  Chapter 7

  Haunted Castle Part 1

We have reached the castle, and all of us were very excited about it. In this dark the house looked greenish surrounded by plants, the front yard of the house very small as it was mostly covered by trees.

"So, we are here, the old haunted castle haunted by the old ghoul." my cousin Tarek joked.

"Where do we stay?" asked Minhaj uncle who was the only one feeling tired.

"Choose a room you like, and stay there." Masud uncle said.

There was a number in front of every room, which proved that once it was a inn. The house was quite gloomy. It was dusty and covered with webs which quite also prove that the house was not entered by anyone for a long time. I remember I read in a book that, in a place where there is no human life, is usually taken over by the jinns. So I was having this strange feeling that, there were jinns seeing us.

Minhaj uncle was too tired so he chose room no.5 as it was a little bit cleaner than the other rooms, and went to sleep. But the rest of the Housefull members were not feeling to sleep. We all sat in the sitting room of the castle. It was really big and there was a fireplace which we lit up to take shelter from the cold of the night.

While we were gossiping, Minhaj uncle came down, which was quite astonishing as we all expected that he was already asleep.

"Weren't you sleeping?" I asked him but there was no answer.

"What happened? Why did you get up?" Misba uncle asked but still there was no answer from him.

"What happened why you are not talking?" asked my cousin, Taher.

"You did a big mistake by coming to this place. I showed you symbols of not coming here, but you still came. You did a big mistake." Minhaj uncle suddenly said with a rough voice and hold the neck of Masud uncle. "How dared you to come in this castle? Nobody is allowed here. How dare you to listen to music? You have done a mistake and you are going to suffer."

He holds the neck of Masud uncle so tightly that he was unable to say or even do anything.

"What are you doing, Minhaj? Stop it." shouted my cousin, Tarek.

"His hands are not moving. They have become like rocks." my cousin Akram said, while he and my cousin Taher was trying to move his hand from Masud uncle's neck. Masud uncle was slowly becoming weak and his eyes were shutting and that is when my sister started to shout and cry. I was not able to understand anything of the situation. Slowly everyone was trying to push Minhaj uncle out of there, my brother Sumon, my cousins, Gulzar uncle, Misba uncle, all of them were trying to separate his hand from Masud uncle, but everyone failed to move him a inch. That is when suddenly my cousin Shuyeb took a vessel and broke it over Minhaj uncle's head. And at last he released his hand from Masud uncle's neck and fall in the ground senseless where Masud uncle breathed crazily feeling restless. Everybody was shocked by the sudden act of Minhaj uncle. Why did he even do this thing and how did he even get that strong. My cousin Tarif brought some water and started throwing water in his face, but still his sense did not come back.

"Hey, look at his mouth." shouted my cousin Sunny. Saliva was coming out of his mouth from the both the side of his mouth. Everybody was getting very worried about him.

"I said you not to come. I did not even want to come here, but you guys forced me. Your partner has been haunted. I am not staying any more here. I am leaving. I am leaving." Mr.Jaber said with a frightening voice and ran out of the castle. He just left us alone in this castle. None of us moved to stop him because we were too busy with Minhaj uncle.

"What should we do?" my cousin sister, Happy asked.

"I do not understand anything. I want to go home. I want to talk with Mom!" I shouted and started to cry. Tears were falling from my eyes. I was too much scared to stay there. "I knew it from the time I saw that man running. I knew it at that moment that we are not entering a safe place. Mom!" I cried in fright.

"Emon, calm down. Let us first bring Minhaj to sense. None of us can’t understand anything. Please, calm down." my cousin Akram said. My sister was also too scared and she also started to cry in fright. My cousin, Sunny was also very afraid and was separated from us and sat at the corner of the room curling him in fright. My cousin sister, Happy tried to make him understand, that he should not get scared. But why shouldn't we get scared. We have entered the haunted castle.

"Uncle, I think we should leave as soon as possible. We should leave the moment Minhaj comes to sense. I also don't feel anymore that this place is safe." my brother said.

Suddenly Minhaj uncle got up and started murmuring something which we couldn't hear.

"What are you telling Minhaj? Say it loudly." Misba uncle said.

"Minhaj, come to sense. Bring water!" Gulzar uncle shouted.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" shouted Minhaj uncle. "You will suffer." he said it and again went unconscious.

I was more scared and I started cry louder. "I want to leave this place."

