it.

Kara: (whistles) Wow, Lucy, that’s tall!

Poppy: (nods) Yeah it is Lily.

  They walk in.

They see a tall woman behind the desk with the boy in front. They appear to be in a big argument.

Boy: Please let me stay another month! I’ll pay double, triple! Next month!

Woman: (calmish) Now, Jack, you should know this by now! You’ve been here for seven years already. You know the rule-not enough money, no apartment.

Kara: (whispers) This could go on for a while, we’d better stop it now.

Kara walks up to the desk.

Kara: Excuse me, how much money are you missing, Jack?

  Jack looks at her strangely.

  Jack: $ 10.

Kara pulls a ten-dollar bill out of her pocket.

Kara: Here. (She gives it to him. He takes it slowly and gives it with the other money to the woman)

  They move to the side.

Jack: How can I ever thank you?

Kara: (smiles) You can watch my little sister Lucy for a minute while I get an apartment.

Kara walks over to the woman and says:

Kara: Excuse me, might I rent an apartment?

  The woman smiles.

Woman: My name is Lulyn, Lulyn Quoin and I own Yin Yang Apartments. What kind of apartment do you desire?

  Kara: I’d like a two-bed apartment please.

  Lulyn: Okay, please sign here.

She holds out a clipboard and with names on it and a pen. Kara writes carefully: Lily Holland and returns the pen.

Lulyn: Now all you need to do is put a payment of $10 for the first month because the monthly pay was yesterday.

Kara puts her hands under the desk and creates money out of thin air. Jack gaps in astonishment.

  To Poppy he asks:

Jack: Is she always like this?

  Poppy: Yep!

  Kara hands Lulyn the money.

Lulyn: All right, monthly pay is $100, and your room is on the 13 floor.

  She hands her a key.

  Lulyn: 13B actually.

  Kara: Ok, Thanks!

Lulyn: Alrighty then, see you next month!

Kara walks back to Jack and Poppy.

  They get in the elevator.

Jack: You know, my apartment is 13A.

Kara: Are we the only ones on that floor?

Jack: (smiles) Yeah, nobody ever wants to be on the 13 floor-it’s considered unlucky.

Kara: (laughs) Then I hope we are really lucky!

They reach their floor and get off.

Kara: Well, I guess I’ll see you tomorrow.

Jack: Wait, how did you create that money?

Kara: (shyly) Well, it was Majik.

  Jack: Magic?

  Kara: No, M-A-J-I-K.

Jack: Can you do it again next month for payment for us?

Kara: No, I can only do it for small amounts.

Jack: Well, then do it small for every day!

Kara: The more I make money, the less value it is.

  Jack: Oh.

  Jack: Well, see you tomorrow.

  Kara: Yeah.

Kara: What about if we did a Majik show on the street and you are my assistant?

  Jack: (excited) Yeah!

Kara: How about later today, after I get Poppy settled in to her new school?

  Jack: Ok!

  Kara: Bye.

  Jack: Bye.

They go into their separate rooms.

  Inside 13B:

You see a small apartment with a door to a balcony and a door that leads to the bathroom and a small dirty kitchenette and two tiny beds in the back of the apartment.

Poppy: Kara loves Jack! Kara loves Jack!

Kara: (embarrassed) Poppy! I asked you not to call me Kara before I called you Poppy!

Poppy: (not sorry at all) Sorry Kara.

Kara loves Jack! Kara loves Jack!

Kara: (blushing) Oh be quiet Poppy.

She walks around and sets the bag down on the floor near the bed and uses Majik to make the beds bigger and the kitchen cleaner.

Kara: (More composed) Now Lucy, in two minutes I will take you to your new school, so would you clean your self up?

Grumbling, Poppy goes into the bathroom.

  Poppy: Eeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

She runs out of the bathroom.

Kara looks up from her work, she is on the floor, unpacking the bag they brought.

Kara: (patiently trying not to laugh) Yes, Poppy?

Poppy: (shaking) There is a big scary spider in the bathroom.

  Kara: (laughs) Just a spider?

  Poppy nods.

Kara: From how scared you are I assumed it was a big scary lion or something.

Poppy is trying not to smile.

Kara: (gets up and brushes her jeans off) Well, if it’s just a spider, Majik can take care of it easily.

She goes in and you the dim and dirty bathroom. With a wave of Kara’s hand, the bathroom is sparking and clean.

Kara: (brushes her hands together) Well, that’s done. Poppy, NOW can you clean up?

Poppy:(hands clasped behind her back) Yes, Kara.

Kara continues unpacking and cleans the room even more. When she gets to the painting, she hangs it up on the back wall behind the beds. Then she puts the bag away under one of the beds.

Poppy comes out looking the cleanest we have ever seen her.

Kara: (looks at her) Well, Poppy, I see you cleaned up.

