PARTMENT #128 - DAY

Richardson is asleep on the bed alone. She is startled awake by the SOUND of the door opening. It is Walker carrying a tray of food.

  RICHARDSON

  (half asleep)

  What's going on?

  WALKER

Relax, I just got us some things to eat.

  RICHARDSON

  How long did I sleep?

  WALKER

  About five hours.

  RICHARDSON

  What about you?

  WALKER

  About three.

He sets the tray down next to her and both begin to eat as she looks out the window at the mountain scenery.

  RICHARDSON

  Where are we anyway?

  WALKER

We just entered Colorado. I heard some people talking in the dining car; we're heading for Denver. Should get there in a few hours.

  RICHARDSON

  What do we do then?

Before Walker can answer, several bullets CRASH through the window and strike him.

Richardson ducks for cover as Walker falls to the floor in pain. Several more bullets RIP through the room.

Walker looks out the window and SEES Timmerson, holding the sniper rifle, standing in the doorway of the Stealth Helicopter as it flies beside the train.

  INT. STEALTH HELO TWO

There are twelve fully armed SQUAD MEMBERS along with Timmerson, Mercer, and Pilot #2 in the helicopter.

  TIMMERSON

  (to Pilot #2)

Take us over the last car.

The helicopter moves over the last car of the train.

  TIMMERSON

  (to Mercer and Squad)

Okay, I've drawn first blood! You boys know the rest of the routine!

Mercer nods yes, then rappels down the rope to the roof of the train. He is immediately followed by ten Squad Members.

  EXT. TRAIN/ROOFTOP

Mercer and the rest of the Squad are standing on the roof.

  MERCER

Search and destroy! If it moves, kill it!

SQUAD MEMBER #1 is the first to jump down onto the loading platform followed by Mercer and the others.

  INT. STEALTH HELO TWO

The helicopter moves back beside the train.

Timmerson is looking through the scope on her sniper rifle.

  TIMMERSON

  (into microphone)

No sign of Walker in his room.

  EXT. TRAIN/LOADING PLATFORM

Mercer is listening to Timmerson over his headset.

  MERCER

  (into microphone)

Don't worry about it, ain't nothin' gettin' off this train alive!

Squad Member #1 slides open the door, then moves out of the way.

There is a PASSENGER standing outside his room, trying to see what the commotion is about. Mercer FIRES his gatling gun, TEARING the Passenger and hallway to pieces.

  MERCER

Let’s go, gimme room to room!

The Squad Members begin KICKING open doors to the sleeping compartments and SHOOTING anyone that they find inside.

Mercer walks down the hall, SHOOTING fleeing PASSENGERS as he LAUGHS.

They make their way room by room until they reach the end of the car. Squad Member #1 slides open the door to the next car.

Mercer and the others walk in and begin their search anew, killing anyone that they find.

  MERCER

  (yells)

Last time I had this much fun killing people was at Auschwitz!

They come upon the part of the car where there are rows of seats. The ceiling of the car is taller than the ceiling of the sleeping compartment car and Mercer and the Squad Members don't notice Walker above them, wedged between the walls near the ceiling.

As the last Squad Member walks under Walker, a few drops of blood land on his weapon.

He looks up to SEE Walker plummeting down toward him. Walker lands on him HARD, driving him to the ground.

The other Squad Members don't hear the commotion because of the sound of their own GUNFIRE as they shoot at the fleeing PASSENGERS.

Walker BREAKS the neck of SQUAD MEMBER #10, then picks up his machine gun and OPENS FIRE on SQUAD MEMBERS #4 through #9, killing them all.

Mercer turns around when several stray bullets STRIKE the area around him.

  MERCER

  You finally ready to play?!

He pulls the trigger on his gatling gun.

Walker dives behind the seats for cover as the entire area is RIDDLED WITH BULLET HOLES. Mercer continues to FIRE and is joined in by SQUAD MEMBERS #1 through #3.

Richardson emerges from the restroom behind them and quietly moves in behind Squad Member #1.

Richardson quickly grabs his handgun out of his hip holster and FIRES three rounds into his side, then FIRES several rounds into the backs of Squad Members #2 and #3.

Mercer runs out of ammunition in his gatling gun as Richardson FIRES the last three bullets into his back. The mountain of a man turns around and faces her.

  MERCER

That hurt. You like it rough, lady?

He drops his empty gatling gun and smiles as he takes a step toward her.

She throws the empty gun at him, HITTING HIM in the face.

  MERCER

I like a woman that plays hard to get...

  WALKER (O.S.)

  Susan, get down!

  Richardson instinctively hits the floor.

Several bullets RIP through Mercer as Walker empties the weapon into his back.

Richardson rolls out of Mercer's way as he falls to his knees in pain.

Mercer pulls himself to his feet and turns to SEE Walker running toward him holding the machine gun over his head like a baseball bat. Walker swings the weapon and STRIKES Mercer in the head, BREAKING the stock off the weapon.

Walker KICKS him in the chest, sending him CRASHING through the door that separates one car from the next.

Walker runs toward Mercer and TACKLES him hard, sending them CRASHING through several rows of seats.

  INT. STEALTH HELO TWO

Timmerson is watching them through a pair of binoculars.

  TIMMERSON

  (panic)

  Come on, Mercer! Fight!

Timmerson LOOKS in the direction that the train is heading.

  TIMMERSON

  (pause; to Pilot #2)

  ...Take us up ahead.

  INT. TRAIN

Walker is on top of Mercer, PUNCHING him in the face. After several blows, Mercer catches Walker's fist in midair.

  MERCER

...You're gonna have to do a lot better than that.

Mercer delivers a THUNDEROUS BLOW to Walker's face.

  INT. STEALTH HELO TWO

The helicopter flies over a deep valley that is connected by a suspension bridge. There is a large FLOWING river several hundred feet below.

  TIMMERSON

  (pause; thinking)

  ...Blow the bridge.

  PILOT #2

  Excuse me?

  TIMMERSON

I said blow the damn bridge!

  PILOT #2

But what about our men on the train?

  TIMMERSON

Expendable...They had their chance and they blew it.

  PILOT #2

  ...Yes, ma'am.

  INT. TRAIN

Mercer, standing over Walker, is listening to Timmerson over his headset. He tries to talk into the damaged microphone.

  MERCER

You little skank! What the hell you think you're doing?!

He turns his back on Walker to look out the window.

  MERCER

  Timmerson?!

  EXT. STEALTH HELO TWO

Several guided missiles are FIRED from the helicopter and they STRIKE the middle of the bridge causing the center section to collapse.

