(7th) Bastien Trog
Bastien is only slightly younger than Savage. His powers aren’t as deadly at first, but he can cause your muscles to turn to rubber and have no control while he executes you mercilessly. He is never to be trusted and is just as greedy as Savage; he just doesn’t have the army or the power to battle him. He tries to stay out of the way, but consistently endures attacks by Rein – purely for Rein’s enjoyment. The attacks are only to keep Bastien weaker than Rein and never do any more than damage than necessary, just in case Rein needs Bastien to advance himself. Bastien has two wives: Twila is rarely faithful. She is headstrong and makes sex games enjoyable for Bastien and for all her lovers. Mirette, Bastien’s other wife, barely speaks, or even look up from her feet, but her loyalty to her husband wins her favor time and again.
(8th) Rein Lorid
Rein resembles Savage greatly in features, but they are very different in their tactics. Rein wants to pretend he is in charge, but no one respects him like they do Savage. His skills and approach to matters lack planning and battle knowledge. He is highly jealous of his brother, Dennis Savage, and believes he should be given control of the ninth since his brother’s death - not Nick. The denial of his rights to the realm has only increased his jealously and anger and determination to win back what he feels is rightfully his. Safara is his wife, and she is the only reason Rein is being patient and waiting for the right opportunity. She has the intelligence he needs to defeat Nick. She is evil and will do whatever necessary to win.
(9th) Dennis Savage
Asmodeus, the Lord of the Ninth, is the ultimate evil and desires only to have full control of all the realms of hell. His plan to use his grandson’s power to start a war to takeover was supposed to be only the beginning. He killed his own children if they did not meet his standards, and then stole what little power they had before their last breath to make himself stronger. His greed overwhelmed and blinded him to anything outside of what he wants. He had the power to kill within an instant, and carries a cane that holds his poisonous dragon and the secret to his death.

Andrew Curtis Rankin
Rankin is a businessman and a religious man, or so he says. There are many well paid girls who would say otherwise. Rankin was on a mission to clean things up within the city, and his first matter of business was to begin in the district that housed Pagelle. He also happened to be working with Senator Welch in trying to eliminate Kayla Jayzon. Unfortunately for Rankin, he was used to setup Kayla. Rankin was murdered and Dwayne, Exie and Kayla were all accused of it until it was the allegations were shown to be false.
Belinda Savage
Savage's wife and Saldean's and Galena's mother. Dante's stepmother. She hated Dante because of his mother and because her husband favored him over her. She was jealous of any woman he showed attention to, but even more so when he talked of making another woman the mother of any of his children like he did of Haile. Haile was spotted when she was announced as Amery’s fiancé at the meeting of the Lords. Savage protested their engagement and tried to win her over for himself. Her denial of him gave Belinda the opportunity to kill the beauty and be rewarded for it by her husband. Belinda later was found guilty of her criminal act and was captured by Amery and executed for her crime. She never knew her husband reported her crime and forced her death to rid himself of her for good.

Billy Earl Maynard
Kayla's ex stepfather who tortured her and her sister. Nick and Kayla's father murdered him in the street with the most debilitating poison available. He was later tortured even more when Nick was given the opportunity to sentence him to his eternal hell.
Braylin Patrick
Kayla’s only sister. She took care of Kayla like she was her daughter and did all she could to encourage Kayla. Braylin fell for Nick hard, and became obsessed with him and trying to get him to love her. She fell into the hands of Connor Daniels, Nick’s brother, who used his power to destroy her and make her a sex slave for his own money making ventures and in hopes of hurting Nick. Braylin was later killed by Luke when she denied his help to rescue her from Connor.
Bruce Daniels
Connor’s stepfather was a leader of his own criminal business ventures, but he was no match for Dante Jayzon.

Connor Daniels
Nick’s older brother who lived the high life. He tortured Nick every chance he got but soon began to realize he didn’t have the strength or the power to handle Nick. He tried to kill Nick many times before Nick finally killed him, but was never successful. His fear of Nick made him desperate and insane. He attacked Kayla and tried to use her to lure Nick into a trap, but it didn’t work and he ultimately lost his life in prison after being beaten by many men, torn into pieces and left to bleed to death.
Dawson Reynolds
He was an eager mid-twenties employee of Nick’s that betrayed him to help Estrella. He was killed by Nick when he attacked Kayla at the docks.
Franchesca Conti
Franky was Nick’s first love. A shy and awkward girl that felt out of place most everywhere she went. Her overly protective father kept her close to him in their home or his hardware store. The moment she met Nick and looked into his eyes she was obsessed and in love. He showed her how sexy and desirable she could be and desired nothing more than to be with her forever, until he learned that she was not in love with him she was overtaken by his power and the draw it has over women. Nick’s broken heart was only made worse when Connor supposedly killed Franky while trying to kill Nick. Franky’s death was suspicious from the start, and rightfully so. She was taken away by the FBI until Connor’s death. When she was approached by Savage to return and retrieve her beloved Nick with his help she said, “No.” The spell, curse, or whatever you dare call it was broken when Franky met her true love and married him. They already had two children and were quite happy when Savage took her and killed her so Ria, a shape-shifter, could take her place. Kayla forced Ria to return Franky’s body to her family and explain that she was murdered and that she had not run away from them.

Her initial goal was Joseph Estrella until she met Nick Jayzon. After Nick’s denial of her, she tried to betray him and was killed for it, much to her other lover, Luke’s, dismay. Her dead body was later found in an old dilapidated building with other drug addicts and homeless people.