Poppy: (blushing with a cute twist and a smile) Yeah I guess I did.

Kara: (stands) I’ll go wash up now.

She goes into the bathroom. Poppy goes out to the garden. In a minute a clean Kara’s head appears in the doorway and says:

Kara: Ok Poppy, it’s time to go.

Poppy follows her out of the balcony.

The screen goes black. Then the words “One Hour Later…” Appear on the screen. Fade to Kara coming out of the Elevator. She goes over to 13A and knocks on the door. Jack opens the door and sees her standing there.

  Jack: Oh hi.

Kara: (impatiently) Well Jack, are you ready?

He looks confused but then it dawns on him.

Jack: Oh yeah, you mean the magic show?

Kara: Of course! And it’s Majik not magic!

  Jack: Right, sorry I forgot.

Kara: Well come on then! Lets go!

She practically drags him out of the doorway into the hall.

  Jack: Whoa, ok then.

He locks the door and they go down the elevator.

  Later…

Kara drags Jack to a street corner. She sets him down and he struggles to his feet as fast as he can making sure no one saw him. Kara sets up the stand. It looks like a small caravan with a small lemonade stand like area.

By now a crowd has gathered.

Kara does some small tricks that are usually then turns to the hard and unusual.

Kara: (to the crowd) Alright! I shall now saw Jack here, in half!

  The crowd starts whispering.

  Jack: Uh Lily?

Kara: (Whispering) It’s going to be fine!

Kara pulls a box out of the stand. The crowd oohs and aahs.

Kara grabs Jack and pushes him into the box.

She grabs a knife and cuts the box open. Inside you see half of Jack, but in reality he is standing beside Kara, invisible, his mouth gaping. Kara seals the box up and Jack is in there. He gets up, pretending to rub his stomach. Kara collects the money and they leave.

Jack: (astonished) How did you do that?

  Kara:(shrugged) Majik.

They reach the Apartment building. It’s already dark. Kara remembers Poppy and runs to get her saying a quick goodnight to Jack.

The scene goes dark for a few seconds. Then the words A Few Months Later appear on the screen.

The scene opens with women, Caya, pacing. Analaya and Benalina stand behind her, cowering.

Caya: I have spent many months searching for them and with your limited powe
rs (Which I gave you two from my own stores) [She glares at them] and this is how you repay me?!

  Analaya steps forward.

Analaya: Mother, we tried our hardest!!

Benalina: (Steps forward too) Yes Mother, we did!

Caya: Quiet, my pretty children, I’m thinking. Hmm… Hmm… Meet her… No…No… Call her…THAT’S IT!!

  Analaya: (Shyly) What’s it!?

Caya: (Ignores her) I’ll call her with Majik.

She leaves, shutting and locking the door behind her. You hear the lock click in place.

  Benalina groans.

  Benalina: Aw, man!!

Analaya: (Gloomily) Yeah, we’re stuck here.

Scene switches to Kara, at the park by the apartment tower, watching Poppy splash in the fountain shouting,

  Poppy: Whee!! (Laughs) Whee!!

Kara smiles, gleefully at Poppy (Well, not gleefully, more like happily)

Kara’s smile saddens. Tears cross through her eyes.

Kara: Oh, Jack. Why aren’t you here yet?

Kara freezes. Her eyes go wide. Her arm goes from her side to stretching towards Poppy. Poppy freezes, mid-laugh, eyes still sparkling with laughter, the water floating above her in an arc. Kara moves her hands, muttering a spell of sorts. Poppy shoots from the fountain and into Kara’s arms.

Kara: (Muttering) With this spell, I say now, take good Poppy to our new home, our safe haven.

And with that, Poppy shimmered, and disappeared.

Kara: (Still whispering) Oh, I wish I had taken the time to secure Jack’s room too. Caya will target him if she finds out anything about him.

The air shimmers around Kara and nearly disappears. Kara has just enough time to stand up, and say some spell that anchors the ground around her. The air glows and suddenly Kara is not in the park anymore. She is in an endless white space. A woman shimmers and appears in front of her.

Caya: (Smiles wickedly) Well, well, Kara. We meet again.

Kara: (crosses her arms) And just what do you think you are doing here?!

Caya laughs, a truly frightening sound.

Caya: Well, of course I need to tell you that we are moving, dear. But I think you already knew that.

Kara: What makes you think that?

  Caya smiles.

Caya: You think you’re so brilliant, eh? Well you’re not.

  Kara looks confused.

Caya: (Sighs dramatically) (Under her breath) And to think you the smart one.

Caya: (She looks exasperated) You left your Majik copy of the document in the wastebasket.

  Kara looks surprised.

Kara: What!? No, I didn’t. (Suspiciously) You threw it away.

Caya: (Waves her hand vaguely) THAT, was only to confuse you.