  INT. TRAIN

  Mercer EXPLODES in anger.

  MERCER

You little bitch! I'm gonna rip you in half the next time I see you!
>
  WALKER (O.S.)

What makes you so sure you'll see her again?

Walker has picked up part of a metal railing that had broken off during their fight and swings it at Mercer, STRIKING him in the head, sending him sprawling to the floor.

Walker RUNS back into the car where Richardson is, then reaches down and with great effort, pulls apart the mechanism that connects each car together.

The first three quarters of the train begin to pull away.

Mercer struggles to his feet just as the engine car plunges off the track. The rest of the cars, including his, tumble off the track and CRASH into the river below.

  INT. TRAIN

The part of the train with Walker and Richardson in it comes to a stop just at the edge of the damaged track that overlooks the river a couple hundred feet below.

They both watch as the helicopter maneuvers into position to destroy the part of the bridge that they are on.

  RICHARDSON

...Let me guess, we're gonna have to jump again, aren't we?

  WALKER

  Good guess.

He grabs her hand and they both JUMP off the train as the helicopter FIRES it's missiles.

  EXT. BRIDGE

The train and the rest of the bridge are DESTROYED as Walker and Richardson fall through the air.

Walker pulls her tightly against his body to take the brunt of the impact as they HIT the water.

  EXT. RIVER

The debris from the train and the bridge come CRASHING down into the water behind Walker and Richardson.

  INT. STEALTH HELO TWO

  Timmerson reloads her sniper rifle.

  TIMMERSON

  (to Pilot #2)

Take it down. I want to make sure they're dead.

  EXT. STEALTH HELO TWO

The helicopter descends and heads downstream.

Dead Passengers and debris from the train are floating everywhere.

  INT. STEALTH HELO TWO

Timmerson points to a spot in the river where there is a large riverbank.

  TIMMERSON

  (to Pilot #2)

  There, put her down there...

  Pilot #2 lands the helicopter.

  TIMMERSON

  (to two Squad Members)

All right, you know what they look like. I want every single body checked.

  EXT. STEALTH HELO TWO

Timmerson and SQUAD MEMBER #11 and #12 exit the helicopter.

  TIMMERSON

  Spread out...

They turn over each body they come upon as they search the area.

Nobody notices Richardson as she emerges from the water and quietly makes her way to the helicopter.

Timmerson and Squad Member #12 don't notice Squad Member #11 being pulled underwater by Walker.

Richardson picks up a large rock and boards the helicopter.

Timmerson doesn't witness Squad Member #12 being pulled underwater.

  INT. STEALTH HELO TWO

Richardson sneaks up behind Pilot #2 and SLAMS the rock against the side of his head. She pushes his unconscious body out of the helicopter, then sits down and quickly goes over the controls.

  EXT. STEALTH HELO TWO

Timmerson is still turning over bodies and searching the wreckage along the river.

  WALKER (O.S.)

  Looking for me?

Timmerson stiffens. She turns around and SEES Walker rushing full speed toward her.

Walker covers the distance in a blink of an eye and SLAMS into Timmerson, causing her to lose her weapon.

  INT. STEALTH HELO TWO

Richardson PUSHES several buttons on the control panel and the rotary blades on the helicopter begin to SPIN.

  EXT. STEALTH HELO TWO

Timmerson and Walker are twenty feet away from the helicopter when Timmerson delivers a VICIOUS KICK, sending Walker flying through the air toward the rear rotary blade.

Walker TWISTS in midair just enough so that the blade barely CUTS INTO his shoulder.

He falls into the water. When he comes up for air, Timmerson POUNCES on him. She grabs him by the throat and forces him back down under the water. Walker struggles to come up.

  TIMMERSON

  (yelling)

What's the matter, Walker, having a little breathing problem?!

Timmerson pushes him back down. Several moments later, Walker emerges again, GASPING for air.

  TIMMERSON

  (taunting)

Come on, Walker, die so I can have a little fun with your new girlfriend!

Timmerson tries to push him back down, but the comment she made enrages Walker, giving him new strength. Walker won't go back down. He grabs Timmerson's wrists, then allows himself to be pushed underwater.

  TIMMERSON

  (laughing)

  Got you, you mother fu...

Walker places his feet against Timmerson's chest and KICKS with all his might. The force of the kick sends Timmerson up into the SPINNING main rotary blade. Death is instantaneous.

Walker struggles to his feet, clutching his bleeding shoulder, and staggers over to the open doorway of the helicopter.

Richardson turns in her chair and SEES all the blood on him.

  RICHARDSON

  (gasps)

Oh my God, Walker, are you okay?

  WALKER

Just peachy...Can you fly this thing?

  RICHARDSON

I think so. It's not much different than what I'm used to flying. I think I've even figured out how to turn on the cloaking device...

  (eyes widen with fear)

  Walker!

As Walker is getting into the helicopter, a large mangled hand GRABS him by the neck and pulls him out.

The hand belongs to Mercer, who is badly wounded from the train wreck and fall.

He THROWS Walker backwards through the air, into the water, then limps toward him. Walker emerges from the water and finds Mercer standing over him.

  MERCER

  (smiling)

I'm gonna make you cry for mommy.

With that said, he begins STRIKING Walker mercilessly. After several BLOWS, Mercer notices a strong BREEZE behind him.

Mercer turns and SEES the Stealth Helicopter hovering several feet away, the gatling gun, mounted on the nose of the helicopter, is aimed at his chest.

  MERCER

  Oh fu...

The gatling gun ERUPTS, spitting out hundreds of bullets into Mercer. His bullet ridden body falls in pieces into the water.

  Walker struggles to his feet.

  INT. STEALTH HELO TWO

Richardson is smiling as Walker crawls into the helicopter.

  RICHARDSON

I figured out the weapon system.

  WALKER

  ...You sure did...Lucky for me.

Richardson holds up a small electronic device.

  RICHARDSON

I also disabled the GPS transmitter so they can't track us.

She tosses the device out the window.

  WALKER

Well, aren't you the busy little bee?

  RICHARDSON

Just lay back and relax. I'll get us to D.C. in a few hours.

  WALKER

  Sounds good.

Walker lays down on the floor of the helicopter as it lifts off the ground and ascends into the sky.

Richardson engages the cloaking device as the helicopter heads east.

  EXT. STEALTH HELO TWO

The helicopter SHIMMERS and turns invisible as it flies over the river.

  EXT. LAX AIRPORT - DAY

President Roberts, Hilliard, and Tyson are boarding Air Force One.

  Tyson's phone RINGS.

