  He walked past the container cabin a few times like a pacing tiger in his cage. He looked around to see if anyone was watching. He stopped, looked at the ground and scratched above his eyebrows. Suddenly, he started walking the other way, away from the cabin door, quickly stopped, and ran back to the door. He reduced his "knock-knock" to a mere "knock" and burst in the door. Meho jerked at the table and dropped a spoon-full of stew. The greasy liquid spilled on the edge of the rough wood.

  "What is it now, goddammit?" he yelled as he turned around.

  Mali stood in the doorway breathing deeply.

  "I’m… I’m coming to the promenade tomorrow!" he nearly yelled. "Do you need any help?" he added quietly.

  Meho laughed.

  "Ha, you’re something else! We don’t need anything. Just come."

  The doors closed and it seemed to Meho that his food suddenly tasted better.
