I go by the notorious call sign of Gothamsreckoning. Some of you I have shed blood with, conquered with, and even perished with. Others I have not met but I promise that I have followed you since the moment you opened your eyes into this virtual haven.
I have contacted you because you are the elite, the true spirits, the blood that flows through the veins of VEG, breathing life into its reality. Although ghosts to the real world, I have seen you, truly seen your souls.
I call on you now to rise up in arms against the corporate army that now controls our virtual realm; against the ones that have taken the purity of our existence and turned us upon each other without our consent; against those that have segregated us once again through their capitalistic greed.
The plagues that tore apart the genuine bonds of humanity have transcended the virtual barriers and are now poisoning both worlds. The dream has collapsed upon itself and all of us let it happen, focusing on our own personal gain. I know, because isolation is easier. We see less pain in its existence because we have a close-knit group of users to fall back on. Why care about others when your guild can provide you the support you seek?
I’ll tell you why, because we are all one people. VEG was a chance to prove that again, a way to escape the pettiness of our existence and rise to the planes of gods. Once more we are at a cross roads, and once more we are walking through that dark valley where the puppet masters control the upper ground. We cannot see them but we can feel their grip, hiding in the space between the visible code.
That dream of the golden days still exists. Rise now, rise as one with me. I will make that dream a reality. Corporate media would have you believe that I’m a parasite with the sole purpose of destroying VEG. I ask you to open your eyes and break free of the chains that bind you to their system.
Fight with me my brothers and sisters. Fight to take back the spirit of VEG that’s slowly dying. Fight the tyranny that has laid waste to both worlds. The final World War is upon us, and we can let it take us over individually or we can join forces and conquer the puppeteers together once and for all.