The leader of his own organized crime family, Estrella was an ally for Nick Jayzon and then betrayed him to win favor with Senator Welch. He feared Nick, but when he was thought dead Estrella wanted all of Nick’s territory. Unfortunately he moved too soon and was killed mercilessly by Nick and Elijah.
Kirk Broman
The disgusting guard that attacked Kayla in prison who was tortured and killed by Nick for it.
Luke Norton
Luke became friends with Nick after they both tried to steal the same car and nearly both got arrested for it. The two found humor in the near disaster and became friends. Luke had few friends and appreciated Nick’s friendship like none other. He respected Nick and loved him like a brother, but his jealousy of Kayla made him insane. If not for his encounter with Dennis Savage and his influence, he might have been able to stay loyal, but he failed to keep Kayla away from Nick time and time again. His failure was sure to be met with death. He begged Nick to help him but, despite Nicks promise of help, Luke believed Nick killed his love, Jesse, because of Kayla. Nick would do anything for Kayla and he surely wouldn’t give her up to save Luke. His once thought best friend would no doubt give him up to Savage to save his beloved Kayla. Luke was dead set on making Nick feel the same horrendous heartbreak that he felt but his life was ended when Kayla shot him and took revenge for her sister’s death.
Marshall Camden
Teamed up with Jesse to go after Nick. Together they planned to attack Nick at Pagelle and use Kayla to force Nick to give up his money and information on all his accounts. However, Marshall was grossly misinformed of Nick’s power and ended up being overpowered by Nick’s brother, Ryan, and his crew of men. He was killed and his body was later found alongside Jesse’s in an old dilapidated building with other drug addicts and homeless people.
Matt Drake
Harvey Rice’s right hand man who despised Nick and Elijah. He set Elijah up to be killed but was instead killed by Nick.
Nolan Pickard
Nick's informant at customs who witnessed the battle between Adair, Nick, and Ryan. He was killed by Savage to keep him quite about what he witnessed.

The Lord of the 4th’s middle daughter, she has the power to change her appearance to whomever she wishes. She can also fight off attackers by making them believe you are attacking the one you love the most. She will stop at nothing to gain wealth and power, but doesn’t have the ability to deal with Kayla one on one.
Rianne Milio
Ryan’s mother and the only woman that sparked something within Dante since Sophia. Her beauty was only outdone by her compassion and love for others. Nick adored her and loved her as much as Ryan, and did all he could to help her before she died.
Saldean Savage
Savage’s oldest son and Dante’s only known brother who was killed by Nick when Nick was a child.
Samantha Bailey
Sam is beautiful and shy, but a very capable blind woman. She initially worked for her cold-hearted fiancé, Senator Spencer Welch, but was rescued by Ryan Milio. Sam and Ryan fell in love and were planning a long life together when Savage’s men killed Sam and destroyed the home she and Ryan built together. Sam holds a special place in Ryan’s heart and is never going to be forgotten; nor is he going to let go of her easily. It is going to have to take someone special to win his heart again.
Sancia Jayzon
Savage’s true love and Dante’s mother. Dennis was never able to influence her, but his constant attempts to control her made her sick. No doctor could find a cure for something they didn’t understand. Her death drove Dennis Savage insane and hardened him forever.
Sophia Simone
Dante’s true love, and Brady’s Aunt, Sophia is strong and isn't afraid of hard, dirty work. Her father was attacked anonymously by Dennis Savage and has been rendered incapable of work of any sort. Sophia was forced to take over the family business and try to keep the Savage industry from taking over their property and business. She fell hard for Dante and surprised herself at how fast he captured her heart. Sophia soon became pregnant and Dante moved in to protect her and their unborn child, but Savage would not allow anyone to take the son he treasured away from him. He and his men attacked Dante and Sophia, distracting him from the poisonous dragon coming his way. He was stricken down within seconds, leaving Sophia to believe he was dead. She cried for him and didn't fight when Savage’s man, Barr, broke her neck after her unborn child died on its own. Savage made Dante believe he did it himself, an accident that the High Council could not punish him for. Even though it took time, Barr was forced to confess this crime as well as many others and would later pay for all with eternal pain and anguish.
Spencer Welch
District Attorney that later became senator. He owned Estrella and was out to get Kayla. He wanted to be president and was seeking to align himself with Kayla’s unknown father and become the next Vice- President. His career and goals were derailed by Nick and Kayla’s father, forcing him to commit suicide.
Tanner Aiden Bourghesie
Nick’s uncle, his mother’s only brother. He lived most of his life as a drunk until Nick helped him recover and gave him a job as his driver. Tanner was mistaken for Nick when he boarded his plane and ended up dying in his place.

QUESTIONS FOR THE AUTHOR
How did you come up with the plot?
The idea came to me in a dream. At first it was just Nick driving me crazy and then Kayla began to show up on the warpath. I wasn’t sure what she was so upset about at first, but she seemed to always be searching for someone, and then she finally revealed she was searching for her sister’s killer.
If The Devil´s Eyes were to be made as a film, which actors do you see playing your characters?
Nick and Kayla would be the hardest to cast because I am so particular about who would play them. In fact, I am not sure anyone would be perfect enough. This is a hard question to answer because it would be like who would you replace your kids with, no one seems perfect enough. I am sure I would be happy with whoever once it came together, but it would be hard to match the characters in my head with someone real.
Who is your favorite character?
Nick of course, although all the rest come in a close second.
Was the Devil´s Eyes easy to write?
Yes, the story is a hundred percent me, and I love every part of it. I didn’t hold back out of fear that someone might not like the direction or the flow. I don’t care for sweet happy endings, or perfect characters. I much prefer the perfectly flawed characters with and edge.
What are your plans regarding the series/characters? Will we get to read more about Nick and Kayla?

ge constantly. Originally there was only going to be two books at most and then it turned into three and then four and then five. Now with the release of the sixth, I am really not sure where it will end at this point. I would like to have a series dedicated to Nicky, I think he has a lot of his father in him and will be a fascinating character when he gets older.