"Emon, please don't cry now, the situation is a lot harder, we need the support of everyone. Minhaj has to come to sense." my cousin, Akram tried to explain me.

"Hey, come here, he is coming to sense." shouted my cousin Shuyeb.

"What am I doing here? Wasn't I in the bed?" Minhaj uncle asked. "AAh! I am having a very heavy headache suddenly. I feel my head is very heavy for me to carry."

"You must have been taken over by jinn. My teachers said, that when a jinn takes over a body, saliva comes out of your body, then when that person comes to sense, he has headache. You had both the symbols. And of course you had the main symbol that you were acting crazy." my cousin Tarif said, which made feel that my prediction was right. Minhaj uncle was haunted. We have entered the haunted castle.

"What are you saying?" Minhaj uncle asked.

"Long story, not a right time to say." Masud uncle said.

"So let’s leave now." my sister shouted.

"Not now. I don't think it would be safe now to get out and secondly the outside is really dark. Lets pass the night; we will get out early in the dawn."

"Yes, I think that would be a right decision." Gulzar uncle supported Masud uncle. "Until then, we all should stay together; none of us should not get away, separate from us.”

Everybody had no option than accepting with Masud uncle because who knows something worst might wait for us outside in the dark rather than in the castle.

  Chapter 8

  Haunted Castle Part 2 (ESCAPING)

After the event happening with Minhaj uncle all of us were in the sitting room, everyone was much tensed. I didn't want to die so fast. That haunter, which has haunting us until now, didn't yet harm us that much, but what if he does the second time. He did harm Minhaj uncle a little bit, although it wasn't that much, he was harmed. What if he harms us more in future? I really did not feel like staying there.

"Guys! Does it mean that until now, whatever bad thing happened with us was actually haunted? You have heard Minhaj saying when he was senseless, that it showed symbols of not coming here. Did he mean of those mobile turning on and off?" my cousin Sister Happy asked.

"Now, I am not anymore confused, that old man running was true. It must have been one of the symbols. We shouldn't have come here uncle. We shouldn't." I said.

"I don't know anything. I am really confused. All this days I believed that there is nothing like that. Jinns taking over human was just a false thing, but today, this scenery. I bet Minhaj would never hold my neck when he is conscious." Masud uncle said.

"What? I touched your neck. But how?" Minhaj uncle asked. My cousin, Sunny said him everything. As soon he came to know about his work, he was more scared than ever. "I really want to go home, brother."

"We will, let there be a little bit light outside."

"BOOM" a loud noise was made. It was like something had fallen down or was hit with
something and it was from upstairs. We all ran upstairs.

The bookshelf in the room no.1 has fallen down, the cupboard has fallen down, there were some things above a shelf which was attached with the wall has fallen down.

"How on the earth, did this fall?" my cousin, Shuyeb asked. All of us were astonished by this view.

"Uncle, I want to go home, and now, take candles anything, but I don't want to stay here anymore. Not even for one moment." I cried.

"Yes, we want to leave now." my cousin Sunny and Happy said.

"CRASH" another sound came from another room. We ran the other way and saw another astonishing view. In room no.7 the window's glass was broken. The window was shut but still the glass broke, and the glass was broken in so small, it was like dust.

"See! This place is haunted. I am leaving, I don't know about you guys." my cousin Shuyeb and Tarek were preparing to leave.

"Yes, I think we all should leave now." said my cousin, Akram. "This place is not anymore safe."

We all prepared our things and started to walk out the castle. We took two candles from the castle so that we could see the road.

"Boom! Boom!" another couple of sound came from the inside of castle.

"No time to see it. We have to get out of here." Masud uncle said.

We ran toward the forest. At that moment none of us knew the way, so we just ran to get away from that haunted castle. We didn't know was there anything out, but we were sure that the castle was haunted.

  Chapter 9

  ESCAPING the HAUNTED FOREST

I think for the past hour we have been running but yet we are not out of the forest. Our inhaling and exhaling was so loud that someone from 1 km away could hear us.

"Uncle, how long we have to run? We have be running for one hour." my cousin Tarif said.

"I don't know, we don't have our guide, and I don't know the way. What can we do?" Masud uncle panicked.

"The problem is that there is no network, and it is impossible to inform anyone." my cousin Akram said.

"I wish there was someone to help us." my cousin sister Happy said.

"What should we do now?" my brother asked.