  TYSON

  Tyson here.

  S.S. AGENT (O.S.)

Sir, we've lost contact with the Strike Team.

  TYSON

  (shocked)

  What?!...When?!

  S.S. AGENT (O.S.)

A few minutes ago. They were engaged with the target when we lost the signal from the location
transmitter.

  TYSON

Well, maybe the transmitter was damaged...or maybe a malfunction.

  S.S. AGENT (O.S.)

Communications have also ceased, sir. We've tried repeatedly, but no one answers.

  TYSON

  What about radar?

  S.S. AGENT (O.S.)

Nothing. Either they've switched to stealth mode, or the helicopter has been destroyed.

  TYSON

...Send out a search team and keep trying to contact them. Keep me abreast of the situation.

  S.S. AGENT (O.S.)

  Yes, sir.

  Tyson hangs up the phone.

  HILLIARD

  ...They failed didn't they?

  TYSON

  ...Not necessarily.

  HILLIARD

  (sure of himself)

They failed...and Walker is still alive. I can feel it.

  TYSON

...He might be in possession of our helicopter also.

  HILLIARD

He may be in possession of it, but he can't fly it.

  TYSON

No, but the woman he's with has some experience with flying helicopters.

  HILLIARD

  How much experience?

  TYSON

  Six years...military.

Hilliard closes his eyes in disgust, then SIGHS.

  HILLIARD

...This is going to get bloody, Tyson. You up for it?

  TYSON

Yes, sir. In fact I'm looking forward to it.

INT. STEALTH HELO TWO - EARLY EVENING

Richardson HEARS movement behind her and turns to SEE Walker sitting down in the seat next to her.

  RICHARDSON

  How you feeling?

  WALKER

  Better...How long was I out?

  RICHARDSON

About five hours...I was worried about you.

  Walker smiles.

  RICHARDSON

  What?

  WALKER

Just haven't had anyone say that they were worried about me in a long time...It's nice.

  (awkward silence)

  ...You look comfortable flying this.

  RICHARDSON

It's not much different from the type of helicopter I used to fly. They're so high-tech now they almost fly themselves.

  WALKER

  ...Look, I've been thinking...I can't ask you...

  RICHARDSON

  (cuts him off)

I'm with you until the end and there isn't anything that you can say to change my mind. I know the odds are stacked against us, but they'll be a helluva lot better with me flying this...Besides, partners stick together, no matter what the odds...You hear me?

  WALKER

  (smiles)

  Yeah, I hear you.

She looks at the control panel to get their location.

  RICHARDSON

...Now, we're about a half hour away from Washington, what's the plan?

  WALKER

Find someplace safe and out of the way to land, then find a place to sleep for the night and work on the game plan.

  RICHARDSON

  What about weapons?

  WALKER

I've got a storage center in D.C. stocked with enough firepower to start World War Three.

  RICHARDSON

  (smiles)

Good, ‘cause World War Three is what we'll give 'em.

EXT. AIR FORCE ONE - EVENING

President Roberts walks out onto the exit ramp, along with several Secret Service Agents. A moment later, Hilliard and Tyson emerge and follow the President down the stairs where a SPECIAL SECURITY AGENT is waiting for them.

  HILLIARD

  (quietly)

  What have we got?

The Special Security Agent waits until the President and the Secret Service Agents have walked away.

  S.S. AGENT

The search team located what was left of our team. No survivors. No helicopter either.

  TYSON

  Timmerson, Mercer?

  S.S. AGENT

Not much left of either one.

  HILLIARD

Put out an A.P.B. on Walker with our number to call instead of the local authorities. Don't mention anything about the woman he's with. That'll enable us to determine which are the legitimate calls.

  S.S. AGENT

  Yes, sir.

  The Agent walks off.

  HILLIARD

  (to Tyson)

Assemble as many men as you can and be ready to move on the calls we'll get.

  TYSON

  Yes, sir.

  Tyson turns to leave.

  HILLIARD

Tyson, if you find him, kill him quickly, don't play with him...He's too dangerous and we're too close to the end to mess this up now.

  TYSON

  ...Yes, sir.

  Tyson walks off.

EXT. STEALTH HELO TWO - SUNSET

They have made it to Washington D.C. as the sun begins to set.

  WALKER

  (points)

  ...Over there.

Richardson pilots the helicopter over to a secluded area of rundown vacant buildings and lands on the roof of a six story abandoned apartment complex.

  WALKER

Perfect. How much fuel do we have left?

  RICHARDSON

  (looking at gauge)

Not a whole lot, but enough to get us to the White House.

  WALKER

Okay, let’s go find a place and grab some sleep.

  RICHARDSON

  (stretches)

  Sounds good to me.

They exit the helicopter which is still in stealth mode. Walker runs his hand over the nearly invisible surface of it.

  WALKER

We'll have to remember which building this baby is parked at.

Richardson holds up the key to the helicopter. There is a small LCD screen at the end of the key.

  RICHARDSON

  (smiles)

Our coordinates are stored in the ignition key. We just follow the screen prompts. Welcome to the twenty first century, Walker.

Walker and Richardson begin descending the fire escape.

  WALKER

Well, a twentieth century bed will do just fine right now. I'm beat...

  EXT. MOTEL

The area is run down with despair and decay. Walker and Richardson emerge from an alley and walk over to a cheap looking two story motel.

The MOTEL RECEPTIONIST is sitting inside his office, watching a show on his small portable television.

Richardson KNOCKS on the window to get his attention. He slowly gets out of his chair and walks over to the window.

  MOTEL RECEPTIONIST

  ...Yeah?

  RICHARDSON

  We'd like a room.

  MOTEL RECEPTIONIST

Thirty for the hour or fifty for the night.

  RICHARDSON

  For the night, please.

She slides the money through the opening in the glass. The Motel Receptionist hands her the key.

  MOTEL RECEPTIONIST

Checkout is eleven AM sharp. I see you runnin' tricks outta the room I call the cops unless you float me a Franklin.

Walker and Richardson head for the room.

  RICHARDSON

  Classy joint.

  WALKER

  Hey, you picked it.

  INT. MOTEL/OFFICE

The Motel Receptionist sits back down to watch the television. The reception is snowy and the image fades in and out. He tries to adjust the cable attached to the back of it.

  MOTEL RECEPTIONIST

  (irritated)

...Come on you piece of crap!

  The channel fades out completely.

  MOTEL RECEPTIONIST

  Cocksucker!

He flips through the channels until he finally finds a fairly clear channel that is broadcasting the news.

