Back at his hotel Harvey Wall Googled the crampons, looked at photos of different models and realized the intruders were specifically modified for breaking into people's homes. A standard crampon would have left more incisions.
Tomorrow he would hopefully have information from the forensics team. Maybe then the search would move into second gear and catch this asshole, then within a short time he could relax and get to enjoy the city.
This morning he went to work thinking that this was the best and easiest job in the world. The two guys who had picked him up at the airport, Dop and Kaps were a regular Laurel and Hardy. Harry Ribb, the chief who looked at first as if he had nothing to do all day in his bare office, gave the impression he was slowly wasting away from tedium.
And then there was Bakker who looked and smelled like a goddamn hippie, but less of the idiot he tended to project. Appearances had fooled him again, just like his ex-wife.