"Hey, everybody quiet. I can listen something." I said. "It’s footsteps. Someone’s coming here." I could clearly hear that there were footsteps and it was fast and slowly it was coming closer.

"Hey! Anybody out there." shouted my cousin Taher.

"I think its Mr. Jaber, our guide." my sister shouted in delight. I don't know why, but maybe she thought that our guide was coming to help us.

"Boom! AAAAAAAAAAAA" a sudden shout from a far distance was heard. It was a voice of a lady.

"RUN!" shouted Masud uncle shouted in fright, and once again we started to run for our life. I was just thinking that if you just keep on running like this, what if we never get out of this place. We never came, and nobody will come to rescue us. Why would anybody, because they would take us as dead. I kept on praying for help, as I was running. I was usually falling behind because of me being fat; I was feeling that something was following us.

Once again, when we could only hear our breath and nothing else, we stopped for some moment to rest.

"Uncle, how the hell do we even get out of here?" my cousin Tarif asked.

  "I don't know. I don't know anything." he panicked.

"Hey, look there, is it some kind of light." shouted my cousin Sunny.

Not much far, we could see a glow of light. We thought it maybe some help, so we ran toward it. As soon we reached there we saw an old man, but he had no light in his hand, and the moment we reach there, it was dark again.

"Hello, we were here for a trip, but we have lost our way, could you tell us the way out of the forest?" My cousin Akram asked the old man.

"What are you doing here? Why did you come to this place? Don't you know this forest is haunted by the evil jinns? Come with me I will show you the way out." the old man said. He was wearing a long white dress which reached up till his ankle. The moment I saw his face, I felt like I saw him somewhere, I couldn't remember where, but I remember I saw him, but I just didn't know was that the right time to ask it, for which I did not ask.

"We did hear that, this place was haunted by the ghoul of the old owner of the castle, but we did not believe that. But now it seems that this place is really haunted. A lot of thing happened with us. A lot, which is why we decided to leave." my cousin Tarek said about it to the old man.

"It is haunted, but not by the ghoul of the old owner, but with some evil jinns. Whom I believe were the one who killed the old owner?"

"What do you mean?" my cousin Taher asked.

"Yes, it was some evil jinns who came as an appearance of human, and killed the old owner."

"Why did they kill him? What was their benefit?" asked my cousin Shuyeb.

"That old owner had power to catch evil jinns." he said.

  "What the!"

"From that time, if anyone came in this place, those jinns would harm them and won't let them stay here, either they kill them, or they would force them to leave."

"So, why the hack are you here? What if they haunt you?" I asked.

  "I can't leave this place."

  "Why not?" I asked back.

"Ah! Here we were, this is my territory, I can't go any more, you keep on walking, soon there will be Fajr's Azan, and there will be a mosque, there will be people, you can take help from them." he just changed the topic.

"Oh! Thanks a lot, you helped us so much." my cousin, Akram thanks a lot.

"Now leave, they will be searching for you."

"Why don't you come? They will be also searching for you." my brother said.

"I will, but not now." he said and left for the other way. He was again going inside the forest.

  Chapter 10

  Safely Returned

The old man got in the forest and we started to walk forward. And as the old man said that there would be soon the Fajr's azan would be given, we did here it and soon we were in front of a mosque.

"Hey, I think I saw this place before." my cousin, Taher shouted.

"Of course, we all did. This is our village's mosque." Misba uncle shouted.

"But how did we reach here? Weren't we in a forest?" I asked.

"Look there, it’s our mosque's Imam." my cousin, Tarif pointed at the Imam (the person who leads the people in prayer) of the masjid.

"I remember. That old man was the same old man I saw running with the speed of bus. He was that person. I am 100% sure." I said.

  "What?" my brother asked.

"Let’s go back and see." my cousin Shuyeb said. We all quickly went back and what the! There was no forest and it was the road of our village. Peoples of our village were coming for prayer.

"What do you think that man was?" my cousin Tarek said.

"I think he had some extraordinary power. He saved us." Misba uncle said.

"No, I think he was a jinn, a good one." my cousin, Tarif said.

"Now, you say, were we all having illusion?" I told my cousin, Akram.

"I don't know. Let’s just forget it. Let’s go home." he said.

All of us walked home. Until now some of our family did not believe in those, but after this journey they have started believe in it and they are always frightened if they are left alone in a dark place. I used to be always scared, and I was still feeling that we may be attacked again. This time it would be harmful.