  MOTEL RECEPTIONIST

  (disgusted)

Of course the freakin' news comes in great.

>   The picture of Walker on the screen catches his attention. He quickly turns up the volume.

  NEWSCASTER (V.O.)

...Seen this man, please contact the authorities by calling the phone number at the bottom of the screen. He is wanted in connection with the assassination attempt on President Roberts and is considered armed and extremely dangerous. There is a reward of one hundred thousand dollars for information leading to his arrest.

He looks up from the television and watches Walker and Richardson enter room number thirteen, then looks back at the television.

  NEWSCASTER (V.O.)

...He is believed to be in the Washington D.C. area or en route.

  MOTEL RECEPTIONIST

  One hundred gee's?!

  (picks up phone)

Buddy, you just made me one rich fella!

He begins dialing the number from the television screen.

  INT. MOTEL ROOM NUMBER THIRTEEN

Richardson is sprawled out on top of the bed, while Walker is trying to get the television to work. He fiddles with the cable but there is nothing but snow on the screen.

  WALKER

  (frustrated)

It would be nice if we could find out anything from the news.

  RICHARDSON

  (smiles)

Give it up, Walker. That thing looks like it hasn't worked for about ten years. Just kick back and relax for a change. You don't want to be the first Warring Angel to die from a heart attack, do you?

He gives up and sits down on the bed.

  WALKER

No, I guess that would be a pretty lame way to go.

She smiles as he lays back on his side of the bed.

  RICHARDSON

Lame is the correct word. So, tell me; what's it like to have lived for so long.

  WALKER

  (long pause)

...Tiring, at times...Sad...Sad to watch as society deteriorates and know that I helped cause it... Frustrating, to watch people that have the potential to do so much good, do so much evil instead.

  RICHARDSON

People can change for the better. Look at you...

  WALKER

  (sarcastic)

Yeah, look at me...I'm the same person that I've always been, Susan...A killer. Always have been, always will be.

She rolls over onto her stomach and STARES at him.

  RICHARDSON

But, you're not the same person you were a long time ago, Michael. You could have fought for the other side. You could be standing next to Hilliard right now, or worse, you could be Hilliard...But you're not...You're fighting for all of us...The woman you loved that died...She saw the good in you...And I see it too.

She lays her head on his chest and shuts her eyes. After a moment he places his arm around her and he closes his eyes.

  WALKER

  (pause; speaks softly)

  ...Thank you.

  EXT. MOTEL - NIGHT

The Motel Receptionist JUMPS up out of his seat when several dark cars pull up next to his office.

Tyson and several well-armed Special Security Agents emerge from the cars. Tyson walks up to the office.

  MOTEL RECEPTIONIST

It's about damn time, I called you people over three hours ago!

  TYSON

  (bad mood)

It takes time to investigate twenty false sightings. Now, it would be in your very best interest if you would stop complaining and let me in so I can review your security camera tape.

The Motel Receptionist unlocks the office door and swings it open so Tyson can enter.

  MOTEL RECEPTIONIST

Hey, pal, relax, don't get your panties all in a bunch.

  INT. MOTEL ROOM NUMBER THIRTEEN

Walker and Richardson are lying in bed asleep. Her head is still on his chest.

  Walker suddenly sits up.

  RICHARDSON

  (confused)

  What's the matter?

  WALKER

  Bad feeling.

He quickly gets out of bed and looks out the window and SEES Tyson and the others at the office.

  WALKER

  They're here! Get up!

She quickly gets out of bed.

  INT. CHEAP MOTEL/OFFICE

Tyson and the Motel Receptionist are viewing the security tape when Walker and Richardson appear on the screen.

  MOTEL RECEPTIONIST

There he is...See, that's the guy from the news.

Tyson's face lights up at the sight of the image on the screen.

  TYSON

  (smiling)

  Got you, Walker...Where are they?

  MOTEL RECEPTIONIST

  Room thirteen.

  Tyson starts to walk away.

  MOTEL RECEPTIONIST

Hey, hey, hey, what about my reward, petunia? Where's my reward?

Tyson pulls out a handgun with a silencer attached to it and points it at the very shocked Motel Receptionist.

  TYSON

  ...Here's your reward.

He FIRES a single bullet into the chest of the Motel Receptionist, then turns around and walks outside.

  EXT. MOTEL/OFFICE

Tyson motions with his hand and the Agents spread out. Several Agents carrying rocket launchers move into position next to Tyson.

  TYSON

  Room number thirteen.

The Agents lock their guidance systems onto the room.

Tyson turns to an Agent standing nearby with a walkie-talkie in his hand.

  TYSON

I want a car in each alley in case he tries to escape.

The Agent relays the message over the walkie-talkie.

Tyson turns back to the Agents with the rocket launchers.

  TYSON

  Fire at will.

  The two Agents FIRE.

  INT. MOTEL ROOM NUMBER THIRTEEN

Walker sees the missiles being FIRED. He turns and JUMPS toward Richardson to try and shield her.

  WALKER

  Get down!

He TACKLES her as the missiles hit the room and EXPLODE.

  EXT. MOTEL ROOM NUMBER THIRTEEN

  Tyson LAUGHS out loud.

  TYSON

  Now, that's a wakeup call!

Several Agents follow Tyson as he walks toward the room. He motions for the Agents to stop.

  TYSON

I'll handle it from here, gents.

  AGENT

  But, sir, Mister Hilliard said...

  TYSON

  (cuts him off)

I don't give a rat's ass what the ol' man said. Walker is mine and mine alone.

Tyson walks away from the Agents. He cautiously strides through the hole in the door, then takes out his handgun.

  INT. MOTEL ROOM NUMBER THIRTEEN

The room is demolished. There is debris everywhere and most of the ceiling has come down.

Tyson begins searching through the rubble.

  TYSON

Come out, come out, wherever you are, Walker...I do hope that you're still alive; it would be nothing short of a tragedy if I were cheated out of killing you myself.

He overturns a large chunk of ceiling and SEES one of Walker's legs. The rest of Walker's body is still underneath the rubble.

  TYSON

...Well, looks like I've found a leg...

Tyson overturns another large piece of ceiling and finds Walker, conscious, bloody, and very angry.

  WALKER

  Here's the other.

Walker THRUSTS his leg at Tyson with all his might and connects with his chest, sending him flying out of the room.

  EXT. MOTEL ROOM NUMBER THIRTEEN

Tyson flies over the startled Agents and lands on the windshield of a parked car twenty feet away.

The Agents OPEN FIRE into the room as they pull back to defensive positions.

