A father, A mother & Freedom at last

Outside Sangfoul where Sift and the others slept

Maanta awoke with a shiver and nervous fear clutching his body. The entire camp around him slept. The sun was rising through the ocean’s surface above and Anna rest closely upon his chest.

He couldn’t explain it, but he felt drawn to somewhere beyond the rising mountain, high above the ocean’s depths in the distance. He had to follow the feeling. Something was waiting for him out in the distant water.

Slowly, he moved Anna from his chest and helped her slumbering body to rest upon the ocean floor. He kissed her gently on the forehead and then mounted Archa before darting off toward the place he felt called to. Why he felt the need to leave Anna and the others, he did not know. What was happening to him?

Maanta rose on Archa as she swam over the mountain before them. The black spike spires of Sangfoul rose in dreadful glory ahead of Maanta now.
