  "Not only that,” Zair added, “you should never take your life for granted. When you think there is nothing you or anybody can do to change it... POWIE, someone comes along and changes you in a way you never imagined possible."

  "Very good," The Omach said smiling. "Now chair I think it is time for you and Zair to go out and have a little fun. I am confident that both of you have all you need to enjoy the rest of this day. All that I ask is that you are back before dark."

  Zair and the chair looked at each other and then at the Omach. Zair was excited to show the chair around the meadow and to introduce him to all of his bird friends. On the other hand, the chair was a little reluctant to leave the security of the Omach's hut, knowing now that the world was more complex than he thought.

  "Come on chair," Zair said flying out the door and quickly back in. "There is nothing to worry about. I will be with you all of the time to make sure nothing bad happens."

  The chair looked at the Omach who was standing near the shelf where he kept the knife. "Go on chair, Zair has lived here in the meadow all of his life. You could not have a better guide."

  “Well all right." The chair started slowly for the door and the unforeseen wonders that were waiting.
