“According to the report from Captain Maxwell, the aliens captured the crew of the ISS Apex, 25 years ago, believing them to be a dangerous threat. They forced Captain Russell to record a warning to keep visitors away from Europa. However, they were generous to their captives and the crew have been well cared for. Over the years, Captain Russell and his crew were able to establish communication with the aliens and exchange information. Their unexpected diplomatic efforts have succeeded and the aliens have accepted contact with Earth. Mr Riddington, Communications Director of the International Space Agency has welcomed the reports saying that ‘this is the beginning of a new age.’”
Hannah and Ella jumped up and hugged each other. Joe clapped.
“We’ve done it, Ella,” Hannah exclaimed. “We managed to get the message through.” She thought for a moment. “And so did the recycled window.”
