The Oracle had gone to the Far Sight Forest to find a way to make peace with the Concubines. Shrubby had come to assist and Hairy as a protector. Oh, what a bloody quest for peace theirs proved to be, for hundreds of Concubines were slain! Still, all was fortunate for a demon was vanquished and the Far Sight Forest had been saved. The Oracle was tempted, yet remained true to herself and was the stronger for it. Yes, the failed quest bore fruit, after all.
Shrubby watched Hairy sleep. One of her branches reached down and tickled his nose. She giggled when he winced and twitched. The Oracle thought to rebuke her... but laughed instead.
