You see, these badges - artefacts - make you feel good for a short time but then something better, newer, bigger, glitzier inevitably comes along and makes the old one seem, well, rather crappy really. This causes a dilemma because the list keeps renewing itself and in the blink of an eye, contentment vanishes.
