“Hello, Alan, and congratulations,” a voice said from behind Bradley.

As Bradley turned he saw an elderly statesman. “Governor Wilson, it’s good to see you. What are you doing in town?”

The two shook hands while the cameras clicked off picture after picture. “I’m here to give a talk at the Annual Washington State Mayor’s Convention, and I thought I’d come see you and take advantage of a free photo opportunity,” Wilson replied, changing positions for more photos. “How’s your father, Alan? I haven’t seen him since my re-election fund raiser last summer. By the way, I didn’t get a chance to thank him for his generous contribution to my campaign. Will you do that for me?”

“He’s doing great, and of course I will. I’ll be having brunch with him at the club this Sunday, why don’t you join us?” Bradley replied.

“I wish I could, but I have to be in Olympia by Friday. Besides, once your father and I start talking about the old days, you’ll never shut us up,” Wilson chuckled. “I’ve got to get going. I’m late for a meeting.”

“Thank you for coming, sir,” Bradley said as Wilson walked away.

After a few minutes, O’Leary could see that things were starting to break up, so he walked back into the room and over to Anderson. “Kid, get the team together and meet me at HQ ASAP, for a final briefing.”

“Yes sir,” came the reply, as O’Leary turned and exited the room.