  INT. MOTEL ROOM NUMBER THIRTEEN

Bullets RICOCHET through the room as Walker digs through the rubble, looking for Richardson. He is muttering "NO" as he frantically searches. He finally finds her lifeless
body.

  WALKER

  Oh God, no...don't be dead...

He cradles her body in his arms as he checks for a pulse.

  WALKER

Please don't die...please don't let her be dead, God...

He looks at her, tears streaming down his face and knows that she is gone. He starts to make a low GROWLING SOUND that builds until he finally releases his anger by YELLING at the top of his lungs.

  EXT. MOTEL ROOM NUMBER THIRTEEN

The Agents have stopped firing as they listen to Walker YELL. More than one have frightened looks on their faces.

Tyson is on top of the car, grasping his chest and trying to sit up. He is fighting for breath and trying to speak. He takes a deep breath and is finally able to get the words out.

  TYSON

  (gasping)

...Don't just stand there...blow that bloody bastard to Hell! Bring the hotel down on him!

  INT. MOTEL ROOM NUMBER THIRTEEN

Walker hears Tyson's command. He gently lays Richardson down, then gets up and runs toward the wall that separates room thirteen from room fourteen.

  EXT. MOTEL ROOM NUMBER THIRTEEN

The Agents FIRE their rocket launchers at the room.

  INT. ROOMS FOURTEEN THROUGH NINETEEN

Walker is YELLING as he CRASHES through the wall. The missiles EXPLODE behind him in room thirteen.

He CRASHES through the walls of room's fourteen through nineteen until he finally BURSTS through the outer wall and lands in an alley.

  EXT. ALLEY

He barely makes it to his feet when he is spotted by two Agents parked in a car, guarding the alley.

The car begins racing toward him and the Agent in the passenger seat leans out the window and FIRES his gun at Walker.

  WALKER

  (rage)

You wanna play a game of chicken?! Come on!

Walker runs toward the car as fast as he can.

The Passenger sits back in his seat and prepares for impact.

Walker JUMPS toward the car at the last instant and CRASHES through the windshield head first, his body SLAMMING into the Driver and the Passenger, killing them instantly. The car CRASHES into a wall and comes to a stop.

Walker emerges from the car and drags himself down the alley. Even though badly injured, the expression on his face is of pure anger.

  EXT. MOTEL ROOM NUMBER THIRTEEN

Smiling, Tyson stands in front of the demolished room and marvels at the destruction.

  TYSON

Now, that is one bloody beautiful sight!

An AGENT runs up to Tyson.

  AGENT

  Sir!

  TYSON

Not now, can't you see I'm enjoying the moment?

  AGENT

But, sir, we just found two of our men dead in the alley around back.

  TYSON

  (grabs Agent's throat)

Don't joke with me about this!

  AGENT

  (gasping)

...I'm not, sir...There was a hole in the wall...near the car...

SIRENS can be heard off in the distance.

  TYSON

  (stunned)

How?...How can he still be alive?

  AGENT

I don't know, sir...But we should go before the police arrive...

Several moments pass before Tyson regains himself. He lets go of the Agent's throat and storms back to his car.

  TYSON

...Search every street and every alley! Split up and find that bloody son of a bitch! Move!

Tyson and the Agents quickly pile into the cars. Tires SQUEAL as the vehicles head off in different directions.

  INT. TYSON'S CAR

Tyson's phone RINGS. He looks at the screen and SEES that it is Hilliard calling.

  TYSON

Bloody friggin' wonderful! Just what I need right now!

  He answers the phone.

  TYSON

  ...Hello, sir...Yes, he's still alive!

  EXT. STORAGE CENTER - SUNRISE

Walker is climbing up and over the chain link fence that surrounds the storage center.

  INT. STORAGE CENTER

Walker finds storage space number twenty. He lifts up the handle on the metal sliding door with enough force to break the lock on it.

  INT. STORAGE SPACE NUMBER TWENTY

He walks in and SLAMS the door down behind him, then begins pulling off sheets that cover tables. Under the sheets are a large selection of weapons.

He changes into a dark commando outfit he pulled out of a locker, then methodically picks out several weapons and lays them on a table.

He begins by strapping two handguns in shoulder holsters on, then places two more handguns in belt holsters at the small of his back, and the last two handguns in the holsters by his stomach.

He then straps on a grenade belt along with several ammunition belts.

He hangs a machine gun on each shoulder by their straps.

Finally, he puts on a long dark overcoat, which conceals all the weapons, then places a dark baseball style cap on to conceal his face.

EXT. MOTEL ROOM NUMBER THIRTEEN - LATER

Several FIREMEN and POLICE OFFICERS are on the scene. The Firemen are hosing down the motel when the wind begins to suddenly BLOW fiercely, driving them back from the motel.

  FIREMAN

Cripes, where the hell'd this wind come from?!

  INT. MOTEL ROOM NUMBER THIRTEEN

The wind WHIPS through the room like a tornado. The room begins to slowly get BRIGHTER until it is finally bathed in the BRIGHTEST WHITE LIGHT imaginable. A thunderclap is HEARD.

Suddenly, there is movement beneath the smoking rubble. Richardson's hand emerges from under the debris.

EXT. WHITE HOUSE - LATE MORNING

There are thousands of people gathered outside the White House. They are PROTESTING the bombing of South Korea and YELLING for blood.

Security is very tight. Each Agent has a hand held metal detector and is searching for anyone carrying a weapon.

  EXT. WHITE HOUSE/BALCONY

Hilliard is standing on the balcony watching the crowd.

President Roberts is in the room behind Hilliard, along with a tailor helping him with his tie.

  PRESIDENT ROBERTS

What seems to be the mood of the crowd, Victor?

  HILLIARD

Same as the rest of the world; they want vengeance.

Hilliard turns around and walks inside.

  INT. WHITE HOUSE

Hilliard stops and stands in the doorway.

  HILLIARD

The question is; do you want the same, Mister President?

  PRESIDENT ROBERTS

  Of course I do...But...

  HILLIARD

  (cuts him off)

No but’s...You must give the people what they want, Mister President. They want an eye for an eye. You must retaliate or our other enemies will think we are weak, as I have said before. And, we can't have the image of a weak America at this time, sir. We must send a message and that message is a retaliatory nuclear strike.

  PRESIDENT ROBERTS

...You're right, Victor. You have a way of always making me see things clearly. God help us all, you're right...

Hilliard turns and faces the crowd. A smile creeps across his face.

  HILLIARD

...Never fear, Mister President; God will always be there to help us.

