Read The Adventures of Charlotte and Bloom Page 5

  Chapter 13

  Plan B: hypnosis!

Bloom had to go to plan B! But, she was clueless. She went to sit down and watch her favorite TV show, Cra-Z Fairies. She saw that her favorite character, Belle, was hypnotizing the villain, Diane, fairy of darkness, into turning good.

Then, it hit her! I could go and hypnotize Charlotte into touching the stone! Bloom went to the convenience store and bought the Cra-Z Fairy Belle’s hypnotism kit, and set up a little stand in her front yard.

Bloom put a cardboard box and put up a sign that said, Bloom’s Hypnotism. She put a tip jar in front of the stand and placed two chairs on the side of the stand. She grabbed her watch and waited for Charlotte to come along.

An hour later, Charlotte walked down the street with Franny, Jenny, just laughing at Jenny’s butt and poop jokes. “Uh….hey, look, Charwette! Is that the red-haired poop we saw a couple days ago?!” Jenny giggled and pointed to Bloom.

Thinking of her anger with Bloom and the dumb stone, she laughed along with her cousins, “Yeah! We should flush it down the toilet!” They ran over to Bloom’s house.

This is my chance! Bloom thought. “Are you afraid of anything, Charlotte?” Bloom asked with the nicest look on her face as she could.

“Tat’s not why we here!” Jenny babbled. “We ‘gon fwush you down the potty, you poop!”

“Shut it, Jenny!” she said. “Now Bloom, I’ll answer your question if you tell me what’s going on.”

“I’m just trying to make you my friend again!”

“Fine, spiders and snakes.” She groaned.

“Then, come on down to BLOOM’S HYPNOTISM!” She yelled loudly.

Charlotte gave Bloom that “Are you crazy?!” look. “Is this a plan to make me touch that dang stone?!” she said.

“Sorry!” Bloom yelled as Charlotte and her little cousins walked off, giggling at Jenny’s jokes.

  Chapter 14

  Fire head!

Bloom had one last plan. She didn’t want to do it but she had to. She grabbed her two person canoe and tied it to the docks. Bloom snuck into Charlotte’s house again, and froze Charlotte. Boy, I hope she thaws! She thought.

She brought her into the boat and sailed to Bloom Island. Bloom took her to the cave and grabbed the stone. She put the stone on Charlotte’s back. It bounced right off! Ah, great! Bloom thought. How am I supposed to get her to do it now?!

Bloom had an excellent idea! (Not really. I’m being sarcastic!) She turned into a fairy and blasted Charlotte with a fireball.

Charlotte melted at once. Well, she wasn’t the only thing melted! Are you thinking it was the sand? No way! It was Charlotte’s friendship with Bloom. Charlotte was filled with rage! Her hair was ON FIRE!!!!!

She glared at Bloom while sizzling out her hair in the water in the little pond. She took Bloom’s canoe and paddled off. Well, I guess I’ll have to get home fairy style! Bloom thought.

  Chapter 15

Charlotte the mermaid and Franny who never shuts up

That night, Charlotte walked into the house mumbling in anger. “What’s wrong, honey?” her mom asked.

“Nothing, mom.” She answered. She trudged up to her room. Later, she heard her mom telling Aleah the story of “Mille the mermaid” She thought about mermaids all night.

That morning, When Charlotte tried to step out of bed, she flopped on the floor. What the heck?!She thought. Charlotte looked down at her feet. Well, they weren’t feet anymore! They were mermaid fins! BLOOM!!!!!!!!!!!! She frowned. Bloom got the stone to touch Charlotte! She was furious!

A little curly-haired 5-year-old passed by Charlotte’s window. It was Franny! “Charlotte?! You’re a mermaid?!” she yelled.

“No, get out, Franny! This is…um… a costume!” Charlotte replied.

  “OK! Whatever!” Franny yelled.

This will be a looooooooooooong day! Charlotte thought.

  Chapter 16

  Charlotte vs. Shark

Charlotte turned back to human after Franny left her back window. She put on her favorite peace sign T-shirt and her floral jeans. Bloom, you have no idea what you’re in for! She thought.

She stomped over to Bloom’s house. Knock, knock, KNOCK! Charlotte banged on her door in anger. Bloom didn’t come out, though. It was her older brother, Shark!

“What are you here for, Char-leh!” he hacked on the last word. You may not know this, but Shark and Charlotte are enemies.

“Can I talk to Bloom? I don’t have time to beat you up again!” she half-laughed.

“Oh, come on! It was one time you got me!”

“That was the only time we fought!”

  “Well, that is true……..”

“I don’t care! Just let me talk to Bloom!”

“No! Ha! How ‘ya like them apples, Char-leh!”

Charlotte started to get really mad. Her fists jumbled up and began glowing pink.

Shark just stood there, watching the pink light in Charlotte’s hands. “What? What are you staring at?” she asked.

  “Your hands! They’re…..they’re……PINK!” he freaked.

Charlotte looked at her hands. They immediately stopped glowing. Oh, Bloom is going down for this!!!!!!! These stinking powers! She thought.