Kara looks like she swallowed a pit bull.

Caya: (Laughs wickedly) Of course, my dear. Now, don’t you want to know where we will be moving?

  Kara: Not particularly.

  Caya: Paris!!

  Kara looks disgusted.

Kara: Why would we be moving there?

Caya: (Looks surprised) Paris is life! (Nearly jumping in the air)

  Kara shrinks back a bit.

Kara: Okay (drawn out)… What would we be doing there?

Caya: Not you, you and Poppy are our servants.

  Kara explodes.

Kara: (Yelling) WHAT!!! POPPY AND I ARE NOT YOUR SERVANTS, LOOK AT THE SHEET, THE LAW!!! EVEN THAT SAYS THAT WE CANNOT BE YOUR SERVANTS ANYMORE!

Caya waves her hand and moves her mouth. Kara’s anger visibly disappears slightly.

  Kara glares at her.

Kara: You dare to use the divine words against me?

  Caya laughs.

Caya: What’s the point of words if you don’t use them?

Kara: (Snarls her words) What’s the point of servants if they never obey you?

Caya looks shocked for a moment. Then she smiles.

  Caya: Why not?

Kara looks mystified. Then her eyes narrow.

Kara: (Warily) So, why are you here?

  Caya laughs.

Caya: I though you would never ask.

Caya: We, well, my daughters and I, need you and Poppy in Paris to get our clothing from the dressmakers and fit us. Also [She leans close to Kara who backs away a bit], we need your Majik to get to Paris and to brainwash you and Poppy.

Kara: (Shocked) What?! You want MY Majik to help brainwash Poppy and I? Never.

Caya: (Clearly disappointed) Oh well. I guess I’d better take someone you love. Hmm… Not Poppy. She’s too heavily guarded. [Kara relaxes a bit] Hmm… how about Jack Bakerson, the boy next door? [Kara winces visibly and her eyes squeeze shut for a moment. Caya sees this and smiles]

Caya: Ah, I see I’ve hit a nerve. He’s the one I’ll take. She disappears with a crack.

  Kara: No!

The scene goes white for a few seconds but not long enough for the viewers to suspect anything. Then Kara appears on the screen and you see that we are on floor thirteen of the Yin-Yang apartments.

  Kara: No! JACK!!!

She flings the door open to 13A. Jack is staring at the door, technically now staring at Kara, with a look of surprise on his face.

  Jack: Wha…

Kara’s face relaxes when she sees Jack.

  Kara: Oh Jack…

Caya appears in the room with a triumphant look on her face. It disappears when she sees Kara.

  Caya: How…?

Kara: Never mind. Now stop and take me instead.

  Jack turns to Kara.

Jack: What is going on Lily?

Kara: (Turns to him) Oh, Jack.

Caya takes that opportunity to remove Jack from the room. He basically shimmers and disappears.

  Kara: NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

  Caya: Oh, yes.

Her form breaks into a thousand pieces.

Kara falls to her knees and starts to cry. Poppy appears behind her and hugs her. Kara hugs her back.

The scene shifts to Caya’s mansion, well technically the Zzynj mansion. Then it shifts inside. Caya is carrying Jack in a bubble in front of her. Jack apparently tries to speak, but the bubble prevents him. (i.e. His mouth moves) They reach a room that you have never seen before. There is a sign on it that reads: DANGER! Turn back now! This is the… vines cut off the rest of the sign. Caya opens it.

Caya: In you go! [Throws Jack in the room]

  Jack: Oof. [He looks around]

The room is a jungle complete with birdcalls and animals lurking in the shadows.

  Jack: Uh oh.

He walks around a bit. It is huge.

Jack: (murmuring) Maybe I should stay close to the door.

He wanders around by the door and finds a tree with a plant growing almost up to it. He looks up at the “Sky”.

Jack: It’s getting kind of dark; I’d better find a place to spend the night.

He pulls hard on the viney plant. It’s a door.

  Jack gasps.

He steps in. It has a maple treetop, back and side, with a vine door, moss floor and a green plant on the sides next to the walls. Jack sits on the moss with the maple tree at his back.

Jack: Maybe now I can get some sleep.

  We watch him fall asleep.

Owls hoot in the branches above him. Wolves howl. The screen goes black.

Switch to a crying and worried Kara in 13A.

Poppy: Kara, what’s wrong? And where is Jack?

  Kara sobs even harder.

Kara: It was Caya. She needs my Majik to get to Paris-oh by the way we are moving there if as servants if I don’t stop her-and to wipe our minds of the power to use Majik and become shells to do Caya and her daughters bidding.

Poppy: That’s horrible! How can we stop her?

Kara: I’m not sure yet but she has Jack! We’ve got to save him!

  Poppy: Yeah. Let’s go!