  EXT. WHITE HOUSE/STREET

Walker is making his way through the crowd toward the White House.

He is stopped by two SECRET SERVICE AGENTS when their metal detectors jump off the scale. They place their hands on their weapons.

  SECRET SERVICE AGENT #1

Sir, slowly take your hands out of your pockets and open your jacket!

Walker takes his hands out of his pockets.

  WALKER

I don't think you'll like what you see...

Walker opens the coat and lets it drop to the ground, then quickly draws two handguns bef
ore the Agents can react. He FIRES several rounds into the Agents, killing them.

Bystanders SCREAM and run for cover.

Several Agents YELL out "Shooter" and scramble toward Walker. A few Agents get SHOTS OFF before being gunned down by Walker as he continues walking toward the White House.

  EXT. WHITE HOUSE/BALCONY

Hilliard has witnessed the events from the balcony.

  HILLIARD

  ...Tyson, get out here!

Hilliard watches as a tank and several armored cars move into position in front of the main gate to the White House.

Tyson runs out onto the balcony and watches the action.

  TYSON

...He won't make it by that tank...Not even he is that good.

  EXT. WHITE HOUSE/STREET

SHOOTING his way through several Agents, Walker finally notices the tank and armored cars.

He stops and stares at the firepower before him and knows that there is no way that he can survive. He takes a deep breath, lets it out, then drops his handguns and grabs the machine guns at his side.

He is about to fire when he HEARS a SWOOSHING noise above him.

Two guided missiles SLAM into the tank, destroying it.

Walker turns and looks up to see the faint SHIMMER of a Stealth Helicopter above him. A moment later, the cloaking device is deactivated.

Walker is shocked when he sees Richardson in the pilot seat.

She flashes him a smile, then turns her attention to the armored cars.

The armored cars begin FIRING at Richardson, but are quickly neutralized by several missiles from her helicopter.

  EXT. WHITE HOUSE/BALCONY

Hilliard and Tyson have watched the turn of events in shock.

  HILLIARD

...Yuh...You said the F.B.I. Woman was dead, Tyson!

  TYSON

She was, sir. Guess little ol’ Walker ain't the last Warring Angel anymore...

  EXT. WHITE HOUSE/STREET

A harness attached to a cable is lowered from the helicopter. Walker slips it on, along with a headset and microphone.

  RICHARDSON (O.S.)

I'm starting to lose count of how many times I've saved your butt!

  WALKER

  (shocked)

  ...Susan...I...

  RICHARDSON (O.S.)

  Later...Let's finish this thing!

  WALKER

...All right. Take me in fast toward the main balcony!

Walker is lifted off his feet as the helicopter rises and heads toward the White House. Both Walker and Richardson FIRE at the Agents as they streak through the air.

The helicopter kicks in its afterburners.

Hilliard and Tyson run inside and quickly shut the large bullet proof glass balcony doors.

  INT. WHITE HOUSE

Hilliard runs away from the glass doors.

  HILLIARD

  Buy me some time, Tyson!

  TYSON

You got it, ya bloody prick!

  EXT. STEALTH HELO TWO

Walker is pointing at the White House.

  WALKER

Soften up the doors for me!

The gatling gun spits out several hundred rounds into the glass doors, SPLINTERING them.

  WALKER

Don't slow down, keep heading for the balcony! Get ready to hit the brakes when I tell you to!

  EXT. WHITE HOUSE/BALCONY

The helicopter quickly approaches the White House.

  WALKER

  (yells)

  Now!

The helicopter abruptly slows down causing Walker to catapult toward the balcony.

He unlocks the buckle on the harness and flies through the air, CRASHING through the balcony doors.

  INT. WHITE HOUSE

Walker rolls for several feet before SLAMMING into an object. He looks up and SEES that the object is Tyson.

  TYSON

  (smiling)

I gotta be honest, Walker; I've been looking forward to this for a long time.

  EXT. WHITE HOUSE

The helicopter barely misses hitting the side of the building as it climbs sharply.

A heavily armed Combat Helicopter is there to greet Richardson when her helicopter flies up over the roof.

  RICHARDSON

  Oh, crap!

Richardson takes evasive action as the Combat Helicopter FIRES at her.

  INT. WHITE HOUSE

Walker is THROWN through a wall by Tyson.

Tyson KICKS the machine gun out of Walker's hand and delivers a PUNCH to his face, knocking him back to the floor.

  TYSON

You've made me look like an imbecile these last few days and now it's payback time!

He KICKS Walker in the face as he is trying to get up. Walker falls backwards and lands face first on the floor.

  TYSON

Come on, Walker, you're making this too easy! I was hoping you'd put up a better fight than this!

Tyson turns him over. Walker quickly pulls out the two handguns from his shoulder holsters and places them against Tyson's stomach.

  WALKER

Be careful what you wish for.

Walker RAPIDLY FIRES both clips into Tyson which sends him falling backwards to the floor.

Several Agents converge on the scene.

Walker drops the empty guns and pulls out the two handguns from the holsters behind his back as he rises. He begins FIRING at the Agents as they do the same. The room is RIDDLED WITH BULLETS.

When the last Agent falls, Walker turns his attention to Tyson, who is crawling off. He has left a long bloody trail behind him and is in obvious pain. He senses Walker behind him and turns over onto his back.

  WALKER

...Tell me, Tyson, how does it feel to be dragging your intestines across the floor? Does it hurt as bad as it looks, you son of a bitch?

  TYSON

...Gimme five minutes an' I'll be good as new an' wipin' the floor with you, Walker!

Walker grabs a grenade off his vest and pulls the pin out.

  WALKER

  I wish I had more time...you don't deserve a quick death.

He PUNCHES the grenade down into Tyson's stomach and pulls out an empty hand. Tyson has a frightened look on his face as he looks down at his stomach.

Walker turns around and walks away.

  TYSON

  Wuh...Walker?!

The grenade EXPLODES behind him, painting the walls red with Tyson's blood.

  EXT. STEALTH HELO TWO

The helicopter is weaving around buildings trying to shake the Combat Helicopter.

  INT. COMBAT HELICOPTER

There are two men in the helicopter, the COMBAT PILOT and the WEAPONS OPERATOR. The Weapon Operator's guided missile computer screen FLASHES.

  WEAPONS OPERATOR

  That's it, I got lock-on.

The Stealth Helicopter ducks around a building before the Combat Pilot can fire.

There is no sign of the Stealth Helicopter when the Combat Helicopter turns the corner of the building.

  COMBAT PILOT

  (looks around)

  ...Where the hell'd she go?