“Uh……I was holding a light in my hands! I want to have a campout with Bloom! That’s what I wanted to talk to her about!” is what came out of her mouth.

“Whatever! BLOOM!” he ran into the house. When he came outside again, he said, “She said she didn’t want to see you ever again!”

Charlotte could see in his eyes that he was lying. “Go get Bloom, or do you want to get another black eye?”

“OK! Fine!” he said in terror, and ran into the house again to get her.

  Chapter 17

  A big mistake

A minute later, Bloom came outside. “So……..” she said as she leaned against the doorway. “So….Are you mad at me from last night?” she asked.

“Yeah, right.” Charlotte made the pink magic swirl out of her hands again.

“Well, that answers my second question!” Bloom giggled.

  “Bloom! This is NOT funny!”

“I know! It’s, like, totally awesome!”

“No it’s not! I hate this!”

“Ha! You should be thanking me!”

“Why on EARTH would I thank you for something that makes me a FREAK?!?!?!”

“Well, you and I could be crime fighters!”

“Are you kidding me?! There are no witches or warlocks or monsters or any type of dumb magic creature! We are the only ones! I’m going to take advantage of that! I’m going to blast you with my wind power away!” Charlotte used that pink magic and blasted Bloom.

Right before it hit her, Bloom said, “Wait! Land is……..”

  Chapter 18

  A big mission

Charlotte didn’t hear Bloom for a while, while she was walking down the street. When she turned around, Bloom was in a solid block of ice!

“Oh, no! What did I do?!” she yelled as she ran back to Bloom’s house. “I just have to help her!”

She ran back to her house and grabbed her swimsuit, put it on and yelled, “MOM!!! I’M GOING SWIMMING!!!!!!!”

  “OK!” Her mom yelled back.

Charlotte hid behind a rock and turned into a mermaid. She jumped into the sea and swam to Bloom Island.

She turned back to human when she got to the island. She ran to the back and removed the giant stone that was on top of the hole that led to the cave.

Charlotte slid down the hole and slowly approached the Pink Sparkle Stone. Lots of thoughts raced in her head. Am I really about to do this? I know my powers are incomplete! I have to touch it! Wait, why touch it?! Heck! I don’t want to do this! But, I have to help Bloom! Wait a minute! If she put me through this, why help her?! Because she is a pe
rson! I can’t leave her like that! She’s not just a person, she’s my best friend! Why don’t I like this?! It’s actually so cool! I’m going to touch it! I’m going to help Bloom!

Charlotte touched the stone, and focused on being a fairy. As soon as she did that, her red swimsuit turned into an orange, red, and yellow layered top. A fire-like skirt formed at the bottom of her top. From her top, a small flame emerged from her back. It flattened, quadrupled and turned into four wings. Finally, her flat, wet hair turned into a spikey ponytail.

She looked at her reflection in the water. She was amazed! She spent about ten minutes admiring herself.

Wait! Gotta save Bloom! She thought as she rose to her feet, grabbed a bucket of water, and flew back to Bloom’s front yard.

  Chapter 19

  That save…….totally NOT worth it!

Charlotte arrived in the yard and sat down. Boy, this is probably not going to end well! She thought. She blasted Bloom with her own fireball. Bloom melted.

“AH!!! I’M ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Bloom yelled as loud as she could. Now, were you wondering why she grabbed her water bucket? Here’s why! Charlotte poured half of the bucket on Bloom’s head. She fizzled out, but had a very mad face.

Charlotte turned back to human. She poured the rest of the water on her head and blew the steam away from Bloom’s body. “Look, Bloom, I’m really sorry! I should have believed you! This is awesome!”

  “I know right?!”

  “It’s so cool!

  “Let’s go fight crime!”

“Bloom! How many times do I have to tell you?! The only crime around here is when my brother comes home with his report card! They say he makes all A’s!”

“Oh, stop being so stubborn, Charlotte!”

“FYI, I am NOT scared to freeze you again! This time, I will NOT melt you!”

“Then I guess we aren’t friends!”

  “Fine, you meanie!”

Then, Shark and Piranha walked outside. Charlotte was frozen! (Not literally)

  Chapter 20

An ending to this crazy story with one chapter (how?!)

“Hey! Are you two fighting?! That stinks because if you guys aren’t friends anymore, I can’t pick on Char-leh anymore!” Shark laughed.

“Stop or I will hurt you. AGAIN!” Charlotte growled.

Piranha laughed. “Keep going! This is hilarious!”

  “Shut up, Piranha!” Bloom hollered.

“Well, the only thing we have in common…….” Charlotte said to Bloom. “We both hate your brothers!”

Bloom tried to make out a smile. “Come on! Finish it!” she giggled.

“Ok…..And we’re friends too!” They hugged.

  “AW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Both boys laughed hysterically.

“SHUT UP, YOU TWO!!!!!!!!” Both girls blew them away, since they were still wet.

An hour later, Shark and Piranha were in Shark’s room. “Hey. I wonder what that green stuff was coming out of their hands. And how did they blow us away?” Shark said to his brother.

  “Who knows?! It’s girls!”