Kara stands up and Poppy follows suit.

Kara: Now Poppy, hold on to me. It’s going to be a rough ride.

/>   Poppy grabs on to Kara and she (Kara) pulls her up into a piggyback ride.

Kara: To Caya’s house we go. Break all enchantments she, the evil one has place upon my house. Now the house is the Zzynj’s again and any other person never shall own it ever again!

A small boom occurs. Poppy and Kara disappear in a small puff of smoke.

Scene switch to the Zzynj mansion. A layer of dust from the last time we saw the mansion is gone. The mansion honestly looks bigger than the last time.

Zoom in on the lawn of the mansion. Kara and Poppy dissolve in to the scene on the lawn of mansion.

  Kara: Poppy lets go.

Poppy: (Hopefully excited) Do we get to sneak in?

  Kara laughs.

Kara: Yes Poppy, we do get sneak in. Now come on. And be quiet.

They sneak around the mansion until they get to a half buried door.

  Poppy: (Loudly) What’s that?

Kara: (Whispering) Shush, Poppy. It’s the door to the kitchen from outside. Mother and I, well, we hid this door before she… she… died. (Tears fill Kara’s eyes)

  Erika: (Voice) We certainly did.

  Kara whirls around.

  Kara: Mother?

  Erika: Yes Kara dear.

Erika appears, a ghost, shimmering in the air.

  Poppy’s eyes grow wide.

  Poppy: Mummy?

  Erika smiles.

Poppy goes and hugs Erika. Her tiny arms go right through Erika. Poppy starts to cry. Kara pulls Poppy out of their mother.

  Erika smiles sadly.

Erika: I’m sorry, Poppy; I need warning to be solid before you hug me.

Poppy stops crying and looks confused instead.

  Erika laughs, a tinkling sound.

Erika: I can only be solid for a short time. It drains my energy.

  Poppy: Oh.

Poppy breaks free of Kara and hugs Erika. Her arms don’t go through this time and Erika lifts the little girl and hugs her back.

Kara is more tentative (well, she hangs back for a second or two before hugging Erika)

Erika: Now girls, we need to get in there, stop Caya aaanndd save Jack.

  Kara blushes.

Poppy: Wait, you’re coming with us?!

  Erika smiles.

Erika: Yes. I can hold off my sister for  while you get Jack.

  Poppy grabs her mother’s arm.

Poppy: Can I come with you?

Erika looks at Kara. She nods.

Erika: (looks at Poppy and smiles) Yes you can, Poppy.

  Erika picks Poppy up.

  Kara: Okay. Lets get going.

She thrusts her hand at the door. It creaks open.

They walk inside, Erika and Poppy at the front and Kara in the back.

When they get inside Caya is waiting for them. Kara immediately turns invisible.

Caya: Well, I see someone is dead no longer.

  Erika sets Poppy down.

Erika: You are mistaken, sister, I am dead but my Majik is very much alive.

She thrusts her hands out and Caya is immediately wrapped in vines.

You see the invisible Kara sneak away and the camera follows her.

She runs along the corridors until she reaches the door that you saw Jack go in earlier.

  Kara: (muttering) Would she dare?

She presses her hand on the door. The area around her hand turns red.

  Kara looks surprised.

Kara: Of course. She would dare.

She sweeps the vines aside. The sign reads: DANGER! Turn back now! This is the Jungle Room- full of wild animals and birds that kill. TURN BACK NOW!!!!!

Kara unlocks the door with a twist of her arm and rushes in.

She comes to the vine door and looks at it curiously.

Kara: Is this a safe haven door? Could Jack have found it?

She pulls the vines aside. Jack is not in there.

  Jack: Huh? Lily?

Kara looks up. Jack is sitting in the branches of the maple tree above.

Immediately the invisibility disappears and Kara is standing there looking up at Jack.

Jack: Lily!! I knew you would come.

He gets off the maple tree and stands beside Kara.

Kara: Jack, we need to leave now. And hurry.

  Jack: Ok.

They run out of the Jungle Room, only stopping to shut and lock the door. Then they reach the foyer/main hall and stop short on the stair balcony. Caya and Erika are locked in a battle so fierce that Poppy, Analaya and Benalina are all cowering in the corner.

  Kara: Stop!

Caya and Erika freeze mid strike.

Kara moves her mother out of the way, quickly runs down the stairs and moves Analaya and Benalina to their mother’s side.

  Kara: Lets finish this now.

Kara and Caya each shoot at beam of forgetting at each other. Kara’s is as red as fire while Caya’s is as white as snow. Kara is wining.

Caya: (Panting) Oh, little girl, your Majik is not strong enough yet to banish our memories completely. I will rise again and I will be unstoppable!!

Kara shoots one last red bolt at Caya and the white disappears.

  Caya is standing