  WEAPONS OPERATOR

I've lost lock-on...She doesn't show up on any of my screens!

  COMBAT PILOT

  Switch to heat sensor.

  WEAPONS OPERATOR

  ...I've got a heat source...

  COMBAT PILOT

  Where?

  WEAPONS OPERATOR

  Behind us!

The Stealth Helicopter suddenly appears out of thin air as it's cloaking device is deactivated. The Stealth Helicopter FIRES it's gatling gun.

  WEAPONS OPERATOR

  Evade! Evade!

Several rounds hit the Combat Helicopter as it takes evasive action.

  EXT. WHITE HOUSE/BACKYARD LAWN

President Roberts is being ushered toward the Presidential Helicopter by a small army of SECRET SERVICE AGENTS. They quickly load the President into the helicopter.

  Hilliard RUNS up to the
helicopter, but is stopped by an AGENT when he tries to get aboard.

  HILLIARD

  Let me on, damn you!

  AGENT

Sorry, sir, but there's no room!

Hilliard grabs the machine gun out of the Agent's hand and OPENS FIRE on everyone inside the helicopter. Several Agents shield President Roberts with their bodies as the bullets TEAR through the helicopter.

  INT. PRESIDENTIAL HELICOPTER

Hilliard begins pulling the dead Agents out of the helicopter.

  HILLIARD

Looks like there's plenty of room to me now!

He uncovers President Roberts, who has been shot in his left shoulder.

  PRESIDENT ROBERTS

Victor, what in God's name are you doing?!

  HILLIARD

Believe me, it's not in God's name, idiot!

Hilliard FIRES SEVERAL ROUNDS into President Roberts, then points the gun to the head of the Pilot.

  HILLIARD

Get us airborne unless you'd like your brain to fertilize the lawn!

  EXT./INT. PRESIDENTIAL HELICOPTER

The helicopter lifts off the ground and starts its ascent.

Walker, RUNNING full speed, drops his handguns, JUMPS and grabs hold of the helicopter's landing skid. He pulls himself up onto the skid and crawls to the open side door.

  WALKER

  Hilliard!

  HILLIARD

  (surprised)

  Walker?! You son of a...

Hilliard aims the machine gun and FIRES. Walker lunges and SLAMS into Hilliard, causing him to FIRE SEVERAL ROUNDS up into the engine of the helicopter.

  The engine starts SMOKING.

Walker and Hilliard are wrestling for control of the gun when it GOES OFF, this time killing the Pilot.

The helicopter is out of control, sending Walker and Hilliard CRASHING to the floor.

  EXT. ABANDONED BUILDING

The building is being torn down and part of it has already been destroyed by a wrecking ball.

The Presidential Helicopter is spinning out of control and is torn apart when it CRASHES onto the roof. The fuel tanks EXPLODE, sending a fireball into the sky.

Several large chunks of concrete fall off the unstable building and CRASH to the ground.

  INT. STEALTH HELO TWO

Richardson is still in pursuit of the Combat Helicopter when the low fuel warning light begins to FLASH on the instrument panel.

  RICHARDSON

  ...Lovely.

She switches to stealth mode and turns the helicopter around.

  INT. COMBAT HELICOPTER

The Weapons Operator is watching his radar screen and SEES the stealth helicopter break off engagement.

  WEAPONS OPERATOR

She's turning around and heading back toward the White House...

The Combat Pilot turns the helicopter around.

  COMBAT PILOT

Shoulda killed us when you had the chance, lady.

  EXT. ABANDONED BUILDING/ROOF

Hilliard is KICKED out of the wreckage by Walker. He flies through the air and lands several feet away.

  Walker emerges from the wreckage.

Hilliard rises to his feet and picks up a piece of the rear rotary blade lying on the roof and holds it like a sword. He SWINGS the blade at Walker, who barely ducks in time.

  HILLIARD

...You did it, Walker...Somehow you beat us!

He takes another SWING at Walker, this time the blade CUTS across his back, causing him to fall to a knee in pain.

  HILLIARD

Only thing I've got to look forward to now is the pleasure I'll get from killing you!

He raises the blade over his head and SWINGS it down at Walker, who blocks it with a piece of steel piping.

  WALKER

Talking about it and doing it are two different things!

Walker KICKS Hilliard, causing him to fall to the ground. Walker stands and SWINGS the pipe at Hilliard's head. Hilliard rolls out of the way just in time and the pipe takes a bite out of the concrete.

  INT. STEALTH HELO TWO

Richardson is hovering over the White House looking for any sign of Walker when she spots SMOKE off in the distance about a mile away.

  RICHARDSON

  Walker?

She guns the engines and the helicopter heads for the smoke in the distance.

  EXT. ABANDONED BUILDING/ROOF

SPARKS FLY as the blade and pipe CONNECT with each other repeatedly as Walker and Hilliard exchange blows.

Walker KNOCKS the blade out of Hilliard's hands and is about to swing the pipe again when part of the roof he is standing on gives way and his leg falls into a hole.

Hilliard TACKLES him, knocking the pipe out of his hands.

  INT. STEALTH HELO TWO

As Richardson gets closer, she spots the wreckage of the Presidential Helicopter and Hilliard fighting with Walker.

  RICHARDSON

  There you are!

The helicopter suddenly lurches to one side as it is HIT by GUNFIRE from the Combat Helicopter, causing the cloaking device to SHORT OUT.

  RICHARDSON

  Dammit!

  INT. COMBAT HELICOPTER

The Weapons Operator tries to get a lock on her.

  WEAPONS OPERATOR

She's moved away from Hilliard, you're cleared for heat seekers!

The Stealth Helicopter drops down behind the building.

  COMBAT PILOT

  Dammit, I didn't get a shot off!

The Combat Pilot takes the helicopter down to the fourth floor of the building, trying to spot the Stealth Helicopter on the other side by looking through the broken out windows.

After several moments, he spots the Stealth Helicopter at the same time that Richardson spots him. They both OPEN FIRE on each other with their gatling guns.

The bullets STRIKE the insides of the building as they shoot through it at each other.

The Stealth Helicopter ducks out of sight.

  WEAPONS OPERATOR

Almost got lock...Another second or two...

Both helicopters begin a game of cat and mouse as they search for each other.

  EXT. ABANDONED BUILDING/ROOF

Hilliard SWINGS Walker by the arm and lets go, sending him flying through the air toward the side of the building. Walker lands on the roof and slides to the edge, barely stopping himself from falling over the side.

He looks down and SEES the Combat Helicopter hovering a few floors directly below him.

