  Introduction

Once, there were two girls named Charlotte and Bloom. Charlotte has brown hair and blue eyes. She’s usually sweet, but can get sassy sometimes.

Bloom has red hair, green eyes, lots of freckles, and glasses. She’s really perky and sweet.

They lived on the same street on the beach in the Florida Bahamas. They were the best of friends.

  Chapter 1

  Canoe trip

“CHARLOTTE!!!!!!” Charlotte’s mom yelled. “WAKE UP! YOU BETTER NOT MISS BREAKFAST AGAIN!!!!”

“Ugh.” She thought as she slugged out of bed. She walked to the table, slouching. “Mom, can I go canoeing with Bloom today?” she said, as she slowly ate her pancake.

“Only if you bring your little brother, Thomas.” Her mom said with a grin.

“MOM!” she grouched. “Do I have to?!”

“YEAH! I don’t want to hang with her.” Thomas yelled. “I want to go to Franny and Jennifer’s house to spend the week!”

“Fine. If none of you want to do that, Charlotte, bring you sister, Aleah.” Her mom said.

“No! I wanna go with Thomas!!!” Aleah cried. (Literally! She was two!)

“Fine Charlotte, go.” Her mom said.

Charlotte met Bloom at the docks. “Are you ready?” Charlotte asked.

“Totally!” Bloom said excitedly. They brought the canoe to the docking ramp.

  Chapter 2

  The Not-so-Mysterious Island

As they got in the water, they started chatting. Charlotte grabbed one paddle, and Bloom grabbed the other. They paddled and talked until they couldn’t see the beach anymore.

“Well, what do we do now?” Charlotte asked, sighing.

“Isn’t it obvious? We talk!” Bloom said, trying to look at the bright side, trying not to think about being lost.

“About what?” Charlotte asked, then realizing that they were lost.

Bloom looked around. All she could see was blue. Blue for the sky, and blue for the ocean. She actually liked it, since blue was her favorite color.

She kept looking. Then she saw a speck of yellow! “I see land! It’s my island! Bloom Island!” she bounced.

“What?” Charlotte asked in disbelief that Bloom had been there before.

They padded there. The two girls tied the boat on two palm trees. “Charlotte! Go look for coconuts! There’s thousands!” Bloom said.

Sure enough, a few minutes later, Charlotte came back with ten or twenty coconuts. The girls chowed down on the milk and the mangoes that Bloom found.

“Are you ready to go?” Charlotte asked.

“Yes, but first, there’s something really cool that I want to show you, and it will prove I’ve been here before on a solo canoe trip.” Bloom said with an anxious grin on her face.

  “Whatever.” Charlotte groaned.

Bloom led Charlotte to a cave on the other end of the island. She moved a stone, leaving a hole. “Close your eyes...” Bloom said with a smirk on her face.

“Okay…..” Charlotte said, knowing that Bloom was up to something. Bloom pushed her into the hole! Charlotte slid down the hole, and when she finally opened her eyes, she was in a shiny cavern!

Bloom then slid down the hole. “Do you like it?” Bloom asked.

“Yeah, it’s really cool!” Charlotte exclaimed.

“The best part is,” Bloom said. “Look!” she pointed to a shiny pink stone.

  “Awesome!” Charlotte said.

Bloom picked up the stone. As she touched it, it glowed! “Do you want to hold it?” she asked.

Charlotte stood there in terror. She finally forced herself to make up an excuse and say, “Uhh…. My mom wants me to be home by now, so, uhh... let’s just go.” So they left.
