that it was embedded in back at the museum.

  JASMINE

  Do you want me to-

  MISTRESS

No, you’re still not ready. I’ll find someone else. I just pray that it’s still there.

INT. – MAIN TEMPLE – MIDDAY

(Scene opens with a full shot of the relic room from one of the temples. The priestess is busy organizing old vases, talismans, etc., around when she hears Lana come in. She scowls as Lana walks over carrying a briefcase. Duke and Wilt follow carrying a tarp. Duke appears to be in even worse shape than before.)

  PRIESTESS

(Unenthused) Oh. You’re here. I’ve set aside some relics for you to perform your heresy on. There are a few more in the other room.

(The Priestess walks off-screen. Duke and Wilt lay down the tarp. Lana opens her briefcase, puts on disposable gloves, and picks up a nearby vase. Cut to a one shot of Lana with the vase.)

  LANA

Hello there, beautiful. Mind if we just skip straight to third vase?

(Lana looks over at Duke and Wilt expecting them to laugh. Cut to a medium shot of the two showing that they are not laughing. Cut to a shot of all three.)

  LANA

Screw you guys. That was hilarious!

(Lana begins taking her tools out of the briefcase and using them to examine the vase. Duke leans against the wall, noticeably out of breath. Wilt tries to help Duke back up but Duke pushes him away.)

  DUKE

I’m just a little hungry, that’s all. Why did we have to walk all the way here?

  WILT

When was the last time you ate?

  DUKE

I don’t know. When did we have pancakes?

(The shot widens as the priestess walks in carrying a box of stuff. Wilt looks like he is about to say something to Duke but Duke’s phone rings drawing his attention. His ringtone has changed.)

  PHONE

Where is the home for me? O Cyprus, set in the sea…

  DUKE

(Completely transfixed) I’ve got to take this.

(Duke exits off-screen to go and answer his phone. The priestess watches with great interest.)

  PRIESTESS

Those symptoms look pretty familiar. Too bad everything in my religion is just a silly myth.

(Worried, Wilt runs over to the priestess. Cut to a medium shot of the two.)

  WILT

  What’s going on with Duke?

(Cut to outside the temple where Duke is getting into a limousine. The door to the limo closes and it drives off just as Wilt runs out chasing Duke and Lana runs out chasing Wilt.)

  LANA

  Wilt! What are you doing?

  WILT

I don’t have time to explain but we have to get to Duke as fast as we can.

  (Fade to black.)

INT. – SELENE’S DRESSING ROOM – SEVERAL MINUTES LATER

(Scene opens with Duke and Selene making out on Selene’s bed. Duke stops her and sits up on the edge of the bed.)

  SELENE

  Why did you stop?

  DUKE

  I think I should go.

(Duke gets up to leave but stops when Selene sings.)

  SELENE

  Oh no you don’t.

(Duke turns around and goes back to Selene. Suddenly the sound of someone slamming against the door is heard. Cut to a one shot of the door.)

  WILT

  Ow! Damn it!

(The door is slammed again and this time it swings open to reveal Wilt standing on the other side. Cut to a full shot of the room. Wilt runs into the room and Lana follows. Selene gets up to confront them but Duke stays on the bed, lost in a trance.)

  LANA

Now will someone please tell me what’s going on!

  WILT

Selene isn’t just a normal singer. She is a Siren!

  LANA

Wait. You mean like the Greek legend?

  WILT

Some men will abandon everything to follow a Siren. Their jobs, their families, they even sacrifice their own wellbeing. But the Siren never cares. Not as long as she gets what she wants.

  SELENE

You mortals can be so irritating.

(Cut to a one shot of Selene. Her body begins to tremble as she starts growing taller, sprouting feathers, and her fingers morph into sharp talons. Suddenly a gunshot is heard and a lamp behind her shatters. Cut to a close up of Wilt holding the gun he stole from Burt and visibly shaking with anger. Then cut to a full shot of the room as Selene shrinks back down to her normal form.)

  SELENE

  Whoa dude! Just calm down.

  WILT

Now. We are going to take Duke home, you are going to stay right here, and we are all going to get along like CIVILIZED HUMAN BEINGS! Got it?

  SELENE

If the alternative is getting shot in the head then I’ll do whatever you say.

(Wilt continues to shake until Lana comes to calm him down. Selene backs away giving them access to Duke who is still on the bed.)

  LANA

Ok Wilt. We did it. We saved Duke. You can give me the gun now.

(Wilt lets Lana take the gun out of his hands. He manages to calm down a bit and helps Duke off of the bed. Duke is still a little dazed but is uncharacteristically grateful to receive Wilt’s help.)

  DUKE

  Thank you.

(Selene crosses her arms in frustration as Wilt lets Duke lean on his shoulder and they exit the room. The scene fades out as Lana follows.)

  EXT. – ALLEY – NIGHT

(Scene opens with a tracking shot of Duke walking down an alleyway while unwrapping and eating a granola bar.)

  DUKE

I don’t know what I was thinking, letting her manipulate me like that.

(Cut to a one shot of Duke. He throws his wrapper behind him. Then he stops as he sees something.)

  DUKE

  Sonya?

(Cut to a medium shot of Duke and Sonya. Sonya is wearing a trench coat with nothing underneath it.)

  SONYA

You leave without saying goodbye? You owe me at least one more night Butchmann.

  DUKE

  But you’re husband-

  SONYA

Is in jail with a broken leg.

(Cut to shot of Sonya from behind. She opens her trench coat and flashes Duke.)

  DUKE

  (Shrugs) What the hell.

(Duke pulls Sonya in close and kisses her. Cut to black.)