He turns over just as Hilliard POUNCES on him. Hilliard tries to push him off the building when he SEES the spinning blades of the Combat Helicopter below. Walker grabs him.

  WALKER

  ...You'll come with me!

Hilliard pauses and Walker seizes the opportunity by KICKING him off of him.

Walker stands and picks up a large chunk of concrete.

  INT. COMBAT HELICOPTER

The Stealth Helicopter comes into view and the Weapons Operator's radar screen locks onto its heat signature.

  WEAPONS OPERATOR

  That's it, she's locked! Fire!

  EXT. ABANDONED BUILDING/ROOF

Walker drops the large chunk of concrete off the building and it falls onto the Combat Helicopter's main rotary blade causing several blades to BREAK OFF.

The Combat Helicopter FIRES several missiles which SLAM into the building because of the sudden shift of the helicopter, caused by the concrete hitting it's rotary blades.

One missile makes it through the building, but the Stealth Helicopter pulls up just in time for the missile to miss.

The Combat Helicopter spins out of control and CRASHES into the building, EXPLODING on impact.

The EXPLOSION causes several large sections of the facade to fall away.

  EXT. HEAT SEEKING MISSILE

The heat seeking missile makes a slow arcing turn and heads back toward the Stealth Helicopter which is hovering above the building.

  INT. STEALTH HELO TWO

Richardson LOCKS the gatling gun onto Hilliard.

  RICHARDSON

  Got you, you bastard...

She is about to fire when the missile SLAMS into the rear of the helicopter, destroying the entire back end.

The main body of the helicopter CRASHES onto the roof, causing the building to become even more unstable.

  EXT. ABANDONED BUILDING/ROOF

Walker is staring at the fiery wreckage of the helicopter.

  WALKER

  Susan?!

Hilliard picks up a long piece of rusted plumbing pipe and CRUSHES Walker over the head with it. He falls to the ground as Hilliard repeatedly SWINGS the pipe down on him.

  HILLIARD

  (furious)

She's gonna die, just like you, Walker! Just like you!

  INT. STEALTH HELO TWO

Richardson is pinned under wreckage. She SEES that there are still a few instruments that have power, one of which is the gatling gun, which is still LOCKED onto Hilliard. She tries desperately to reach for the firing button.

  EXT. ABANDONED BUILDING/ROOF

Hilliard keeps SWINGING the rusted pipe down until it finally BREAKS in half from the force of the blows. Walker is barely conscious.

  HILLIARD

  (in amazement)

...I've said it before...You have an impressive spirit...

He picks up a large piece of concrete and raises it over his head.

  HILLIARD

...But, I'm the one that's gonna crush it!

He is about to swing the chunk of concrete down onto Walker's head when his chest EXPLODES outward as several hundred bullets RIP through him. He has a shocked look on his face as he falls to his knees and looks down at the gaping hole in his chest and stomach area. He has almost been torn in half.

Walker struggles to his feet and STARES at Hilliard.

  HILLIARD

  (can barely talk)

Yuh...You've won this time, Walker...But, there will be others like me...Someday...the War will start again...

  WALKER

...I know. Susan and I will be there when it does.

Hilliard falls over onto his side and dies.

Walker stares at him for several moments, then looks over at Richardson, still trapped in the helicopter. Both are bloody and in pain, but find it in themselves to smile.

  WALKER

  You did it, Susan.

  RICHARDSON

  We did it, Michael...

The building RUMBLES and finally begins to give way.

Walker tries to make it to Richardson, but the building COLLAPSES, sending up a HUGE DUST CLOUD.

  EXT. STREET

The dust blankets the area as POLICE arrive.

Several moments pass before two figures leaning on each other emerge from the haze. It is Richardson and Walker.

  RICHARDSON

  …Saved you again.

  WALKER

I think I should get credit for this one.

  RICHARDSON

  (smiling)

As I practically carry you through the rubble.

  WALKER

  (smiling)

  Show-off.

A POLICE OFFICER runs up to them.

  POLICE OFFICER

  Jesus, you folks okay?!

Richardson pulls out her F.B.I. badge and flashes it to him.

  RICHARDSON

...I'm with the F.B.I., take your men and cordon off the area. We've got a lot of homeless around here that might have been in the building. Look for any survivors.

  POLICE OFFICER

  Yes, ma'am.

The Police Officer runs off. Walker and Richardson continue to lean against each other as they walk down the street.

  WALKER

  Smooth.

  RICHARDSON

  (smiles)

What would you do without me?

  WALKER

...Hope I never have to find out.

They disappear into the thick dust that fills the area.

  DISSOLVE TO:

INT. LARGE DANCE HALL - NIGHT

It is New Year's Eve. The hall is filled to maximum capacity with festive PEOPLE. Music is BLARING and everyone is DANCING.

  RICHARDSON (O.S.)

You do realize that we're still wanted fugitives, right?

  WALKER (O.S.)

Nobody'll recognize us in this crowd, Susan. After tonight we'll keep a low profile for a couple decades; let things blow over. Get ready for the next War.

  RICHARDSON (O.S.)

You got a place in mind to hide out at?

  WALKER (O.S.)

  Not really. You?

Walker and Richardson are SLOW DANCING near a large screen monitor. Their injuries have healed and they are dressed up for a night on the town. Walker’s hair is cut short.

  RICHARDSON

I hear Aruba is nice this time of year.

  WALKER

  (smiles)

I like the way you think.

A special news bulletin FLASHES on the large monitor.

  NEWSCASTER

This late breaking news has just come in...In a surprising move, Kim-Jung-Choo has been overthrown as leader of North Korea by members of his cabinet along with backing by their military. The new leadership has also issued a formal apology for detonating the nuclear bomb over Seoul a few days ago. There has been no word yet from newly appointed President Baldwin, but it is expected that there will be no military action against North Korea in light of the recent turn of events. We'll have more news after the New Year's Eve countdown party, later tonight...

Walker and Richardson smile and keep on DANCING.

  WALKER

  I love a happy ending.

  RICHARDSON

  (smiles)

  Michael, you softie, you!

  WALKER

  What can I say?

The crowd begins to count down to midnight. Walker grabs Richardson by the waist and pulls her in close.

  RICHARDSON

Pretty smooth on the dance floor, too.

  WALKER

Only as good as my partner.

  RICHARDSON

Three seconds to midnight...You know what that means?

Walker dips her and holds her in that position. The clock STRIKES midnight and the confetti begins to fall.

  WALKER

  ...Yeah.

They kiss each other passionately as the crowd CHEERS in the New Year.

  FADE TO WHITE.

  END
