the generator up here; it's a small 5 kw diesel, and we can fix the place up before we bring them up by building wood walls and floors. It may not be so bad if we work at it.”
“I agree. We had better get out of here and hop to it; we don’t have long to get ready. I wish we had of said to hell with it and left a week earlier.”
“How long do you think we have at the outside? “ Rob asked as he led the way back out of the cavern.
“Maybe three weeks if we push it.”
“Ok then, let's push it. Can any of the test stuff you brought detect radiation from the sun?”
“Oh, yes, it can tell us when we have to go inside.”
