Twist ran a hand across Katy’s purple bath towel. It was still damp from her shower, water that had drizzled between her perfect breasts and down her lean thighs. He lifted the towel to his face and inhaled deeply. The scent was spicy and sweet. He rubbed his face against the damp fabric, then lifted his shirt and ran the towel across his stomach.

His face grew hot and his heart beat faster.

The doorknob rattled and Twist yelped.

“Sorry, didn’t realize anyone was in there.” Juicy lived at Katy’s almost constantly since the attack. “Take your time.”

Twist replaced the towel and hurried to the toilet to take care of business. Unfortunately, he’d need a few moments to be able to aim down. He snagged more hair from her brush while he waited. The witch’s journal was definite about needing more of her body for the magic to work. Fortunately, it seemed to mean hair and finger clippings, and not fingers or toes. He doubted he could get chunks that big without her noticing, but the other stuff was easy.

If he could get his hand on Fox’s bloody bandaging, he’d be set, but that huge monster of a father wouldn’t leave the house.

He’d worked his way into Katy’s “guard duty” schedule, but she was never alone with him. After the assault, it was like she and Fox both had twenty-four hour protection. He needed to wait until the heat cooled off, until someone turned complacent.

Oh well, more time to study the old witch’s journal. The internet had called it a “book of shadows,” but the first page said, “My book of magic shit. Keep out.” She wrote like a normal person without all the “blessed be” and “mote it be” shit he’d found in the books from Amazon. Her words made a certain amount of sense.

Twist had boxes of crap from the old witch. Bottles and jars and hand-written books, and he’d even taken the stuffed grackle because it seemed witchy and mean. He added some of the things to his room to intensify the shrine to Katy, maybe some of it would actually capture her essence or something.
